“But it means that the challenge for the civilization ahead will be great too.” Ghylea said the counterpart of the event.
“But it is worth it. Strengthening the civilization as a whole without sacrificing the individual need is truly the best part of this. Whatever challenge they have, I have faith in them that they can overcome it.” Dian replied with confidence.
He had seen the response of civilization when it was under threat. They were relentless in their pursuit of creating a better future, not only for themselves but also for others.
The other four felt that confidence and realized that they should trust the process of the civilization growing at their own pace.
But the Planet Spirit was the one who watched Tatsumi with fervent interest. It was because of him giving a part of his existence that the Planet Spirit could be formed in the first place.
Now, she wanted to know more about the Second Star Child and whatever he did, just below the activity of the Planet Master himself.
After that, the Planet Spirit saw the indescribable scene she knew to be the intimate action. It was something needed for the purpose of creating a new life which the Planet Spirit understood but she did not expect that it was actually quite intense.
The enchanting sound from there was something the Planet Spirit had expected.
Time passed once again with more technologies uncovered from the miniature spaceship as well as the Scientific Inheritance from the core of the meteor, while the transcendents becoming stronger were not just a saying but a thing done.
Year Seventy-One of the Father God Calendar.
The Undead Secret Realm had grown following the expansion of the planet and progress was made. It could accommodate more Undead Race but a problem arose. They were lacking the method of multiplying their numbers.
Apart from the death of the Glings and Elves in the previous Star Battle, the way to increase the number of the undead was to let a corpse saturated with the undead element but who would send their corpses to the Undead Secret Realm?
It was mostly the transcendents who had the Necromancer’s Trait who, at the end of their life, wanted his or her body to be there to be the warriors who safeguarded the civilization. They willingly gave their vessel, their body to the undead race for them to protect their progeny.
But it was not popular in the civilization at large since it could be seen as a desecration of the dead.
Even that was still an issue to the point that the debate would reach the necessary tension for conflict. But for transcendents, they wanted to contribute no matter how small to the civilization and they were the very first batch to be used as the first one to formally be entombed in the Undead Secret Realm.
Zhask was glad that he could see that despite the restriction of movement from the civilization, he still could see the spirit of self-sacrifice from the superior race and that made him happy.
No matter what, he did not want to be seen as an anomaly in life who stole the corpses of the living. That stigma was delivered from the Death Sovereign to his race and that was a painful reminder.
“Well, it is just a physical body. It may be tied to our existence when we lived but when we are dead, we are not tied to the physical body. As long as you use it to safeguard our civilization, I am willing to offer it to you, Undead Race!” That statement from the transcendents caused Zhask to make a vow not to disappoint those who put their trust in him.
“I understand. I will make sure that the newly born undead learn about the physical body they inhabit.” Zhask solemnly replied with a flicker of his undead fire.
Then the next issue for the Undead Secret Realm was the undead element tide which happened every five years.
It caused the Undead Race to gather at the Necropolis which caused a big commotion. Zhask had to calm the commotion by expanding the Necropolis since the size of the Undead Secret Realm had also increased.
“Please gather at the established place!” the Undead under Zhask announced things in their own frequency so that the rest of the newborn and veteran undead could gather in the clearing so that they could make their own building for their stay.
Furthermore, the huge walls of the Necropolis were modified and moved so that they could encircle a larger place in the center of the Undead Secret Realm.
This caused the civilization outside to realize, especially the Thebes Independence Kingdom and they also sent their available transcendent to help reposition and rebuild the walls and the residence of the undead.
The progress took six months to complete due to the sheer number of the undead migrating to the Necropolis.
Why were the undead avoiding the Undead Element Tide? It was because the undead element in the tide was too unstable even for the undead. It would even be dangerous for the newborn undead since they did not have much strength in their undead fire.
Undead Fire was the proof of their life, the core of their existence. It was different than the core that they had formed following the human transcendent which was a core for their transcendent energy.
“The Undead Secret Realm faced some issues following the expansion but it looks like everyone solved it together. At least there would be no issue for the following years.” Ghylea commented.
“Fortunately, it is also an important place not only for the Undead Race but also for the planet as well. I think that even the civilization realized its strategic importance.” Dian added.
The Planet Master was not tired of looking at the races working on the planet that they oversee. Even time would not corrode their passion for the development of his race, he even expected them to develop more as the Technology and Transcendent Tree were started to be filled up with numerous discoveries, strengthening the foundation and could even accommodate other races’ Transcendent and Technology capabilities.
