Chapter 327: Choosing a Wedding Dress for Mommy

Chapter 327: Chapter 327: Choosing a Wedding Dress for Mommy

He Sirui tried to save face, "I don’t have any objections to what the President said, we will follow his instructions." Even though she hadn’t really understood what he was saying.

Gu Yikun closed the file, "That’s good."

He Sirui understood President Gu was dismissing her, so she said, "I’ll head back now. See you in Saint Petersburg at the beginning of next month."

An Junxi frowned secretly. Are they going on a business trip together?

She didn’t show anything, stood up to symbolically see He Sirui off.

He Sirui politely declined being escorted out, so An Junxi really sat back down, "Miss He, take care."

He Sirui froze, then forced a smile and bid them farewell.

An Junxi noticed that He Sirui could barely walk steadily in her high heels.

She made a face at He Sirui’s retreating figure.

Gu Yikun saw her behaving mischievously like a child. Sitting on the desk, he voluntarily explained, "We were just having a meeting."

An Junxi turned her chair halfway, about to leave. Gu Yikun pulled her back into his arms, "Are you angry?"

An Junxi didn’t look at him, "I wouldn’t dare to be angry with President Gu."

Gu Yikun lifted her up and placed her on the sofa. An Junxi resisted, "Don’t wrinkle my dress."

Gu Yikun’s mouth twitched. He tightened his grip on her, "Am I less important than a dress?"

An Junxi deliberately teased him, "Of course, the dress is much more important than you."

Gu Yikun punished her by unzipping her dress. An Junxi surrendered, "Don’t mess around in the office!"

Gu Yikun laughed roguishly, "It’s fine. Shall we try the office sofa or the new bed in the lounge? Your choice."

An Junxi pinched his arm, "In broad daylight, how could you!"

Gu Yikun saw his little wife blushing; he felt a sense of accomplishment. With two quick moves, he unfastened An Junxi’s bra.

An Junxi felt the absence of support on her chest; she crossed her arms over her chest and obediently surrendered, "Honey, not here..."

She was genuinely scared that someone might burst in, and she’d be utterly embarrassed!

An Junxi was on the verge of tears. Gu Yikun couldn’t bear to make his little wife suffer, so he helped her tidy her clothes, taking the opportunity to smooth his hand over her silky skin for some psychological satisfaction.

An Junxi didn’t dare provoke his anger anymore, nor did she dare mention wrinkling her dress again. Nestling in his arms, she asked, "Are you really going on a business trip together? Who else is going?"

Gu Yikun replied, "Secretary Wang is also going. We’re taking our private jet."

An Junxi asked for clarification, "When you say ’we’, you mean...?"

Gu Yikun lifted her chin, "I know you are worried, so I’ve reserved a spot for you. You can supervise me anytime."

An Junxi indeed wanted that, though she was reluctant to admit it, "Who says I’m worried? I’m not that unreasonable. You’re on a business trip, and if I go too, people might think President Gu is henpecked. That’s embarrassing!"

Gu Yikun nonchalantly said, "I wouldn’t be embarrassed. Do you really not want to go?"

An Junxi was afraid Gu Yikun might actually forbid her from going. She pretended to be reluctant, "Since you want me to go, I’ll go then." She wouldn’t let He Sirui have it so easy.

Gu Yikun smirked, "Very grateful to Mrs. Gu for gracing me with your company on the business trip."

An Junxi suddenly thought, "How many days will it be? We can’t be away from the kids for too long." Ai Xi would definitely cry if she didn’t see them for several days.

"It’ll be quick, about five days. We can video call the kids while we’re away."

An Junxi had never been to Saint Petersburg. She checked the city’s geography and culture on her tablet, "Great! I wanted to visit Russia after going to Argentina last time. It must be beautiful in winter."

Gu Yikun said, "I’ll be busy with work, so I might neglect you. You..."

"Secretary Wang can keep me company."

Gu Yikun bent down to kiss her, "If I don’t have time for you, you better not get angry."

An Junxi pouted, "Do you think I’m that petty?"

"Of course not, Mrs. Gu is the most understanding."

An Junxi took some time to accompany her senior sister to try on wedding dresses. Gu Jin Xiu insisted on tagging along, so An Junxi brought him, "Behave yourself when you’re there."

"I will, I promise!"

Uncle Cheng drove them to the wedding dress town, where Gong Xiaoyu was waiting at the entrance.

"Sister Xiao Yu," Gu Jin Xiu greeted Gong Xiaoyu, "we came from Gu’s Headquarters. Uncle Yu Zheng said he is busy today, please don’t be mad."

Gong Xiaoyu patted Gu Jin Xiu on the head, "I won’t be mad. I know he’s busy."

They walked into the store. An Junxi noticed her senior sister was disinterested. She asked, "Sister, are you really forcing yourself?"

Yue Xiaoyang had been silent while in the United States. Even though her senior sister was about to marry someone else, he still acted indifferent.

Does he even know that she’s getting married?

Gong Xiaoyu was indeed forcing herself.

She had thought about backing out of this marriage several times, but Yu Zheng was just too good to her, leaving her unable to refuse.

She convinced herself. Yue Xiaoyang was in the past. Now that someone good was by her side, she should cherish it.

Yu Zheng owed her nothing. She couldn’t accept his kindness without a sense of guilt and felt she should reciprocate his feelings.

She admitted, "Jun Xi, I just can’t get enthusiastic. I act happy in front of Yu Zheng, but only I know how I really feel."

An Junxi comforted her, "Sister, I believe Yu Zheng will be very good to you."

Gu Jin Xiu, unaware of their conversation, explored the store a bit. He asked An Junxi, "Mommy, why didn’t you wear a wedding dress when you married Daddy?"

The mention of this irritated An Junxi, "Go ask your daddy why he didn’t let me wear a wedding dress."

They had gotten their marriage license two years ago but still hadn’t had a wedding ceremony. What was Gu Yikun planning?

Did he think that once he had her, he didn’t need to put in the effort to create romance anymore?

Gu Jin Xiu said, "Sister Xiao Yu gets to wear a wedding dress, Mommy should wear one too. I’ll help you pick one."

He earnestly began selecting wedding dresses for An Junxi, while An Junxi helped her senior sister pick one.

Gong Xiaoyu tried on several dresses and quickly decided on one, "This one will do. I don’t want to look anymore, I’m tired."

The store staff rarely saw brides-to-be treating wedding dresses so casually. They took her measurements for a custom fit, "It’ll be ready in about ten days. Miss, please leave your number. We’ll notify you when it’s ready, or we can mail it to you."

Gong Xiaoyu left her number.

An Junxi and Gong Xiaoyu sat in the store for a while, waiting for Yu Zheng to come pick her up.

Gu Jin Xiu used An Junxi’s phone to take lots of photos and sent them to his daddy. He asked, "Daddy, Mommy says the wedding dress is beautiful. Why didn’t you buy one for her?"

Gu Yikun received the photos, thinking they were from An Junxi. He was about to reply when he saw Jin Xiu’s question and responded with two words: I’m busy.

Gu Jin Xiu was very unhappy. Marriage was a big deal. Daddy was always busy. Did that mean Mommy would never get to wear a wedding dress in her lifetime?

He handed the phone back to Mommy. When An Junxi saw the chat history, she was really frustrated with Gu Yikun. He was busy. Did he not even want a wedding?
