Chapter 273: Chapter 273: Come on, let’s duel_1
"Baby, my father isn’t like that at all!"
When the Black man saw his girlfriend’s displeasure, he immediately explained, "In Africa, there are wealthy chiefs and poor chiefs. The chief in the video is clearly one of the poor ones. He doesn’t have much wealth or resources."
"Oh." The woman nodded, half-convinced.
"Hold on a second," Su Xuan continued his phone call with the chief. "I didn’t catch your name just now."
"My name is Umu Weiwewei Wenyetun Wenweiwu..." A long string of names rattled from the phone, making Su Xuan’s eyes widen. "You can call me Papa Ka." Thankfully, the man then offered a simpler name.
"Oh, hello, Chief Papa Ka," Su Xuan said. "How much medicine do you want to buy from me?"
"One hundred thousand Yuan worth of anti-inflammatory drugs," Papa Ka said. "The medicine from your China is cheap and effective. You must sell some to us!"
"A hundred thousand..." Su Xuan looked troubled. "One hundred thousand Yuan worth of medicine is too little. That’s not even enough to cover logistics!"
"It’s not just my tribe buying your medicine," Papa Ka said. "We have fifty or sixty other tribes that want to buy together. Our total budget is over a million Yuan!"
After he spoke, Papa Ka shifted the camera. Fifty or sixty Black men in extremely plain clothing appeared on the screen.
"These are all the tribal chiefs who can afford the medicine," Papa Ka continued. "Please give us a reasonable price."
At this point in the video call, the woman in the car was once again dumbstruck.
Fifty or sixty chiefs, all supposedly able to afford medicine, yet they all look so poor! And all those tribes together could only scrape together a little over a million Yuan? This is unbelievable...
The woman’s face darkened as she turned to the Black man. "Is your father in that group?"
The Black man stammered, "Uh..."
"You’re lying to me, aren’t you?" the woman pressed. "Your father isn’t some tycoon, and your family doesn’t own any oil fields, right?"
"Baby, your visa is being processed, isn’t it?" the Black man pleaded. "When it’s ready, you can just go see for yourself."
"See for myself? No way! You’re a big liar! For all I know, if I go there, I might never come back!"
The woman immediately asked Su Xuan to stop the car, pushing the door open and getting out. She said gratefully to Su Xuan, "Thank you, sir! If it weren’t for you, I would’ve been scammed. I’ll give you a five-star rating right away!"
"Baby, listen to me!" The Black man also scrambled out of the car, grabbing her arm. "That Didi driver is the one who’s lying! He’s just a driver, how could he be making a deal worth millions? He definitely hired those men in the video just to mess with us! You have to believe me. Come to Africa and see for yourself—"
"Get lost!" The woman shook his hand off. "He doesn’t even know us, so he has no reason to mess with us. Can’t he just be a rich guy who keeps a low profile? Don’t you ever show your face to me again!"
With that, the woman strode away.
Watching her retreating back, the Black man cursed, "Damn it!"
"Oh, alright, alright. We’ll give you a reasonable price, but it won’t be too low, either. After all, we can’t do business at a loss, right? I’ll discuss the lowest price with my company and get back to you, okay?"
Inside the car, Su Xuan hung up after reaching a preliminary agreement with Papa Ka. He glanced at the Black man outside, a strange look still on his face.
I really didn’t mean to mess with anyone this time. What a coincidence!
"You’ve gone too far!" Suddenly, the Black man rushed to Su Xuan’s car window, stuck his head in, and snarled, "You ruined my precious international love! I challenge you to a duel!"
"A duel?" Su Xuan smiled. "I have to drive to make money. I don’t have time for a duel with you."
Su Xuan started the car to leave, but unexpectedly, the man reached in and grabbed his steering wheel.
"You’re the one who’s gone too far!" Even with his good temper, Su Xuan’s expression darkened at the man’s actions. He immediately pushed the door open, got out, and stood before the Black man. "Alright, let’s duel."
"I’m going to teach you a lesson! You’d better not cry!" the Black man taunted, clenching his fists and bouncing on the spot.
Cry? As if! Su Xuan didn’t even bother using his Tai Chi powers. He simply lashed out with a kick aimed at the man’s chest.
The Black man saw the kick coming, but his body couldn’t react in time. BANG! He was sent flying backward, his back slamming into a roadside billboard. He slid to the ground, legs splayed and head drooping, completely motionless. He was out cold.
Not sparing the man another glance, Su Xuan got in his car and drove away.
"Hmm?"
Before he had driven far, he suddenly saw an "old friend" in the passenger seat.
This "old friend," dressed in red, was smiling at him with her hand covering her mouth. She was breathtakingly beautiful. When she smiled, her lovely eyes curved into crescents, radiating endless charm.
"Did you see what just happened?" Su Xuan asked the woman in red.
That was actually kind of funny. He didn’t know if the woman in red could actually hear him or if she had just guessed what he was saying, but she nodded, marking their first real interaction.
"Who are you? What’s your name?" Su Xuan immediately fired off a series of questions. "Are you a hallucination, or are you real? Are you... still alive?"
The woman in red, however, gave no further response. She simply looked up in a certain direction and raised a delicate hand, pointing the way.
"Do you want me to go there?" Su Xuan asked. "Or do you want to go there?"
The figure in red continued to point. The figure in red helped me the last two times, so maybe she’s helping me again? Su Xuan thought for a moment.
He then drove in that direction. Along the way, whenever he veered off course, the figure in red would correct him, like a human GPS.
After more than an hour, a mountain came into view, and Su Xuan suddenly realized where the woman in red wanted him to go.
Zhuilong Mountain!
She wanted him to go to Zhuilong Mountain! The mountain up ahead was none other than Zhuilong Mountain!
Su Xuan continued to follow the woman’s guidance. Sure enough, the car finally stopped in front of a tunnel at the foot of the mountain. It was the very tunnel his company had dug—the same one where all the strange incidents had been happening.
"What exactly do you want me to do?"
Su Xuan looked toward the passenger seat, only to find the woman in red was gone.
At that moment, a group of people stood in front of the tunnel. Most of them were wearing the work uniforms of Huatian Heavy Industry, a mix of construction workers and engineers. Among them were Zhao Yuansi and Old Zhou.
