Mysterious Journey
Chapter 1064 Gryffindor's Plan
Watching the Weasley twins leave the office, Sirius's joy of bullying the "little ones" vanished.
"This is outrageous!" He clenched his fist, righteously indignant. "They're only fourth years! Next year they'll only be fifth years, 16 years old and already discussing marriage? Arthur Weasley isn't keeping these kids in check. Doesn't he worry about it affecting their O.W.L.s?"
"Uh, I think Mr. Weasley probably knows, after all, engagements require the consent of both parents..."
Professor Lupin said quietly, tidying up the teacups on the desk while watching Sirius fume.
"Face the facts, Padfoot. In terms of life experience, we don't have much to teach them—at best, we can tell them some of our regrets and past mistakes so they don't repeat them. But to be honest, these two little guys have pretty good personalities, luck, and courage."
Their own free nighttime roaming time was much later than that of the twins.
Even with James Potter's Invisibility Cloak, Lupin and the others didn't have it so easy wandering around the school.
However, the Weasley twins were different; they got the "Hogwarts All-Map Cheat" in their first year.
What's even more outrageous is that, due to the defeat in last year's "Potato Campaign," Gryffindor, as the loser, instead used the opportunity to infiltrate Ravenclaw. And George Weasley even took down the Ravenclaw prefect, and even fast-forwarded to an engagement during the holidays. Even Sirius had to admit that he was a little jealous of this heaven-defying luck...
"Moony, we need to bring out some real stuff for this special training!"
Sirius Black slammed his fist into his palm. "Don't let those two little guys laugh at us. Let's think about it—anyway, no one knows our magic level back then. Let's just set it based on N.E.W.T.s—to prevent them from becoming arrogant and complacent..."
"What if they manage to do it?" Lupin turned to look at Sirius.
"Impossible," Sirius said.
He jumped up from the sofa and rushed to the desk to start looking for paper and pen.
Even though he wasted ten years in Azkaban, his magical skills haven't regressed in the slightest.
Because there were no forms of entertainment or social activities, Sirius spent most of his time in Azkaban recalling his school days.
Only by constantly recalling those happy, positive times could he stay awake in the prison surrounded by Dementors—from first grade all the way to seventh grade graduation—the long time was enough for him to break up and chew on all the past years bit by bit.
It just so happened that Professor Dumbledore suddenly mentioned recently, asking him to try to sort out a training plan for the "Order of the Phoenix" when he had time.
Sirius planned to take this opportunity to directly combine the specialities of their four-person group back then, plus some of the areas of expertise of other members of the Order, to concoct a devilish special training so fulfilling that the two little guys would fall asleep as soon as they hit the bed when they got back to the dorm.
……
Meanwhile.
On the other side, Gryffindor common room.
Under the temptation of food, the Weasley twins, who had returned to the common room, effortlessly attracted everyone's attention.
Because they often went in and out of the kitchen to steal food, or carried various prohibited magical items, Fred and George's accomplishments in the Undetectable Extension Charm were even better than most seventh-year graduates; they could easily stuff a lot of things into various pockets and pouches.
The tables and chairs were piled high with mountains of cakes and pies, as well as pots of pumpkin juice and butterbeer.
Cheers and commotion erupted in the common room, whether or not there was a midnight snack directly affected whether the discussion tonight was pleasant.
In this heated atmosphere, even though Percy Weasley knew that George and Fred had run out for a night tour after curfew, he could only give a few symbolic instructions, and then his mouth was stuffed with a lot of pies and sausages from all directions—this was pretty much the usual practice every time.
The Gryffindor little wizards would spontaneously protect the "heroes" who generously gave them their precious midnight snacks.
Of course, this "midnight snack hero" title didn't mean immunity from all harm.
"Why were you gone for so long? Did something happen?"
Angelina Johnson frowned, and while George was distributing food among the crowd, she poked Fred.
Perhaps others didn't notice, but as Fred's girlfriend, she naturally noticed that Fred and George's night tour this time was at least twice as long as usual, and more importantly, her intuition and observation told her that Fred and the others must have encountered something.
"Uh—"
Fred glanced around, leaned into Angelina's ear, and lowered his voice.
"We got caught! On our way back, Professor Lupin and Professor Black joined forces to block us."
"Don't get so close! You—never mind, looking at your expression, it doesn't seem like anything terrible?"
Angelina subconsciously wanted to dodge when her earlobe was suddenly attacked by warm breathing, but after looking at the noisy common room, she could only endure the strange feeling, glared at the innocent-looking Fred, and quickly asked in a low voice, "Then what? Hurry up, don't keep me in suspense!"
"Well, from the surface, we're in detention—"
Fred shrugged, looked at Angelina, who was constantly twisting as if she had puffskein under her butt, and silently praised Bill.
As the oldest brother in the family, Bill didn't know where he got a "Love Manual" since he knew that the two of them were dating, which introduced various techniques in detail. Although the subsequent chapters were temporarily not unlocked, the initial tips were enough for Fred to complete the reversal in times of crisis. As for George's progress, he was almost eaten directly by that older Ravenclaw girl.
"But in reality, we're going to participate in special training before the 'Competition,' starting at nine o'clock every night."
