I told them to take it easy

“That’s right, Mr. Galgrio and Ms. Lianea. I had been thinking about having you work with concocting medicine… But if you are able to now, how about working in the fields?”

“Of course! If it will help you, I, Galgrio, will do what I can as long as I can move!”

“As will I… It will be my pleasure…sniff…”

And so I had secured two workers for the herb fields.

However, I did not think that they owed me a debt, and did not want them to work too hard.

“Well, now that that is settled… As you all just witnessed, the Gift can easily create medicinal herbs. You will be given more details later. But for now, just rest assured that there should be no problems with quality and quantity.”

I continued to address the room after the two had calmed down and returned to their seats.

“…Indeed. If you can make it so easily… Can you also make other types of plants?”

“Yes. Well, there are some restrictions and things I can’t make… But I can make most medicinal herbs.”

“But if that is the case, then why do you need us? You can just do everything by yourself…”

“Yes, one might think that. However, I can only do so much. Besides, it is not as if I can make an infinite amount of herbs.”

I would faint if I used it too much. And if I wanted to increase the herbs I made with the Gift, then I would need lots of help.

However, I kept the details vague, as we would talk about that later.

At this point, the nervous atmosphere was completely gone. And the people seemed to trust me after seeing the Gift.

Now, there was just one thing I wanted to say to them.

“Uh, everyone. I am relieved to see that you are enthusiastic.”

“After seeing something so amazing, and considering the duke’s involvement, it is only natural, Mr. Takumi.”

“Haha. I suppose so, Mr. Peter. But now, I have one request.”

“Oh?”

Everyone nodded then.

“Please do not work more than you are able. The pay may seem high relative to the number of workdays, but think of it as a bonus for your silence in regards to the Gift. If you ever feel ill, you must rest at once. I do not want anyone to work when they shouldn’t. Especially you two, Mr. Galgrio and Ms. Lianea.”

“Ye-yes!”

“I…understand…”

I had singled them out, since they were looking at me with such bright eyes filled with admiration. That I had a feeling they would overwork themselves.

And after my experience with working in Japan, I did not want that for anyone here.

They should not work for the sake of working. Especially to the point where it hurts you mentally and physically.

Thankfully, the Gift made things easy for me. And I had the help of Claire and the others. So we would never be in a desperate situation.

My goal was for us all to drink tea and be able to relax…while slowly increasing the amount of herbs that could be distributed…to help people.

Well, that was just my wish. And maybe it was asking for too much. As long as I could live leisurely with Leo, Liza and Claire…and the servants, I would be fine.

“But I thought you were going to tell us to work as if our lives depended on it.”

“Mr. Takumi would never say such a thing, old Peter. He is kind.”

“I suppose… He came to the village with some guards, but never gave orders…”

After I had said what I wanted to, the meeting came to a temporary close.

I also told them that Walter would be going to Range village, but not work in the fields. Also, I introduced Mr. Kanat to Claire.

And so the people from Bleiyu village left with a relaxed atmosphere… Though, the others left looking more nervous.

This was because after a break, they would be meeting with Leo.
