Chapter 1866: Chapter 1866: Symptoms of a Nosebleed

Jian Yufei leaned into his embrace, with her hand hooked around his neck, responding to his kiss.

Ruan Tianling tightened his hold, deepening the kiss, almost drawing every bit of air from her lungs with each one.

Jian Yufei gradually felt breathless, yet she kissed him back hungrily, unwilling to let go.

Suddenly, some warm liquid flowed between their tightly pressed lips—

A metallic taste spread.

Ruan Tianling released her, seeing her nosebleed, he was instantly at a loss.

He raised his hand to wipe the blood with his sleeve, but Jian Yufei promptly pushed his hand away: “Give me a tissue.”

Ruan Tianling grabbed a few tissues and helped her wipe it.

“Why did you suddenly get a nosebleed?” he asked, frowning seriously.

Jian Yufei chuckled: “With such allure in front, a nosebleed is inevitable.”

Ruan Tianling glared at her: “Answer properly!”

“Probably got overheated from the hot springs.”

“Let’s go to the hospital for a check-up later.”

“It’s just overheating, nothing worth checking. The hot springs caused it, then you tempted me, adding fuel to the fire, so there’s the nosebleed.” Jian Yufei analyzed logically.

Ruan Tianling humorously pinched her nose: “If the nosebleed happens again, you’re going to the hospital with me.”

“Alright.” Jian Yufei smiled gently, not revealing any flaws.

Once the nosebleed stopped, she grabbed her clothes and went to shower.

Ruan Tianling disagreed with her showering, worried the hot water might cause another nosebleed.

Jian Yufei said amusedly: “I’ll only rinse quickly and come out right away, it’ll be fine.”

Ruan Tianling thought she just got overheated from the hot springs, so he didn’t worry too much.

Jian Yufei walked into the bathroom, and as she closed the door, the smile vanished from her face.

She hadn’t expected nosebleed symptoms so soon, how much longer could she endure?

However, she hoped it was merely from overheating and nothing more.

After staying at the manor for two days, Jian Yufei and the others became familiar with this small town.

The environment and air here were truly great, unpolluted, giving a fresh and clean feeling.

That day, Mo Lan had lunch and decided to take a stroll, enjoying the small town’s afternoon scenery.

Jian Yufei felt a bit sleepy, didn’t want to go, and just wanted to sleep, so Mo Lan went for a walk alone.

The small town was very safe; she took her phone and went out by herself.

Not far from the manor, there was a school.

Mo Lan walked to the playground outside the school, watching the boys play football through the wire fence. After a while, she continued down the road.

The afternoon sunlight was pleasant, warm on the skin, yet not scorching.

Mo Lan walked to a shop selling specialty snacks, enticed by the sweet aroma, she couldn’t help but approach to buy some.

The vendor wrapped some snacks in a paper bag for her, Mo Lan paid, took a piece of pastry, and bit into it—

Immediately, a durian flavor spread, she detested durians.

Mo Lan quickly found a trash can, spitting into it for a moment.

The durian taste made her retch a few times, losing all appetite.

She threw away the snacks, bought a bottle of drink, and felt much better after a few sips.

As she planned to continue forward, an old lady suddenly approached her from behind, whispering: “Young lady, there’s a man who seems to be following you, be careful.”

The old lady quickly said and left.

Mo Lan was terribly frightened by her words.
