Chapter 37: An Unprecedentedly Big Deal

Diagon Alley.
The streets under the night sky were no longer as bustling as during the day.
Due to the inherent laziness of the British, many shops had already closed, except for places like Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour, which also served as a hotel. Only a few small shops along the street still flickered with candlelight.
Eileen tightened the clothes around her chest to prevent the little stockpile of food from slipping out, and quickened her pace.
"This is not business hours, please come back later."
Beside the gleaming bronze doors of Gringotts, a goblin in a scarlet and gold-trimmed uniform waved his hand, signaling Eileen to leave quickly, clearly mistaking her for a child still playing around.
"I believe Gringotts should still have goblins available to conduct business, right?"
Eileen glanced at the light shining through the crack in the bronze door and walked calmly up the white stone steps to the goblin. The goblin was about a head shorter than her, with a dark face that exuded intelligence and a pointy beard.
"Little girl, this is not a playground. Go home and sleep."
The uniformed goblin frowned, blocking Eileen's path, and spoke impatiently again.
Ding!
"But this Galleon tells me it doesn't want to sleep. What do you think?"
Eileen smiled slightly, took out a Galleon from her small bag, and flicked it into the air with her thumb.
"Go tell Garriwicks and Andisekins that there's a big deal from Hogwarts to discuss with them, and it's yours."
"Ah, of course. You're right, Galleons never sleep."
A smile appeared on the goblin's dark face. He reached out and accurately caught the tumbling gold coin, bowed to Eileen, and stepped aside.
"Please come in, I'll go inform them immediately..."

...

Gringotts, a tastefully decorated VIP room.
Eileen sat in a soft sofa chair with "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" open on her lap. The small owl perched quietly on the girl's shoulder, pretending to sleep.
"I apologize, esteemed Ms. Kaslana, I hope I haven't kept you waiting too long."
The door of the VIP room suddenly burst open, and a goblin strode in with a sharp, slightly hoarse voice. It was Garriwicks, the goblin who had received Dumbledore and Eileen during the day.
"Alright, Eileen Kaslana. Now that everyone is here, can you tell us what this big deal is about?"
Andisekins, who was already sitting in the room, rubbed his fingers anxiously, unable to resist breaking the silence.
If it weren't for the allure of the Galleon and Dumbledore's presence during the day, he would have thought it was just a bad joke.
Snap.
Eileen gently closed the book, placed it aside, and picked up the stockpile of food on her lap, gently stroking its soft feathers.
"During the day, you said that Gringotts could provide loan services similar to those of Muggle banks, correct?"
"Like Muggle banks?"
Andisekins snorted, a look of disdain on his face. "Gringotts has been around far longer than Muggle banks. Even Merlin has traded with us."
He sized up the silver-haired loli in front of him, a look of disappointment on his face. He should have known that an ordinary young wizard couldn't possibly have a big deal. He raised his long, pointed fingers and shook them.
"But I must remind you that Gringotts is not some cheap, dirty black market pawnshop. We only accept high-value collateral. If your intention is just to steal some rare silverware or magical items from home to pawn, you'd better try your luck in Knockturn Alley."
Eileen nodded in satisfaction, ignoring the goblin's contemptuous tone, and continued, "So, if I want to get a loan in some Muggle currency and then exchange it for Galleons or other Muggle currencies, can Gringotts do that?"
"Of course. The Goblin Bank doesn't just have this branch in London. We have a presence in every wizarding country in the world. No matter how much you want, we can find a way to get it for you. But..."
Andisekins grinned, suddenly changing his tone and rubbing his fingers slyly, "Our fees and interest rates are not cheap."
"Honestly, fees and interest rates have never been within my consideration."
Eileen shrugged easily, leaned back on the soft sofa, and scanned the two goblins. "One last question, what is the limit of authority you two have? I told you, this is a big deal."
Garriwicks, who hadn't had a chance to join the conversation since entering the room, patted his chest and said proudly, "Ms. Kaslana, please rest assured, we can handle any deal, no matter how big. Even if Mr. Dumbledore were to mortgage all of his assets, it would be no problem."
"Then, what if I mortgage Hogwarts?"
Eileen smiled slightly and said softly.
"Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry?"
The two goblins exchanged glances, a comical look on their faces, and then burst into a series of sharp laughs.
"Hahahaha, you're quite the joker. But you're right, that's certainly not something we two can decide."
Garriwicks said, shaking his head as he laughed, "Such a big deal would have to be discussed and decided by the Gringotts Goblin Council. Of course, provided you have... have..."
The goblin's words suddenly stopped halfway, as if an old vinyl record had gotten stuck, making a sound like a rooster being strangled.
"Are you talking about this deed to Hogwarts?"
Eileen took out a roll of yellowed, ancient parchment from her chest and slowly unfurled it in front of the two goblins, saying in a relaxed tone, "I told you, this is a big deal."
"But!"
Before the two goblins' eyes could shift from shock to greed, the expression on Eileen's face turned solemn, and she said coldly.
"I suggest you don't try any funny business, otherwise, you will simultaneously anger the two strongest wizards in the magical world today."
As she spoke, the silver-haired loli raised her left hand and clenched her fist tightly.
Three dazzling oath marks suddenly lit up on the girl's delicate back of her hand. Two powerful magical auras quickly spread throughout the VIP room. The dazzling light reflected on Eileen's delicate face, showing a trace of an inviolable Valkyrie.
One of them came from Dumbledore's magical aura, which the two goblins were naturally very familiar with.
As for the other force that was comparable to it or even faintly suppressed it - Garriwicks and Andisekins exchanged glances, and got the answer from the fear in each other's eyes - Grindelwald!
So, everything during the day was just a smokescreen? Garriwicks gasped, his eyes quickly scanning the deed document that flickered with magical marks, and stumbled to push open the door, letting out a piercing scream towards the hall.
"Convene the Council immediately! Kick those old geezers awake! A deal of unprecedented magnitude!"
