"Stop!"
"Please, stop the car!"
A young man stood in the middle of the highway, frantically waving his arms, his face a mask of anxiety. On the shoulder of the road, a plain-looking Passat was parked next to him.
"Su Xuan, you don’t know him, do you? Are we really stopping?" Seeing Su Xuan hit the brakes and begin pulling over to the shoulder, Yang Xinxin couldn’t help but ask.
She was quite annoyed. Just when she was making progress with Su Xuan, someone had to interrupt and spoil things.
Su Xuan ignored Yang Xinxin and parked on the shoulder behind the Passat. For the young man to risk his life flagging down cars on the highway, he had to be in some kind of emergency.
"Bro, you’re a true gentleman! I’ve been trying to flag down a car for ages, but no one would stop. You’re the first!" the young man cried, rushing over. He anxiously explained to Su Xuan, "My car broke down, and I don’t know how to fix it. Can you do me a favor and take my older sister to the hospital?"
"What’s wrong with her?" Su Xuan asked.
"She’s probably going into premature labor! The baby’s coming, and she’s in absolute agony!" the young man exclaimed, his voice growing more desperate as he glanced back at his Passat.
"Get her in the car," Su Xuan said decisively, reaching over to push the passenger door open.
"Okay, okay!" The young man was incredibly grateful, pressing his palms together in thanks. His expression froze, however, when he saw Yang Xinxin in the passenger seat. "But what about your friend?"
"Yeah, Su Xuan!" Yang Xinxin chimed in. "What about me?"
The Koenigsegg was a supercar with only two seats: one for the driver and one for the passenger.
Su Xuan glanced at her. "I’m sure you understand the priorities here."
Yang Xinxin was speechless.
"Sister-in-law, how about this..." the young man ventured, thinking for a moment. "I can call for roadside assistance. They can arrange for a tow truck to pick up my broken-down car and give us both a ride. What do you think?"
The young man had obviously mistaken Yang Xinxin for Su Xuan’s girlfriend or wife, hence addressing her as ’sister-in-law’.
Riding in a tow truck...
Yang Xinxin’s lip twitched.
Going from a supercar worth over a hundred million to a tow truck? She just couldn’t stomach the thought! Still, the young man calling her ’sister-in-law’ made her very happy. It seemed that to outsiders, she and Su Xuan really did look like a couple!
She also knew the situation was critical and that she couldn’t ride in Su Xuan’s car anymore, so she obediently climbed out of the Koenigsegg.
Following that, the young man went to his Passat and helped his heavily pregnant sister out of the car. Seeing the woman’s pained expression and how she struggled to walk, Su Xuan quickly went over to support her.
As he got closer, he realized that the pregnant woman was stunningly beautiful. Even with her large belly, her beauty was astonishing.
"Thank you!" the beautiful woman gasped, enduring the pain as she rushed to thank him. "If it weren’t for your kindness, my baby and I would have surely died here!"
As Su Xuan helped her, she gripped his hand tightly, as if it were a lifeline.
"Don’t worry about it."
Together, Su Xuan and the young man helped the woman into the Koenigsegg.
Once she was settled, Su Xuan returned to the driver’s seat, took a deep breath, and slammed his foot on the accelerator.
ROAR!
The Koenigsegg shot away from the scene.
"My sister is saved! Her baby is saved too!" the young man shouted after the car. "Thank you, you kind, handsome bro!"
He watched the Koenigsegg disappear into the distance and bowed deeply in gratitude. This encounter had changed his entire perception of the rich.
Who said all wealthy people were heartless and selfish? That guy was clearly a warm-hearted person.
"Sister-in-law, you’re very beautiful," the young man said, turning back to Yang Xinxin. "You and that bro are a match made in heaven!"
Truthfully, he was just being polite. If he were to say what he really thought, it was that Yang Xinxin was nowhere near good enough for Su Xuan. Only a top-tier female celebrity might be a worthy match.
"Really?" Yang Xinxin replied, flicking her hair. "I think so too, hehe."
But her mood quickly soured again.
Su Xuan left. He left me here all alone. What a waste of precious time I could have been using to pursue him! It hurts so much!

"Have you booked a hospital?" Su Xuan asked the beautiful pregnant woman as they drove.
