Chapter 1906: Chapter 948: Long Yi’s Return (Double Release)

Psh—

Gu Jiao’s Red-Tasseled Spear pierced through his viscera!

The Great Guardian fell to the ground, never able to close his eyes in death, without uttering that title.

Of the Eight Guardians, only the Second Guardian, heavily injured by Gu Changqing, remained.

Due to the severe injury, he couldn’t charge ahead and ended up surviving the longest.

He no longer had the strength to fight, looking at the bodies of his fellow disciples, overwhelmed by shock and grief, unsure of who to tend to first.

"Third Guardian... Third Guardian..."

"Eighth Guardian... Wake up..."

"Old Fourth..."

"Old Fifth..."

"Great Guardian... Great Guardian... Great Guardian!"

His voice was choked with sobs and fear.

Gu Jiao dragged the blood-drenched Red-Tasseled Spear in front of him, her body soaked in Sword Manor’s blood, every intact part thick with the scent of blood, igniting an unyielding frenzy within her.

Gu Changqing clutched his chest and called her: "Jiaojiao... don’t kill..."

Gu Jiao couldn’t hear him.

With murderous intent, she raised her Red-Tasseled Spear.

In a split second, a white-robed elder descended from the sky, with fierce killing intent, delivering a strike towards Gu Jiao.

Gu Changqing leaped to take the blow for Gu Jiao.

He landed heavily on the ground, spitting blood everywhere.

This man’s power was too formidable, far beyond the Dark Soul!

The Second Guardian, like a drowning man seeing his last straw, cried out desperately: "White Tiger Master!"

The Sword Manor’s Four Masters: Azure Dragon, Vermilion Bird, White Tiger, Black Tortoise.

Gu Jiao quickly turned around, coldly staring at the newcomer.

Gu Changqing looked at Gu Jiao; she couldn’t fight anymore... she was too overexerted... if she continued... both she and the child in her womb would be lost...

The White Tiger Master stood beside the Second Guardian, glanced at him, and coldly snorted: "You can’t even handle a girl, what’s the point of you!"

The Second Guardian hung his head low.

The White Tiger Master spoke indifferently: "Girl, I don’t want to kill you. If you come with me obediently, I can spare them."

Gu Jiao’s eyes were icy cold as she replied: "Prepare to die."

The White Tiger Master sneered disdainfully: "Won’t take what’s offered, preferring punishment instead!"

He acknowledged Gu Jiao’s power, seeing it clearly, yet she had just been through a fight, her stamina greatly depleted, and the more she was out of control, the more she consumed.

She had little strength left.

He didn’t need to draw his sword, waste two moves, and she’d faint by herself!

That’s the advantage of having more people!

The White Tiger Master, relying on the advantage of agility, baited Gu Jiao to exhaust her last bit of strength, yet at this moment, suddenly, an explosion echoed from the horizon.

A dreadful force grazed his shoulder, spreading a fiery pain through his entire arm.

He landed near a large tree, looking at his wounded shoulder; not a tear but an open wound, appearing gruesomely bloody.

"Tsk, just a graze, what a pity."

Accompanied by a nonchalant sigh, Shangguan Qing swaggered over, carrying a fire gun.

Clearly alone, yet walking with an aura like a thousand troops.

This probably benefitted from his father’s genes.

"Mind making way?"

Behind him, Xiao Hen, completely blocked, spoke calmly.

"Oh." Shangguan Qing decisively made way for his annoying younger brother.

Xiao Hen’s eyes scanned around, then swiftly headed towards Gu Jiao.

Shangguan Qing, looking at the bloodthirsty Gu Jiao, now incapable of distinguishing friend from foe, loudly warned his annoying brother: "Hey! Danger!"

Xiao Hen fearlessly approached Gu Jiao, gripping her hand holding the Red-Tasseled Spear: "Jiaojiao!"

Gu Jiao’s hand was trembling.

The white-robed Master looked dangerously at the two.

Shangguan Qing aimed the fire gun at him: "Don’t move, or I’ll blow your head off!"

Xiao Hen raised a hand to touch her face: "Jiaojiao... it’s me... Ahen..."

Shangguan Qing gritted his teeth: "Come over here first! She doesn’t recognize anyone now! She’ll hurt you!"

Xiao Hen gave Gu Jiao a deep look, drawing the completely out-of-control Gu Jiao into his embrace.

Shangguan Qing’s face changed drastically: "You’re mad!"

Gu Jiao raised her Red-Tasseled Spear, the spearhead glinting coldly under the moonlight, reflecting in her bloodthirsty eyes.

Shangguan Qing exclaimed in shock: "Brother!"

The long spear descended, piercing the Second Guardian attempting a sneak attack from behind Xiao Hen.

Gu Jiao’s last bit of strength was used up, her eyes went black, and she collapsed, the Red-Tasseled Spear falling heavily to the ground.

Xiao Hen caught her around the waist: "Jiaojiao, Jiaojiao!"

Shangguan Qing glanced at the unconscious Gu Jiao, the severely injured Gu Changqing, and the Duke An Guo who was hit by Paralysis Medicine, silently finding the situation grim; they were just two to carry three, not looking good at all.

To make matters worse, the other three Masters arrived at the side door, drawn by the sound of the fire gun.

All four were masters of agility; with the night’s concealment, a fire gun couldn’t possibly kill them.

Shangguan Qing, holding the fire gun, felt utterly hopeless: "That’s it, we’re finished, we’re all going to perish here..."

"I’ll handle the fire gun," said the White Tiger Master.

The youngest, yet already among the Masters, the Black Tortoise said: "That girl is mine."

The two struck simultaneously.

The white-robed Master used agility and terrain to restrain Shangguan Qing’s fire gun, the Black Tortoise Master lightly tapped his toes, flew up, and unleashed his claws towards Xiao Hen’s shoulder, intending to separate him from Gu Jiao and throw them off the cliff!

At the critical moment, an icy cold sword energy cleaved through with overwhelming force, killing intent permeating the entire mountain, startling the Black Tortoise Master who didn’t have time to retaliate before his sleeve was cut by the sword energy.

Almost simultaneously, a tall and robust figure descended from the sky, kicking squarely into his chest!

The figure’s owner wielded a Peacock Feather cold shining sword, defiantly standing between Xiao Hen and Gu Jiao.

Several Masters stared at him.

The Black Tortoise Master wiped away the blood at the corner of his mouth, frowned, and asked: "Who are you—"

His icy thin lips parted slightly: "Long Yi."
