Mysterious Journey
Chapter 1054: A New Transfiguration World (Part 1)
Since experiencing that "Tabby Cat Inspection Ceremony" last year, she had never again squatted on the desk in her Animagus form to wait for students to enter the Transfiguration classroom—at least not in Eileen's class. Minerva McGonagall would definitely not fall in the same place twice.
At the same time, on the other hand, she had to race against time to familiarize herself with the operating methods of that "magical teaching aid."
During the "product presentation" given by Albus Dumbledore and Nicolas Flamel last weekend, the "Hogwarts Personal Terminal" that had just been distributed to the students was not only for assigning homework and issuing tasks. Its role in teaching was the focus of the professors' attention.
In fact, in addition to the students and the two ghost professors, all formal professors had received a similar magic book.
Compared to the colorful "student version," the functional settings of the "Hogwarts Personal Terminal - Professor Version" held by Minerva McGonagall and others were obviously much simpler. After removing a series of functional modules such as tasks, achievements, entertainment, and life..., the magic booklet in the professors' hands was more like a magic version of lesson plans connected to the "local area network" of the classroom.
Of course, with the exception of a few professors, most professors did not immediately research and use this.
As senior teachers who had taught at Hogwarts for decades, they still preferred to teach according to their original teaching methods.
However, Minerva McGonagall was clearly not in the ranks of the "old guard"—as the Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts, she had to set an example in trying and familiarizing herself with these new teaching tools. Regardless of the outcome, her evaluation and user experience were essential.
And this meant that she had to enter some lesson plan content before each class so that it could be displayed and used in class.
When Eileen and her party entered the Transfiguration classroom, they happened to see Professor McGonagall put down her wand and close her "Transfiguration Professor Exclusive" magic guide book. Several snuffboxes, buttons, and music boxes were twisted and deformed, and finally unified into a pile of stones.
At the same time, the "personal terminals" in each of their bags vibrated lightly in unison.
"Good morning," Professor McGonagall raised her head and smiled at the wizards entering the classroom. "Before class starts, you'd better take the time to check your terminals to see if you've received the courseware for this class—music box model perspective, style reference."
"Terminal? Music box model?" Harry asked, puzzled.
Professor McGonagall pointed to the notebook beside her.
"So beautiful!"
Lavender Brown took out her "personal terminal," opened it, and exclaimed subconsciously.
The word "beautiful" perfectly summarized the scene that the wizards saw after clicking on the "Transfiguration Class" section.
A translucent azure shadow floated above the pages, slowly rotating from left to right, with each part and component clearly visible. On the pages below the structural shadow diagram, two brightly colored music box patterns appeared one after another, looking quite dreamy.
On the other side of the opened pages, detailed numerical parameters, structural disassembly steps... were all listed.
"This is today's practice content," Professor McGonagall pursed her lips slightly and said with some pride, "Our goal is to turn pebbles into such music boxes! As for the style and deformation model, you can first refer to the content I provide."
"Wow, the light and shadow of this music box are so beautiful, it's exactly like the real thing!"
A naive and lovely voice said.
Eileen carefully looked at the magical shadow synchronized to her personal terminal, raising her eyebrows with a playful expression.
This was clearly an imitation application of the "Binary Reversion Architecture Transformation Magic" she developed, and if she remembered correctly, at some point last year, Professor McGonagall had righteously stated that there were no shortcuts in Transfiguration learning, and illusionary transformations did not count as transformations.
Professor McGonagall's expression stiffened slightly, clearly recognizing the exaggeration in Eileen's words.
"I mean, apart from ordinary Transfiguration, can we learn this magic?" Eileen said, "This is also Transfiguration, right?"
Professor McGonagall gave Eileen a deep look, not answering immediately.
After thinking for a few seconds, she smiled and shook her head, answering calmly.
"Conceptual transformation after light and shadow replacement, this of course counts as a branch of Transfiguration. As for the previous question, I think, you shouldn't need to ask me, Miss Kaslana? After all, this is a simple application based on the 'Binary Reversion Architecture Transformation Magic' you created."
"Of course, we won't be touching on this part in this class for the time being, but if possible—"
Professor McGonagall shrugged and said generously, "Perhaps in the higher-grade classes, I will talk about some concepts of light and shadow transformation, but there are still some unclear areas in the preparation of the lesson plans, and I may have to trouble you to help supplement it at that time—after this class is over, we can chat separately according to your schedule—the able are teachers, you have more say in this regard."
"Um, actually... it's okay. I'm actually just messing around myself, there's no methodology."
Eileen touched her nose and muttered somewhat uncomfortably.
Eileen never expected that the elderly cat lady would frankly admit her credit and take the initiative to lower her posture to show goodwill.
Speaking of which, apart from the initial fish snatching and abduction incident, Professor McGonagall had not deliberately targeted her in subsequent campus life.
Not continuing to pursue this question, Eileen walked to her seat, took out her textbook and personal terminal, solemnly opened the "Transfiguration" small box, pretending not to see the surprised and admiring gazes of the students around her, and muttered to herself in a low voice.
"Hmm—today we're learning music box transformation, I'll preview the model first—"
As expected—
Looking at the expression on Eileen's face, a smile flashed in Minerva McGonagall's eyes.
Just as Professor Dumbledore said, this was a quirky little girl who didn't respond to being forced.
If Eileen focused her mind on studying and didn't think about those troublesome "prank plans," she might be the most liked student by professors among all the Hogwarts students over the years. After all, very few students could help professors reduce the teaching burden as much as she did.
As for accidents during the learning process, Minerva McGonagall wasn't too worried...
As long as Eileen didn't try "True Alchemy," then basic Transfiguration could be said to be one of the safest spell classes.
"Boom! Boom!"
About twenty minutes later, there were two loud bangs in the classroom.
As if someone had cast a Hurricane Charm, a violent air current swept through the entire Transfiguration classroom.
Professor McGonagall suddenly raised her head and looked at the position at the center of the sound and air current.
"Eileen!"