"No," she answered, her lips pale, which gave her an ethereal sort of beauty. "My due date isn’t until the latter half of next month. This is over a month early, so I hadn’t arranged a hospital yet."
"Do you have a hospital in mind?" Su Xuan asked.
"No. I was just in my brother’s car trying to call several hospitals, but they’re all at full capacity."
"Do you have money?"
"Money?" The pregnant woman lifted her tear-filled, beautiful eyes, clearly misunderstanding him. "Yes, yes! I can give you however much you want!"
"That’s not what I meant," Su Xuan said, shaking his head. "If you don’t mind the high fees at Kangnai Private Hospital, I can get you in there."
"Kangnai? That would be the best possible place!" A flicker of surprise showed in her eyes. "But I already contacted them, and they turned me away."
"Leave it to me."
Su Xuan accelerated again. The woman’s condition was getting worse. As a major shareholder in Kangnai, arranging this favor for her shouldn’t be a problem.
"Mom!" The woman suddenly answered her phone. It was her mother. Due to her condition, she had the call on speakerphone. "A kind, handsome man has already rescued me! He’s even arranging for me to deliver at Kangnai, so don’t worry."
Su Xuan could hear the entire conversation.
"Kangnai?" The voice on the phone sounded shocked. "Kangnai is a top-tier private hospital! Even important, high-profile figures have to wait in line for an appointment there. Can this so-called kind, handsome man of yours really arrange it on such short notice? You haven’t been scammed, have you?"
"No, I haven’t," the woman said firmly. "He wouldn’t trick me."
"How can you be so sure? Has the pregnancy made you stupid?" the voice on the phone grew louder. "You never should have divorced your husband in the first place! He’s rich and powerful. Even with premature labor, he could have found you a suitable hospital immediately. Getting into Kangnai would have been no problem at all! Why are you putting yourself through all this suffering?"
"Mom, shut up!" the pregnant woman suddenly shouted. "The kind person who saved me is driving a Koenigsegg, a car worth over a hundred million! Do you think he can handle it or not?! And I have him on speakerphone, he heard everything you said!"
The line went silent. A few seconds later, the voice returned.
"Hello, you kind, handsome gentleman who saved my daughter. I sincerely apologize for my rude words just now.
"You saved my daughter, and I will make sure my worthless son-in-law properly thanks you!
"I’m calling him right now to have him wait for you at Kangnai Hospital!"
"That won’t be necessary," Su Xuan said, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. "I help people because I choose to. It has nothing to do with anyone else."
After he spoke, he glanced at the pregnant woman. Taking the hint, she hung up the phone.
"You recognize a Koenigsegg?" Su Xuan then asked.
"I do," the woman said. "I’m a flight attendant. I saw one once when I was flipping through an aviation magazine out of boredom."
"I see," Su Xuan nodded. "So you couldn’t keep flying after you got pregnant? Where are you living now? And how did you end up flagging down cars on the airport expressway?"
Tears suddenly began streaming down the woman’s face. She choked out her story.
"I’ve been living in the flight attendant dorms at the airport, with only my younger brother to keep me company.
"During my pregnancy, my husband was going to clubs and fooling around with other women. I found out by accident and I couldn’t accept it, so I divorced him!
"I didn’t dare go back to my parents’ home, because I was afraid my mom would scold me..."
"Does the child’s father know about your current situation?" Su Xuan asked.
"No, I haven’t told him," she said, her voice filled with resentment. "He doesn’t deserve to have the child in my belly!"
Su Xuan frowned slightly, then said slowly, "Don’t let the child suffer for the mistakes of adults."
The pregnant woman bit her lip, lost in thought.
A few minutes later, her body began to tremble violently. "The baby’s coming out!" she cried. "It won’t stop kicking me!"
"Hold on tight!"
Su Xuan floored the accelerator. The Koenigsegg shot forward like a ground-skimming missile, covering a kilometer in the blink of an eye.
"Control, control, do you copy?"
"There’s a red sports car speeding. Mobilize units to intercept it at the airport expressway city entrance!"
"What? Why don’t I intercept it?"
"He’s going 300% over the speed limit! How could I possibly catch up?!"
Inside a traffic enforcement vehicle, the officer let out a helpless sigh.
