Chapter 430 Where Did My Big Fluffy Go?

A Bite of Hogwarts

Eileen still underestimated the imposing presence of a fully grown Cerberus.

To be precise, it was a Cerberus enhanced by Grindelwald, a true hound of hell.

No matter how much she explained and demonstrated, Hermione and Hannah were adamantly unwilling to try riding the fearsome three-headed beast. Only Luna, with her characteristic boldness, approached and spent some time playfully patting Fluffy's heads.

As for Hermione and Hannah, they wouldn't even consider touching the big dog or even getting within a meter of Fluffy. In fact, as Fluffy's gaze shifted, the two girls even started to slowly back away.

Helpless, Eileen had to temporarily abandon her original plans for fun and games, and took out the special potion provided by Professor Snape, cutting straight to the point. Compared to Luna, Hermione and Hannah still needed to toughen up their courage.

Fortunately, Hermione and Hannah had plenty of time to grow.

After all, even Eileen herself had once been quite afraid of snakes, spiders, toads, and other creatures… until, as time went on, she gradually understood and appreciated their cuteness, and her fear turned into fondness.

Of course, Eileen now had another way to help Hermione and Hannah quickly accept Fluffy.

That was the mature wizarding world version of Aptx4869 – the Shrinking Potion.

It had to be admitted that Professor Snape's mastery of potions was truly trustworthy.

Just as Professor Snape had said that morning, after taking ten drops of the special Shrinking Potion, the mountain-sized three-headed dog Fluffy "poofed" into a tiny three-headed puppy no bigger than an adult's palm, looking adorably confused at the girls in front of him.

The suddenly shrunken Fluffy "splatted" onto the ground, its three pairs of bright black eyes filled with bewilderment, as if it hadn't yet adjusted to the change in scenery and perspective.

"Awoo! Woof! Bark!"

Fluffy shook its head uneasily, letting out a fierce little bark.

But combined with the little guy's憨头憨脑 appearance, no one would think of it as a terrible monster. This was especially evident in the way Hermione and Hannah's eyes instantly lit up.

It was just too cute! After all, kittens and puppies have an irresistible charm for young girls like Hermione and Hannah, and even for adult women, and even most men.

According to Professor Snape, ten drops of the potion were enough to keep it in its puppy state for about a week.

However, that was provided that the three-headed Fluffy didn't actively resist the potion's power, or that its life wasn't directly threatened. After all, Cerberus was a powerful magical creature, let alone the current Fluffy.

If a simple bottle of basic Shrinking Potion (even a specially made one) could completely negate a Cerberus's combat abilities, then it wouldn't be a magical creature of the same danger level as a Sphinx.

A moment later, the shrunken Fluffy gradually came to its senses, wobbled to its feet, and was about to activate its magic to return to its original form when it suddenly felt an extremely dangerous warning message coming from both its side and its mind.

"Woof? Woof? Woof?"

The adorable little Fluffy instinctively turned its head to look at its suddenly towering little master, and clearly read the command in that gentle smile – [This dog, if it dares to disobey and grow bigger, I'll stew it?]

"Woof-woo?"

The puppy Fluffy blinked its eyes, whimpered obediently, and quickly squatted down in place.

Ever since that terrifying old human wizard had linked it to the contract, its life had been in the hands of this silver-haired witch beside it. Over the past few days, it had inadvertently felt Eileen's hunger a countless number of times.

In Fluffy's perception, the sense of danger it felt now was almost the most intense it had ever experienced – second only to when it had accidentally attacked its little master Eileen and had simultaneously faced that old wizard and Eileen.

There was no doubt that if it disobeyed Hagrid, it would at most miss a few meals; but if it disobeyed Eileen, it might accidentally become a meal itself.

A dozen minutes later, next to Hagrid's hut.

"Granger, you've been holding it for so long, it's my turn!"

"Just a minute, it's so cute! Let me hold it for a little longer!"

"By the way, Eileen, what do you think it will eat in the future? Does it eat cookies?"

"We can try, it shouldn't dare not eat them. What I'm not sure about is how much it can eat in one meal…"

"Woof-woo, woof-woo, woof-woo~"

Facing the four suddenly terrifying witches, the miniature puppy had no room to struggle, and could only whimper helplessly, not even having the right to bite people threateningly.

Weak, pitiful, helpless, it could only wait for Hagrid to come back…

The tiny Fluffy gave up resisting, and limply let the girls hug it and rub it, obediently opening its mouth from time to time to eat a few cookies that Hannah had pulled out from who knows where – wait, this feeling, it seems not bad?

You know, in Fluffy's memory, Hagrid had never fed it like this.

It's not that Hagrid treated Fluffy badly, but as a half-giant, Hagrid had his own unique rough way of taking care of animals, much like a sloppy single father taking care of his children.

Most importantly, since Fluffy's size had grown bigger and bigger, Hagrid's intimate interactions with it had become less and less.

Most of the time, it was just a dog silently acting as a guard, either guarding the small wooden door in the castle, or guarding a pile of inedible flowers and plants outside the castle – which was also the main role of Cerberus in the wizarding world these years.

"Eh, what are you doing?"

Just then, a familiar rough voice suddenly came from the direction of the Forbidden Forest.

Eileen and the others turned their heads and saw Hagrid, who was out patrolling, walking quickly towards them, carrying a giant crossbow in one hand and a deer weighing at least several hundred pounds on his shoulder.

Before Eileen could explain, Hagrid saw the three-headed puppy, which was limply sprawled in the girls' arms, shamelessly acting cute and adorable. He looked at the empty vegetable garden, his face filled with shock.

"That… that wouldn't be my Fluffy, would it?!"

Noticing Hagrid appearing on the edge of the Forbidden Forest, the puppy Fluffy raised its chubby little paws and waved them at Hagrid.

"Awoo! Woof! Woo~" (?′`?)

*Thump.*

The dead deer silently slipped from the giant's shoulder and crashed heavily to the ground, raising a small cloud of dust – it was originally Hagrid's intention to hunt it in the Forbidden Forest to give his majestic and handsome three-headed dog Fluffy an extra meal.
