"Hmm, alright." Zhong Luoyi nodded, turned around to leave her office, picked up a novel given by Xia Yuge’s assistant from the counter, and returned to the office.
Munni finally decided to read Xia Yuge’s novel, to see the ’heartfelt’ love story she had penned.
Munni knew this novel was based on the past between Xia Yuge and Xu Yisen.
And because of this knowledge, even though she kept reminding herself that it’s just a romantic novel exaggerated by Xia Yuge, she couldn’t help but bring Xu Yisen into the novel.
In the novel, Munni’s character is a wealthy lady named Lu Jiayao, with a terrible temper, good at disguising herself, and unscrupulous in achieving her goals, continuously flattering Cui Jingxian’s family to marry him.
Lu Jiayao’s character is heavily vilified, completely a detestable side actress, yet she somehow lucked into marrying Cui Jingxian.
Cui Jingxian doesn’t like Lu Jiayao at all; their marriage was entirely due to his mother’s pressure. After marriage, they appear loving and tender in public, but indifferent privately, sometimes even ignoring each other.
During closing time, Fujino Doxu came into her office to ask Munni to join him for lunch. Seeing Munni frowning at the novel in her hand, he couldn’t help but say, "Things like this with no meaning are really not worth wasting time on."
Munni put down the novel she was almost finished reading, rubbed her aching temples, and laughed, "This woman really doesn’t mind the hassle."
