Capítulo 1647: Chapter 1666 His Person
“Yes!” Nan Fei nodded without hesitation.
Earlier this morning, she overheard what Emil and Millie were discussing in the restaurant. Although she didn’t catch every word due to the distance, she got the gist of it. She intended to teach that little brat a lesson but let it go since she had already informed Lu Jin.
After all, he’s just a kid. With her guard up, she decided she wouldn’t give him another chance to get close.
Huo Beijiang’s face turned dark, and he gritted his teeth, “That little brat, I gave him a chance to grow up, yet he insists on courting death.”
“You knew?” Nan Fei couldn’t help but exclaim.
“I knew, but I didn’t expect him to be so bold.” He indeed knew that Kaka had always wanted to kill Emil, and Emil had always been trying to escape to Cassey. But none of that really mattered to him.
A child under constant threat to his life naturally wants to escape. He just underestimated the ambition and inherited nature of the men in the Kannaya Royal Family.
“Millie is his person.”
Nan Fei’s words made Huo Beijiang’s face look even worse. He cursed under his breath, “Damn! Honey, I apologize to you. You’re amazing, much more useful than your husband.”
“As long as you admit it.” Nan Fei’s lips curled into a proud smile, her face full of “Let’s see if you’ll take me seriously from now on.”
Huo Beijiang couldn’t help but laugh, reaching out to ruffle Nan Fei’s hair, finding the sensation satisfying. Unable to resist, he did it again, which annoyed Nan Fei into punching him. Her strength, however, was like a gentle scratch to him, something he didn’t mind at all.
“I was wrong, darling, I was wrong; it’s all my fault.” Huo Beijiang pleaded incessantly, giving a brief overview of the upcoming operations in Kannaya. He concluded, “Anyway, you don’t have to worry about it, and I’ll send you back to the country tomorrow.”
“I’m not worried. I know you’ll definitely make it back safely.” Nan Fei reassured herself in her heart as well.
“Good girl! Once you’re back in the country, go to the hospital for a thorough examination and consult the experts.” Although the doctor had assured him, Huo Beijiang was still a bit restless.
“Got it!”
“By the way, how am I going back to the country? Transportation is quite inconvenient now.” When Nan Fei arrived, she had switched modes of transport numerous times and practically came through a hail of bullets.
Leaving wouldn’t be easy either.
“Don’t worry! I’ll personally take you to the coastal dock; Tu Cheng’s fleet is already waiting there.”
Huo Beijiang released his embrace and helped Nan Fei sit down. He picked up a radio from the table and started tinkering with it. Skillfully dismantling all the parts, quickly and precisely diagnosing the issue, he reassembled it in no time.
Nan Fei couldn’t see what he was doing, but judging by the sound, she asked in surprise, “You know how to fix a radio?”
Huo Beijiang instinctively wanted to wink at her boastfully but realized his wife couldn’t see anything. A fleeting complex look crossed his eyes. However, he didn’t give up and mischievously winked at Nan Fei anyway, smiling, “Of course, you should look at who your man is. Is there anything in the world I, Huo Beijiang, can’t do?”
Even though his wife couldn’t see, all his expressions, actions, and gestures remained unchanged.
For Huo Beijiang, Jiang Nanfei was simply Jiang Nanfei. Whether she could see or not, she was his beloved and cherished one.