Year Seventy-Two of the Father God Calendar.
There were many satellites in orbit, which caused the development of mapping the entire planet to go smoothly. They finally had the most accurate map of the Cerulean Planet since they needed to map the entire region and pieced it together to form a complete picture of the surface of the planet.
The navigation satellites were also in use and caused the people below to be able to know their position due to the Global Positioning System, introducing a new way of knowing one’s position on the planet. It was actually already commercialized for the people so that they could know their current position as long as they were connected to the satellites.
Communication was also done with numerous satellites in orbit relaying their transmission to the surface, to the antennae that became the receiver.
The technology used was also actually quite miniaturized so that people could do it with a grab of their hand. Although to some, it was something that needed to be improved but to the populace, it was something groundbreaking and revolutionized the way they went to places.
Those facilities caused the people to enjoy more of their lives.
But there were some satellites equipped with sensors that reacted to the transcendent energy orbiting the Cerulean Planet. Their task was to monitor the activity of the wilderness and potentially track the transcendent on the planet.
The satellites received the signature of the transcendent energy and then relayed it to the receiving station, where the picture was processed and then formed a certain place where the saturation of the transcendent energy was so concentrated.
“Report! There are no anomalies in the picture sent by the satellites in the forbidden territories!” one man reported the results of the picture to the Cerulean Defense Force before ending the communication channel.
As for the higher-ups of the Cerulean Defense Force, they were glad that the Sovereign Beasts and the Thearch Nymphs were not reacting much to the incursion into their territory.
“So much has changed since the thing at the Undead Pool disappeared. But this is what the Father God wanted, so all we can do is to minimize the casualties. Only the appropriate transcendents could venture deeper into the wilderness! Relay that order to everyone!”
General Wazowski relayed the formal order and spread it further into the civilization.
The words became a law that everyone must obey. Previously, it had been an unwritten rule for the strong transcendents to be able to explore the wilderness, but now it had become overt.
Worse, the sea route connecting the Comberth Continent and Heavensend Continent was threatened by the huge sea beasts as well as Kleos. The ships that sailed also needed strong transcendents to fare into the Ceres Ocean.
Otherwise, they would be drowned and sunken just by the threat of the sea beasts swimming in its wake.
The civilization could not concede in this regard so they also started to cultivate transcendent which used Ether as the energy source properly.
Fortunately, they had prepared for this eventuality a few years ago so some results could be seen. But they also needed to nurture a peak powerhouse transcendent to make sure that their interest would not be touched by others.
But a new conflict arose as those transcendents were new and regarded themselves as superior. This problem was already existing but now the scale got bigger and needed treatment.
Otherwise, they would be ruled based on strength alone which was not what most wanted. There was a movement from the transcendent that was interrupted by a single person.
Most of the transcendents did not know the perpetrator but they were sure that the individual was acting for the sake of fellow transcendents. They realized that if this conflict spread even further, then there would be a barrier separating them from ordinary people.
The kind that could not be bridged no matter what.
They were reminded that those transcendents were once ordinary, too; only after gaining transcendent energy with sufficient talent did they rise.
Of course, Dian and the other four knew who the perpetrator was since they could gain information about the entire planet quite easily.
Thanks to the Planet Spirit managing things and overseeing it on behalf of the Planet Master, she could quickly deduce things through causality.
“That one is actually a natural thing to happen.” Dian sighed as he knew that this was going to happen when he incorporated the Transcendent Tree into his system.
“There can be no cure for this.” Frie said with a heavy expression.
“What else can we do? The truth is that the transcendent indeed is different from ordinary people. This cannot change, no matter what.” Leif stated with difficulty.
“Even as a Planet Master, this is a natural thing to happen. Separation of superpower.” Chikara said.
“For it to happen at this point in time is actually a surprising result. I thought it was going to happen sooner.” Ghylea commented that the result came a bit late but was inevitable.
“It is inevitable. But I want them to know that their origin was not powerful, they were once born weak and I am giving them time to consider this factor. Otherwise, the civilization would collapse just from this, creating something like the dark forest where everyone is wary of each other, devolving into the uncivilized people.” Dian said while trusting that the information was relayed to the civilization.
He had hoped that it would stick in the back of their mind and could at least reconsider their wild thoughts.
“But things can go another way.” Frie said.
