Chapter 1038: 1038: The Female Hooligan’s Grace Is Undiminished

Chapter 1038: Chapter 1038: The Female Hooligan’s Grace Is Undiminished

As civilizations at the top, Xyrin and Star Domain both have their own research and response systems for the Abyss, not just to combat the various disasters generated by the Abyss, but also to analyze the Abyss itself: crossing the Gate of Abyss.

The Deep Dive Project from the Old Empire Era was not the first project to cross the gate, it was merely the farthest and most insane one. Before the Deep Dive Project, the Old Empire had already sent probes and unmanned outposts to the Gate of Abyss, and there were a few “Crossing Gate” projects involving personnel. However, the data from those projects are now missing, and we still don’t know how the Old Empire managed to safely conduct tasks beyond the Abyss Gate—it’s possible all similar projects failed. In short, the records from that time are now inaccessible.

In contrast to the Empire, the Divine Race began exploring the Gate of Abyss earlier and more comprehensively, utilizing their race’s special advantages to explore and seal the Gate of Abyss (of course, these are methods the Empire cannot replicate, this group of rich second generation possess individual qualities far beyond specifications…). Nonetheless, even for the Divine Race, this kind of activity remains the most dangerous project—Bingdisi frankly said that if her father learned about her jumping in with me today, she’d at least receive a hefty beating and might even get chased around the world by him…

“So today, I’ve gone all out, and you ought to be grateful,” Bingdisi said arrogantly on the way to the work ship’s location.

Alright, I know she’s just trying to lighten the mood. After all, we’ve sensed quite intense energy accumulation ahead, and such strong energy convergence cannot be a spontaneous occurrence within the Abyss Domain—something akin to items from the Main Material World has invaded our testing ground, and it is highly likely that these items have sabotaged the experiment, encircling our engineering team. In the Abyss Domain, seeing things from the Main Material World was originally a cause for joy, but the current situation is an exception.

“Let’s hope it’s not those deranged folks; they’ve caused enough trouble already.” Sandora bit her lip, looking quite upset, and I knew exactly what she’s referring to: those who survive in the Abyss Domain and disrupt Empire projects can only be Fallen Apostles, and that intensive energy reaction… despite the Abyss’s impact, the perception isn’t very clear, but there’s certainly the characteristic of Ghost Energy.

“You probably guessed right… look ahead!” Bingdisi suddenly said, pulling us to a stop.

It seemed to appear all of a sudden; a massive shadow emerged several kilometers ahead, resembling a strange giant beast floating from the night sky. One of the unimposing figures is the engineering ship we lost contact with, and its situation looks dire. The shield is still present but has dimmed to at least half its original brightness since departure. Strange black patterns floating on the outer shield are signs of Abyss pollution. Its shield system is refreshing but seems to lag behind the pace of pollution. The armor at the rear of the engineering ship has two obvious tears, which should be where the escape tower is located—I still remember Big Beard’s report mentioning the sudden disintegration of the work ship’s escape tower.

The shield remains, yet the escape tower disintegrated, a truly abnormal situation.

And opposite our engineering ship is a black warship shrouded in deep mist, located only about ten kilometers away (this figure might not be accurate, as in the Abyss environment, all sensation seems somewhat negligible, with spiritual perception methods losing precision, everything seems a bit nebulous). Its design is a model of warship we’ve never seen before, but its black coating is so familiar—the warship of Fallen Apostles.

Just as the Abyssal Aura interfered with our perception, it seems the opponent hasn’t detected us either. Amid the chaotic background noise, three small figures cannot be identified by shipborne radar, but as we gradually approach, Sandora cautiously disguises herself: she releases the Abyssal Aura from within, synchronizing us and the surrounding environment. In such a state, she appears as an Abyssal Aggregation in most energy sense radars. Taville, based on various Special Abilities of the Empire’s leader, confirmed this in a series of studies: Sandora possesses the ability to entirely conceal her aura within the Abyss.

