At a distance to the west of the flaming speedboat wreckage, the brightness of the flames slowly faded here.
Next to a floating piece of debris, ripples suddenly appeared on the surface of the ocean, and a man's head emerged — it was one of Rupert's subordinates, the guy with a butt chin.
"Puh—"
He spat out a mouthful of seawater and propped himself up on the debris, slightly relieved.
With his back towards Butt Chin, he reached behind and opened his backpack, pulling out an object as long as a human arm with a cylinder in the middle and something resembling fans on both sides.
This was an underwater propulsion device he had specially prepared for the operation today.
The operational range of the underwater propulsion device wasn't sufficient to reach the shore, but it was fast enough to leave the area quickly. Once out of this area, everything would be simpler.
As he adjusted the underwater propulsion device, Butt Chin glanced at the area where Reesi and others were on the speedboats and muttered to himself:
"This isn't over yet, just you wait."
After a few seconds, Butt Chin finished preparing, took a deep breath, and was about to activate the underwater propulsion device to leave quickly.
Just as the man submerged his head back into water, his expression suddenly changed, because he felt something grabbing his foot!
It was too far from the flames, and now it was night, Butt Chin instinctively struggled and looked down, but he couldn't see anything except the pitch-black sea water.
The pitch-dark deep sea is one of the concrete things most humans fear, and Butt Chin was no exception, feeling a chill down his spine in that instant.
After struggling instinctively for a few moments, he suddenly felt the thing grabbing him was a human hand. Butt Chin was startled for a moment, and while he felt a sense of relief, fury suddenly blazed in his eyes.
While struggling to swim upwards, he reached towards his lower back, intending to draw his pistol and kill the person who had given him such a scare.
Then his hand found nothing.
Luo An, hidden beneath the surface, had taken the opportunity to pocket the pistol he found on the man and made sure there were no other weapons on him, then raised his fist and smashed it against the man's head.
Thump—
A muffled sound erupted underwater, and Butt Chin felt his tears and mucus uncontrollably fly out, but it was then that he finally saw Luo An's face, and he yelled both angrily and in shock:
"Is it you, goddamn CIA?!"
Luo An was quite annoyed and raised his fist to hit the man on his nose again:
"Although I hit you, cursing at people is your fault, when did I say I was CIA?"
"Mother Fu-ker!"
A punch from Luo An left Butt Chin seeing stars, his face turning red with even greater anger:
"Who the hell are you?"
"You should answer that question first."
Luo An clamped the arm the man had swung at him, kicked the underwater propulsion device far away, then firmly locked both the man's arms, and asked coldly:
"I just found Rupert, Zakaria, and a few others' bodies, as well as the initial point of the explosion, which was your speedboat.
It's clear that you're the mastermind behind this whole incident, now that I've caught you, isn't it time you explained your grand plan?"
"Do you think I'm one of those brainless villains from the movies, who answer whatever you ask?"
Butt Chin sneered repeatedly, struggled furiously, and kept slamming his head backward, trying to hit Luo An's nose to free himself from being controlled.
"You're indeed not the main villain."
A knee strike to the man's waist caused Butt Chin to scream loudly, Luo An grinned to purposely provoke him, saying:
"The real super-villains are those who sit in offices, smoking cigars and sipping coffee, accompanied by a bunch of bodyguards, with many people working for them.
You're at best a security team leader, just like the guy in movies who gets killed by the protagonist in the first scene; you can't get more than that."
"Ah—"
Butt-chin man became even more furious upon hearing Luo An's words, letting out a loud roar but still not revealing his name.
Finally, he violently struggled free from Luo An's control of his left arm, not choosing to attack Luo An but instead embracing him, took a deep breath, and pressed Luo An towards the ocean floor:
"Suffocate to death here!"
Luo An: "..."
Luo An, being pressed into the ocean floor, twitched his eyelids but remained calm, not only did he not struggle to break free, he even helped butt-chin man adjust his position to better lock himself in.
"..."
Feeling Luo An's movements, butt-chin man was momentarily stunned, realizing that Luo An was aiming to compete with him in holding breath, he scoffed repeatedly.
He could hold his breath underwater for ten minutes; butt-chin man absolutely did not believe that this guy, who was good-looking and nothing else, could hold his breath longer than him.
Both men kept holding out, and five minutes passed quickly with both Luo An and butt-chin man looking composed; after eight minutes, butt-chin man's face showed doubt, while Luo An was not only calm but even started to smile.
Around nine minutes, the color drained from butt-chin man's face, he began to struggle frantically, trying to swim upwards recklessly, but Luo An grabbed him, pulled him back down, and said not to rush, let's go for another ten minutes.
Splash—Splash—Splash—
The turbulent waves continuously churned on the sea surface, and two minutes later, the waves gradually subsided, and butt-chin man completely lost consciousness and passed out.
Luo An casually grabbed some debris, tossed butt-chin man onto it, and fed him a bottle of [Sleeping Potion].
Then Luo An drank a[Stamina Potion], [Hemostatic Potion], [Speed Potion], [Strength Potion], and [Gill Potion], transferred butt-chin man to the wreckage of the yacht, carefully checked the pistol and dagger on his body, and started swimming expressionlessly toward the speedboat where Reesi was located.
At the speedboat, Reesi's cheeks were bruised, her collar stained with plenty of blood, her mouth stuffed with a piece of rag, hands tied, leaning at the back of the yacht, eyes glaring roundly, the gaze she directed at Evelyn and Conrad revealed a fierce, unmasked fury.
"Group Leader."
Evelyn, watching Reesi who seemed ready to bite her own, paused for a few seconds, then hesitantly moved close to Conrad and asked in a low voice:
"The profile indicates that Group Leader Greenwood's overall abilities are exceptional, and the incident with Sean proved this, are we sure in doing this..."
Conrad glanced at her expressionlessly and continued looking into the distance, softly speaking:
"Greenwood's abilities are indeed strong, but swimming is an extremely exhausting sport.
No matter what the outcome is on his side, he will have to use up a lot of energy, add the fact that Reesi is in our hands, given Greenwood's habit of cherishing his subordinates, he will inevitably surrender himself; the advantage is ours."
"So that's it; I was wondering why you didn't let me kill her earlier."
Evelyn suddenly nodded, casting a flirtatious glance at Conrad, and whispered:
"I thought you wanted to taste what being a lesbian like."
Conrad ignored Evelyn, but a glimpse of ruthlessness flashed through his eyes, Evelyn, feeling awkward, pouted and walked toward Reesi at the back, laughing:
"So, lesbian, want me to plead for you so you can experience sleeping with a man before you die?"
Reesi, with her mouth stuffed, couldn't speak, but the anger in her eyes did not disappear, replaced instead by disdain and mockery, emotions like fear and terror were nowhere to be seen.
Evelyn stunned for a moment, suddenly felt chills down her spine as she realized something, stood up in fear and shouted:
"Conrad! Greenwood he..."
Bang!
Before she could finish, a gunshot suddenly rang out, and Evelyn instantly got shot in the right shoulder and fell into the sea!
