“While father is not here, this does involve our family. And so these flags are proof that this is an official meeting.”
“So this is much bigger than I imagined.”

Alfred then made us sit in the fancy chairs behind the work desk.
I was on the right, and Claire on the left.

In fact, she seemed almost more calm than usual.

Close to the entrance to the right, Keith, Ms. Jane and the other servants would sit.
And to the far back sat Milina. That would be where the people related to medicine and management would be seated.
The center area was for the people who would work in the fields. Mr. Peter would sit there.
“Now, let’s call them in. We do not want to keep them waiting too long.”

“They must be quite nervous. Mr. Takumi, are you ready?”
“Yes, thank you.”
The servant near the door nodded and then went out in order to call them.
A moment later, I could hear the footsteps of many people.
“Excuse me. I have brought the people who are to be hired for the herb fields.”
“…Why-why are we in the front? I just came to say hello…”
“Perhaps it shows how much they expect from us? Now, keep walking.”
Ms. Delia, Mr. Kanat and Mr. Peter entered first.
Ms. Delia was not wearing her hat, and her tail was sticking out. As it was pointing straight up, she must be nervous.
And Mr. Kanat and Mr. Peter were arguing in hushed voices.
After that, the others entered.
Some of them looked quite surprised when they saw Claire and the flags.
I see… We had come in first so that we could see their reactions as they came in.
Sebastian seemed to be enjoying it as well. Perhaps it was a good way of seeing what kind of people they were.
The nervous atmosphere reminded me of a job interview… Which seemed ridiculous, since the matter had already been decided.