Until today, we hadn’t realized Sandora’s ability had any productive use…

“It doesn’t seem like a warship,” Sandora observed the Fallen Apostle ship enveloped in mist, which silently standoff against the engineering ship, but we didn’t notice any obvious weapons system on it. It seems… perhaps it’s a research spaceship. “An odd mode of submersion, it appears Fallen Apostles have developed their own technology tree in the ‘Deep Dive’ domain.”

“Is it the layer of mist?” Bingdisi frowned. “There’s an Abyss scent to it. They’ve radically Abyssalized their spaceship to immunize it against erosion. It’s like drinking poison to quench thirst, I wager this ship’s Abyss Shield will also gradually destroy its own structure.”

“The engineering ship has no response; it seems they’ve shut down the communication channel and Spiritual Link from the inside,” Sandora’s eyesight shifted from the mysterious Fallen Apostle spaceship back to our engineering ship. “Though I can sense it’s not being eroded by Abyss yet. Shall we first destroy the Fallen Apostle’s ship or capture it?”

“I choose the latter,” I moved about a bit, “Taville will definitely appreciate this specimen—I’ll go stir things up, Sandora maintain control, Bingdisi heal me, I’ll count down three-two-one, BUFF… go!”

As soon as the words fell, both Sandora and Bingdisi kicked me: “Get to it already!”

I left Sandora’s Abyss concealment, brazenly swooping towards the Fallen Apostle ship, obviously, I was a glaring target: amidst an environment filled with pollution, a sudden appearance of a Void “clean zone,” akin to Anwina at night, dazzlingly stood out. The Fallen Apostle ship almost immediately reacted as predicted by adjusting its stance and fleeing—quite expectedly, that thing seemed not designed for frontline combat, so naturally, it wouldn’t stay and wait for death, moreover, I reckon my appearance holds quite a reputation among the Fallen Apostles—especially this black, noseless, eyeless postmodern form, indelibly memorable for anyone who has seen it once, with the timid potentially being scared to tears in their dreams. The Fallen Apostles had the unfortunate happenstance of losing several ships to me in Void Form, even gargantuan ones like Eternal Level, pose hardly any resistance against a transformed Void Creature.

And just as the opponent turned to flee, Bingdisi emerged from hiding, raising the Holy Scripture high, with her wings flaring to their maximum in the Holy Light, her long silver hair flowing down her ankles seemingly coated in streaming brilliance, dancing in the air without wind, such that amidst the holy radiance, Bingdisi’s sacredness was nearly unbearable to behold—even, out of conscience, I must admit she looked exceedingly beautiful now. Then this sacred female hooligan swung her arms, hurling the Holy Scripture right upon the black ship’s engine—

My exit aimed precisely at this, forcing the black ship to flee, exposing its power units, then Bingdisi would violently wreck its engine, while Sandora remained concealed ready to use Spiritual Shock to kill or enslave all crew if Fallen Apostles tried to detonate their ship. This was the short-term plan we three agreed on, and Bingdisi throwing that Brick was the most crucial step.

To seize a ship, the most effective tactic is to first destroy its engines, but facing a never before seen ship model, you can’t ascertain its engine’s weak point, especially with Xyrin Technology manufactured engines. These engines generally use specific area space constants to create thrust effects, thus virtually can be installed anywhere on the ship—the sole requirement being positioned in an outer layer since its energy radiation is too intense affecting core device stability—and as a ship designed for special environment engineering, this black ship not only features special propulsion designs but also deliberately hides its power modules. Sandora couldn’t determine through experience its propulsion system’s location in which compartment. But none of this matters; once the black ship initiated, its power units inevitably exhibited energy flow, no matter how deeply concealed, uncompromisingly caught by Bingdisi’s level of Energy Perception, and thanks to the Abyss environment, even Imperial Ships must opt for primitive continuous propulsion engines here, unable for Space Jump, rendering the Fallen Apostle ship incapable of outrunning Bingdisi’s Brick, imbued with Holy Light, I even suspect that thing flies superluminal…

