Mysterious Journey

Chapter 854 Hermione's Little Trick (Short Chapter!)

Under Hermione's supervision, the freshman team officially kicked off their grueling training regime.

Unlike previous Hogwarts Quidditch teams, in this brand-new team, training for Quidditch did not conflict with completing the teaching assignments given by the professors – or rather, the two were closely related.

Irina, Cho Chang, and others quickly discovered another unique advantage that other teams did not possess.

As Hogwarts' most diligent and intelligent young witch, Hermione Granger could easily answer their difficult questions in their homework, as if they had an extra patient tutor – compared to other students, they spent shockingly little time on homework, and the efficient learning gave them a lot of extra time.

"It would be the stupidest thing in the world to delay studying for the sake of playing Quidditch."

As Hermione said this, she transformed into the most demanding taskmaster, dragging the team members into the common room on time every day.

Hogwarts' courses were not too heavy for the time being, at least compared to elite education in the non-magical world, the students in the lower grades were quite happy at school, and they could spend almost a day on weekends to finish the homework assigned by the professors.

However, in Hermione's view, a whole day was still too long.

If they could concentrate on completing their homework, instead of playing while writing, even the third-year coursework would not take half a day.

When other young wizards were writing their homework with frowning faces while roasting by the warm fire, the freshman team's players had already completed their homework under the guidance of Miss "Know-it-all", and carried their broomsticks to the Quidditch pitch to start training.

Under such high-intensity, long-term concentrated training, the strength of this team improved almost every day.

On the other hand, the weather was getting colder and wetter, and the nights were getting darker.

Hogwarts Castle was about to usher in the coldest time of the year, and the Scottish Highlands began to become rainy and cold.

But no matter how much mud there was, or whether it was windy or rainy, these could not extinguish the increasingly bright and hopeful dreams of this young team: they might actually win in the official game – even if only once.

...

One night in mid-October, Hogwarts Quidditch pitch.

It had just rained, and the field was wet and cold. Hermione, sitting in the stands of the stadium, felt like she was freezing, but she was quite satisfied with the training and condition of everyone today – at least they were much tougher than last year's Ravenclaw team.

When the competition day comes, the weather will only be worse, and adaptability to the environment is also one of the team's strengths.

In the sky, Irina, who looked more and more like a captain, was leading the team in the last round of offensive and defensive conversion training.

As for Luna Lovegood, the Seeker, she had already completed her training mission. As usual, she controlled her broom and landed lightly beside Hermione, waiting for the team members in the sky to finish training before returning to the castle together.

"Speaking of which, I've always been confused."

Luna hugged her somewhat old Cleansweep Seven and suddenly looked at Hermione with curiosity.

"Why have I never seen you do your homework? Does the head coach have special permission not to complete the homework? Or do you have a special way to finish a week's worth of homework in less than a few minutes?"

These days, Hermione spent most of her time urging and tutoring them. If everyone's spare time was more than double that of other young wizards, then Hermione's time seemed as if she had no homework at all.

"How could I not have homework? I would have been put in detention a long time ago –"

Hermione glared at Luna unhappily, turned her eyes back to the team members in the sky, and casually replied.

"Besides, there is no shortcut to finish homework in a few minutes. Maybe I'm a little faster than you, but at most a few minutes faster... I just used the time in class, that's all."

"Time in class?" Luna looked at Hermione in shock, and asked with more and more confusion, "But..."
