Chapter 321 - 307 Crossing Danger

Chapter 321: 307 Crossing Danger

"Actually, this isn’t the first time I’ve faced such a situation." Tian Sangsang lifted her slightly swollen eyes from his embrace and said hoarsely, "Back in Tian Family Village, my cousin forced me to marry the local tyrant Chen Biao by kidnapping Yanyan, trying to threaten me. But in the end, I found the person and turned the tables on her."

The scenes from back then are vivid in her memory. A bit out of her mind, but with her child missing, how could she stay calm? Tian Tian was beaten terribly yet still refused to tell the whereabouts. Only with the hints from her son did she find the person. She still remembers her son hiding under the table, covered in dust when found, her heart ached so much.

Where are those people now? Tian Tian had long become a defeated foe; Chen Biao was also on the run.

"Sangbao..." Jiang Jinghuai’s throat moved with difficulty.

Tian Sangsang continued on her own, "Life is full of such unexpected events. And I, I don’t even have the ability to prevent them from happening."

"This isn’t your fault." If there’s blame, it should be on him. Jiang Jinghuai cupped her face in his hands, gently caressing. "Believe me, Yanyan will be fine."

"Do you have any enemies?" she suddenly asked.

"Plenty." He paused, his voice slightly deeper, "But they wouldn’t play such a childish trick as kidnapping, they wouldn’t harm family."

Tian Sangsang’s mind stirred, "What if it’s my enemies? Shui Lian... Chen Biao..."

"I’ve already sent someone to investigate Shui Lian, we’ll have results soon." After a moment of expressionless silence, he frowned, "As for Chen Biao, I’ll notify the police to keep an eye out."

He got up and walked out.

"Take your coat." Tian Sangsang grabbed the coat by the side, recalling the wet clothes when she was in his arms, "Be careful."

"Alright."

**

Tian Sangsang woke up in a dizzy state. Jiang Jinghuai had already left. As soon as he left, the house felt even colder. She looked at the ceiling, then out of the window where it was drizzling rain.

Even wrapped in a quilt, the coldness spread throughout her body unstoppably.

She got up, changed clothes, washed up, and ate a hasty meal. She went downstairs to find You Huixixi, wanting to see if there was any progress, but there was still no news.

The men weren’t home; only women were left in the house.

The child was missing, and You Huixixi was filled with regret, holding Tian Sangsang’s hand, a wave of self-blame came over her, "I’ve neglected Nini because I’m pregnant recently. Now that I think about it, I’m largely responsible for what happened to Nini. Both hands are equally dear, she’s always been so sweet and understanding. It’s my fault as a mother that caused this to happen!"

Tian Sangsang patted her hand, comforting, "Sister-in-law, don’t be too sad, you’re pregnant now. Nini and Yanyan will be safe and sound."

Though she said that, Tian Sangsang’s heart was unsure. She didn’t want to just sit and wait for death; she wanted to look for them herself. Having something to do is better than sitting alone, letting her imagination run wild.

Leaving the family compound, she walked along the road. The military district is in a relatively remote area, and it took a while before a field and farmland appeared.

An abandoned school suddenly came into Tian Sangsang’s sight.

For some reason, a tweet she had once seen flashed through her mind, the case of Park Xiaozhen, the girl student from the military district kindergarten, who went missing. Yes, she saw it on her phone! A long-unsolved case!

As if guided by a supernatural force, Tian Sangsang quietly stared at the school.

"Woof woof~" Little Milk Tea barked at her feet, seeming very anxious.

"Could Yanyan be inside?" Sensing Little Milk Tea’s abnormal behavior, Tian Sangsang cautiously asked. She knew Little Milk Tea was different from other dogs; it had a bit of human-like understanding.

Little Milk Tea nodded vigorously.

"You wait here. If I’m not back in twenty minutes, go notify Jiang Jinghuai." Tian Sangsang instructed.

Little Milk Tea nodded again.

The abandoned school stood eerily among the fields, with not a soul around. As she approached, she could see an old well inside the school gates. A chilling aura hit her face. Tian Sangsang entered through a side gate, checking classroom by classroom, finding nothing suspicious.

Behind the classrooms was a desolate piece of land, once likely used for growing vegetables. Across the land was a small house. The narrow land between two walls was covered in moss and dust, with the house’s door ajar.

Tian Sangsang looked at it curiously, took a deep breath, and stepped inside. A voice kept shouting in her heart, "Son, my son is inside!"

As soon as she stepped through the door, something hit her from behind. Her vision went black, and she lost consciousness.

When she regained consciousness, she was in this small room. Her head hurt terribly, and as she moved her hands, she found that they were actually locked with chains.

"Mom." Meng Shuyan squatted in front of her, calling softly.

"Yanyan!" Tian Sangsang looked at him in surprise, his clothes a bit messy, his little face pale. "Are you alright?"

"I’m okay." His hands were tied with hemp rope, but his feet weren’t bound. Originally, he was alone and very scared being locked here. But now that his mom was here too, he wasn’t scared. Being with his mom made him feel better. However, thinking about it, it was still frightening that even his mom got caught.

Tian Sangsang tried moving her hands, but the chains were too strong to break free. Glancing around, she asked, "Where’s Nini?"

"Nini is held somewhere else."

"They?"

As soon as she asked this, the door was opened. Wearing a white dress, Shui Lian walked in from outside. Her elegant face was gaunt, yet she looked spirited.

The dress was thin, wasn’t she cold? Tian Sangsang said coldly, "So it was you."

Shui Lian was an old acquaintance, and hearing this, she sneered, "Tian Sangsang, how did you find this place?"

"Probably by following the nauseating stench that comes from you." Tian Sangsang replied. "I traced your stench here."

Shui Lian’s face twisted in anger, "Even now you’re being stubborn! Dammit, your unexpected appearance disrupted all our plans!"

"You all?" Tian Sangsang squinted.

"Yes, us." Shui Lian smiled gently, "Someone you know, an old friend of yours."

When the fearsome Chen Biao appeared in the room, Tian Sangsang forcefully suppressed the shock inside. She had thought it might have been either Shui Lian or Chen Biao who kidnapped her son. But what she didn’t expect was that the two of them would team up.

"Bitch, we meet again." Chen Biao stroked his chin, his sinister eyes examining her, "Back then you and Zhao Chun really messed me up. Now that you and your son are in my hands, I’m going to have some fun."

He said this, then laughed evilly twice, "Wow, you used to be a fat black blob, now you’re unrecognizable. Look at that fair face, that slender waist, quite pretty! Miss Shui, she’s prettier than you!" He gave a leering look.

"Vixen." Shui Lian sneered.