“True but we need to trust them since I gave them a powerful effect with the Auxiliary Ability Card. I believe that they can see that. Or they can be divided and cause another chaos.” Dian said lightly as if it were not an important matter.
“I will see that they will not become the majority.” Leif said resolutely.
“I will also help.” Ghylea said.
“Good that you intervened. As always, be subtle about it.” Dian commented before giving them hints.
As for Frie and Chikara, their races already had a set of rules of their own so Dian was not worried. But for his race, it was a sensitive time to decide their ideology regarding the population that was majority weaker than the transcendents.
Would they cooperate with them or reshuffle the government structure with their power?
Leif and Ghylea acted to make sure that their race’s viewpoint was relayed to the human race. They were caring towards those who were weaker than themselves because the weak became the potential source of strong transcendents appearing in the future.
With this as the basis, the human race reconsidered the thought about the difference between transcendents and their ordinary counterpart.
At the end of the day, they realized that those who were once weak could become stronger and should not be underestimated. Everyone was a part of a civilization and had their own role in it. This was thanks to the information being relayed through television, radio and newspaper.
Additionally, the connection between the living and the dead whispered a thought into the people. It told them that they would not remain weak or strong forever, causing an understanding to appear.
Due to this action, it was revealed that there was an underground movement that was exposed by Long Wu during his tracking of the enemy.
It was thoroughly destroyed but Dian knew that the seed had already been planted and would never disappear. But at least, there would be no trouble brewing for a period of time.
The flow of time regarded every single living being as nothing more than part of its environment and became a mystery whose workings were obscured. Until one achieved some sort of mastery over reality, no one would be able to wield the power of space, much less time.
Transcendent was actually a process of transcending the limitations of an ordinary being for the current races. But Dian knew that the higher transcendent regarded their power as a limitation to grasp reality into their own hands, which was why they transcended another limitation.
But that was far into the future and the current situation on the surface of the planet stabilized. Although many people would remember that there was a revolution in the way they thought and new political correctness was stamped into the minds of many.
When the matter of the mindset was done, Dian looked beyond his Planet Master’s space, looking beyond the planet and the Red Moon toward the violet sun.
That star called the violet sun was already there when Dian came to be conscious around him. He estimated that the violet star was already in its infancy.
Around the star were several large celestial bodies that could be called planets orbiting it. Dian knew that sooner or later, his race would go to those planets to increase their influence as well as gather more resources from those planets.
If I become a Third Rank Planet Master, the civilization would probably be able to utilize the violet star for energy gathering. With the boost from the items that Tritis had sent as well as the miniature spaceship being reverse-engineered, it will be possible to reach T3 in the Technology Tree category.
When that happens, it will not be just a singular planet management but multiple planet management. I think I need more entities to help me.
Dian paused his thought as he considered something in his mind.
Right, one thing is strange. Every Planet Master that I have faced is strangely attached to their races. What kind of arrangement is this?
This pattern was easily recognizable by Dian. He found that this was an issue if this was some sort of arrangement from someone.
But if it is not, then the coincidence is too much to be missed. Three times means that it is not really a coincidence but who is responsible?
Dian stopped his thinking there. He was afraid that his intent would be recognized by the Planet Master System or the Universe Council behind it so he closed his eyes and sighed ruefully.
Whatever the case, I need to climb up the ranks. Should I decrease the time needed for the civilization to rest and increase their might before launching another Star Battle?
Dian had considered this after exchanging the Heart of Nature for the miniaturized spaceship. He knew that increasing his race’s mastery over Technology and Transcendent Tree was important but he felt that the Star Battle became the stepping stone for humanity and its Acquired Race to be able to showcase their greatest change.
“No, although they are developing new technology but it is not spread to all aspects of civilization. Looks like some time is needed to get used to what has become available for the people.”
Dian had to consider many things before he acted. Furthermore, doing things hastily led to an unfavorable outcome so he’d rather be slow but accurate in judgment.
Then he needed to delve deeper into the information on the Forum. That was the source of information that he had access to and he needed to take advantage that he had become a Second Rank Planet Master more.
So far, he had read about 15% of the available information for the Second Rank Planet Master. Time was also needed on his side to digest and process that information. The problem was the speed of understanding of a Planet Master was akin to a supercomputer that could perform numerous calculations at once at high speed.
Meaning that the information available was so large that Dian had a problem digesting it. After all the important issues were addressed, it was time for him to seclude himself in the Forum and let the flow of time pass.