Fred said triumphantly, pointing to the event notice on the common room bulletin board.
"2v2 rumble, if we can directly 1v2 and without any reduction in personnel, then that's 4 points in hand—in this way, in the 1v1 confrontations of the first three grades, Gryffindor only needs to win one to reach match point, and win two to win directly."
The Inter-House Competition adopted an integrated score system of three confrontations, two rumbles, and one team match.
And the calculation method of the score is: each win in the confrontation is counted as 1 point, the rumble is 4 points minus the "number of knockdowns" on both sides, and the team match is much simpler, the winning party directly gets 5 points, if the final score is the same, both sides will send one person each for the final 1v1 showdown.
Because of this, in theory, the rumble can be said to be the round with the most "operable space."
"...Every night?" Angelina repeated, seeming a little worried.
"Don't worry, I'll spend more time with you during the day, don't worry—"
Fred shamelessly pleased, although Angelina was usually a bit strong, she was, after all, a girl who had just fallen in love.
"And I guess it'll only be an hour or two at most every day, and it just so happens that there are fewer people in the common room at night. If you want, we can also sneak out on a date, anyway, with Professor Black covering us, as long as we stagger Filch's shift time, we have plenty of dating time every day."
"Who, who wants to go on a date with you every day! Move over, move over—"
Looking at the face that was getting closer and closer, Angelina felt her earlobes completely red, and stepped on Fred hard.
"I'm just a little worried about Quidditch training, after all, there's a game on Saturday—if this is the case, our Quidditch training chaser will be absent this week, and we have to play against Hufflepuff on Saturday, we have to find a way to block Hannah..."
"Don't worry about this, I heard Wood say that in Saturday's game—the head coach Miss will play."
Fred said, glancing at Elena, who was quietly talking in the corner of the common room, and lowered his voice slightly.
"Hufflepuff is one of the hot favorites to win this year. If they can lose two games in a row to the lower half of the competition, then they will most likely compete with the 'All-Star Team' for the final ticket. Then we, holding two wins, can choose an easy target between the 'Freshmen Team' and 'Slytherin'—this will allow us to grasp the initiative to change the schedule at any time, so as to disrupt the preparations of other teams."
In view of the fact that a certain white-haired witch's performance on the Quidditch field was too outrageous, Elena was restricted from participating in school competitions starting this year.
In addition to the usual sparring time, she only has one opportunity to appear on the Quidditch field as a player.
In the expected assumptions of most teams, the Gryffindor team will most likely choose to use Elena to decide the game in the life-and-death battle, or in the late stage of the knockout round. However, Oliver Wood, as a Quidditch expert, obviously has other ideas.
You know, strictly speaking, Elena only has about a quarter of the "Gryffindor bloodline" in her body.
If you face other Quidditch teams in the key rounds, except for the Freshmen Team and the All-Star Team, whether it is Slytherin or Hufflepuff, the college public opinion and atmosphere on both sides is still a big problem—especially the Hufflepuff team. If you look at the weekly bedroom distribution, Elena is obviously more inclined to Hufflepuff. If you meet in the semi-finals or finals, it will undoubtedly be a very cruel choice.
In comparison, there are not so many concerns when meeting during the regular season.
The most important thing is that in the last round of the competition, Hufflepuff lost to the Freshmen Team in an upset.
"Well, so we might as well just let Hufflepuff enter the loser's bracket, right?"
Before Fred could continue to explain more, Angelina quickly understood the general strategy of Oliver Wood.
"In this way, in the playoffs, they may have to fight all the way from the bottom—no matter what the outcome, at least it can help us wear down the state of other teams, and we have plenty of time to rest, which is a good idea."
"Then, now there's only one thing left..."
Angelina glanced at Fred, picked up a sausage pie from the side of the chair and fed it to his mouth.
"In the weekend's competition, if you and George can win 1v2, then next time you go to Hogsmeade Village, I'll accompany you the whole time, whether it's going on a date at Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop, or shopping at Zonko's Joke Shop—I'll treat you to everything..."
A few minutes later, the noisy lounge gradually quieted down, and the Gryffindor competition roster was officially determined.
Single Confrontation: Ginny Weasley, Harry Potter, Cormac McLaggen
Double Rumble: George Weasley, Fred Weasley; Oriana Refik, Fiona Laurent
Team Match: Bill Weasley, Charlie Weasley, Percy Weasley, Oliver Wood, Malcolm Greaves
As the competition list for Hogwarts' first "Inter-House Competition," this lineup, in addition to the high "Weasley content," is almost the highest combat power of Gryffindor at all grades—many people even ambitiously want to shut out Slytherin College.
Meanwhile, Slytherin College.
"Hey, Aphelios, Twisted Fate, the organization's reply has arrived—"
Gerald Howard shook the envelope in his hand, revealing a meaningful smile.
"In competitive sports competitions, there is no superior-subordinate relationship, deliberately giving water is an insult to the opponent—we can let go in the team match, and senior members will pay attention to the competition situation as part of our practical assessment for becoming full members."
In the Foundation, there are not many opportunities like this to openly beat up a direct boss.
Not to mention, the stingy, troublesome supervisor from Gringotts.