The shining golden Holy Scripture pierced through the Abyss Mist surrounding the black spaceship, then solidly crashed into the exposed energy supply pipeline of the engine. The shield and armor that were supposed to withstand powerful attacks crumbled instantly under Bingdisi’s violent assault. The black spaceship’s rear half exploded in a series of massive blasts, with shattered metal components and large debris scattering like fireworks. Bingdisi’s holy brick had unparalleled power. I’ve personally seen this thing pierce through the armor of an Expedition Class, and this small engineering ship looks like it’s only a tenth the size of the Expedition Class and ended up being swiftly annihilated by Sister Bing’s full-on rage cut…

Uh, it seems like that female hooligan went a bit overboard… The spaceship won’t be blown up directly by her, will it?!

“Damn it, seems like I might have messed up…” Bingdisi exclaimed right after, charging past me with a fiery flair. The holy light on her body erupted fiercely once again, enveloping the collapsing layers of the black spaceship for protection. However, it seemed to be too late. Items destroyed in the Abyss environment disintegrate much faster than they would in the material world. The black spaceship’s defense system was no longer intact, and the surrounding Abyss energy surged in, wrecking its internal structure. Even a Fallen Apostle infected by the Abyss is still vulnerable within the Abyss Gate; after all, their bodies and creations are still founded on order. Sandora also removed her disguise; unlike Bingdisi, she didn’t possess the ability to shelter others with holy light. However, she had the identity of an Abyss Creature: she could command a Secondary Abyss to a certain extent.

Sandora rushed into Bingdisi’s torrent of holy light, thrusting her black claws into the radiant barrier. The out-of-control Abyss that had already surged into the black spaceship immediately coiled, rushing towards Sandora’s massive claw, like iron filings drawn to a magnet. Sandora showed a look of disgust on her face, but she had now become the “mother” of those Abyssal powers trapped within the holy light environment. Despite her displeasure, she had to carry on.

“Ah Jun, things will escalate into a new storm if this continues!” Sandora’s spiritual link echoed in my mind, “This damn place amplifies all destruction acts. Bingdisi’s brick became the detonator… We must find a way to quell the chaos here!”

As we all know, my most formidable skill in the Void is an up-close fighting technique combining simplicity with lethality, having broad applicability and impressive explosiveness, embodying violent aesthetics and a straightforward value—Wang Ba Fist. But upon considering it, I felt this move might not be suitable for the current situation. I tried expanding the Void Domain to encompass the half-dismantled black spaceship within it. This achieved some results: the Abyss Storm was isolated, slowing the spaceship’s destruction pace. Yet it continued self-destroying under Bingdisi’s holy light protection, Void Power’s purification, and Sandora’s Abyss Drain, dismantling itself gradually. Suddenly, I realized something: Abyss Power had already forged “destruction” as an attribute into this spaceship. Its sole purpose now was to head towards disintegration; “constant self-destruction” had become its physical nature!

Abyss Power can wreak havoc at will within its own lair, having lost the buffer of the material world’s order; here, chaos and destruction reign. Once a defense system shows a slight flaw, deadly corrosion will seep through that crevice… If the black spaceship had employed technology similar to ours, the situation might have been somewhat better, but its shield designed to fend off Abyss intrusion surprisingly had Abyss characteristics… I don’t quite understand the technological tree of Fallen Apostle, but now it appears such a shield has circle-back accelerated this ship toward death.

Just as I had prepared to leave this Fallen Apostle spaceship to its fate, Bingdisi suddenly acted impulsively, charging toward it with great fervor. Holy light radiating from her wings dazzled like a new sun’s brilliance. “Damn, made a big mess; if I don’t rescue this thing today, I might as well go back and have my wings braised by you two!”

Me: “…” Damn, what a bizarre way to swear, aren’t you afraid Sandora will take it seriously?

In just the blink of an eye, Bingdisi already transformed into a pure light mass, quickly growing into a gigantic holy flame. I was entirely sure I saw her body convert from solid to light, a remarkable sight… Sandora immediately pointed at Bingdisi’s light mass incarnation, shouting, “Ah, you’ve turned into a bean too! Just like you teased me about!”

Me again, “…” How is she still hung up on her transformation into a bean, failing at becoming Pac-Man?

“Chen, protect me well! Also, keep your wife in check!” Bingdisi’s frantic voice transmitted through the spiritual link to me. I quickly strengthened the stability of the Void Domain, focusing hard to prevent the nearby Abyss Storm from approaching even slightly, simultaneously glancing at Sandora: you can start singing “My Sun” now.

Sandora ignored me, I felt the main reason was her lack of musicality, otherwise, she’d dare sing…

The enormous holy light ball already enveloped the entire black spaceship. The continuously self-dissolving ship fragments punctured wildly within the light ball, leaving behind filthy black trails. Yet compared to the nearby holy brilliance, such pollution seemed instantly purifiable, although watching it still gave me chills: how painful would it be? Isn’t it like having iron skewers rampaging inside Bingdisi’s body?

Even though I knew she was a hardy female hooligan, I couldn’t help feeling a bit moved suddenly. But soon, Bingdisi’s brazen roar echoed from the spiritual link, stirring me even more strongly:

“Holy shit! Screw your mom! Competing in toughness is it now? Hell no, I’ve taken down Abyss Gates bigger than your ancestors! Hurry up and roll out of this lump of black iron! Oh my… You got more? Forcing me to use my ultimate move is it now!? Don’t think you, formless-feathered, can escape me; have you seen a Holy Storm? Heard of the Holy Ode? By the power of holy light, Booming Goddess kills you, bastard!”

The rally cry was awe-inspiring, full of energy. I felt that female hooligan was definitely vigorous enough to wreck dozens more Abyss Gates, and my sense of awe instantly vanished into thin air. Turning to Sandora, the Queen covered her face with her claw, seemingly in collapse, trembling and said to me: “Ah Jun, I’m not acquainted with this guy, genuinely… Should we leave?”

“Hold up, everything’s sorted!” Bingdisi’s full-voice resonated abruptly into the spiritual network, followed by the extraordinarily strong holy light in the surrounding space gradually settling. Amid holy light’s afterglow, I saw Sister Bing transformed back… Uh, that moment wasn’t nudity, was it… It was absolutely this bizarre sister’s exaggerated figure inducing an illusion!

Alright, I still want to say this: when a pretty girl transforms, holy light, and whatnot, it’s downright wicked—plus this time, it’s genuine holy light, genuinely wicked…

“Recued a single fragment,” Bingdisi tossed over a mountain-like metal component, still swirling with scalding holy light to fend off further Abyss erosion. Holy light itself isn’t hot, but its energy reaction similar to Ghost Energy gives me—a person highly sensitive to various energies—a burning illusion. This piece looks like a small section from the black spaceship’s middle, though not large, potentially holds more value than others: the middle section of an engineering ship usually contains sophisticated equipment and sample storage rooms. I saw Sandora’s eyes distinctly brightened, while Bingdisi continued chattering, “Heh, truly disappointing, seems like no one inside; I thought I’d capture some prisoners. You keep this safe, remember to purify it with your Universal Love Fist, we’ll have a gift for that glasses girl once we return.”

I was absolutely dumbstruck watching the fiery Bingdisi, seeing her fly onto the engineering ship nearby approaching us, wielding Wang Ba Fist, bang-bang smashing its deck, then opening a hole on another deck of the engineering ship, from which a Big Beard emerged, awkwardly gesturing at us, transmitting a helpless explanation through the spiritual link: “Um… Could you tell her the entrance is over here?” (To be continued.
