Aurelia Shaw, caught off guard, stepped back two steps, her brow lightly furrowed, sending an admonishing glare toward Mason Nightshade.
She spoke coldly, "Sir, we are not familiar with each other, it would be better to maintain some distance."
The CEO was...
Rejected?!
The salesperson could not believe what they heard. Although the CEO was a cold person and exuded a sense of pressure when getting along, his looks and status were enough to captivate any woman. Surely, no woman would refuse the CEO if he made a move towards them, right?
If those women who usually wanted to throw themselves at the CEO heard this, they would probably go crazy.
Mason Nightshade said nothing, pressing Aurelia Shaw into a corner. His fingers picked up a lock of her long hair, slowly twisting it in his palm. Even at a distance, he could still catch a faint whiff of her shampoo's fragrance.
The same as last night's.
In his heart, Mason lingered in the memory for a while. Lowered eyes revealing deep affection unnoticed by others, he returned to a calm demeanor when he raised them again.
"Ms. Shaw may not know me, but I know Ms. Shaw. I've watched your movies and I'm a fan. Oh, and I'm really looking forward to the upcoming release of 'Dawnsong'. Your performance in it is just phenomenal."
Aurelia Shaw looked at the man's calm face and raised a bright and friendly smile, "I see, thank you for your support, but... do you usually get handsy like this with your favorite actors?"
Amanda Fuller, seeing the acting going back and forth between the two with each surpassing the other, couldn't help but shiver as a strange feeling welled up inside her.
"Of course not," Mason Nightshade replied, his gaze lowered, a mysterious light flickering in his dark eyes, "It's because Ms. Shaw is too beautiful, I couldn't help myself."
Mason stepped back a step, and the air around them immediately began to circulate again. He smiled slightly, "I apologize, I lost my composure."
"Not everyone has the luck to become someone I like," Mason said, with deeper meaning.
Aurelia Shaw did not respond to his words.
On the surface, Mason Nightshade showed no change, but inside, disappointment flickered. Watching her walk toward the fitting room, he instinctively wanted to hold her, to look at her a few more times, unable to bear her looking away.
Whenever she vanished from his sight, he felt empty inside, always feeling like something was missing, just wanting to keep her by his side.
"Ms. Shaw looks really good in that outfit."
Aurelia Shaw's temple throbbed, forcing her to stop and converse with him, "Thank you for the compliment."
"I would really like to see you in that outfit again," Mason said softly, his voice carrying a peculiar hoarseness. Not waiting for Aurelia Shaw to respond, he added, "Wrap up the clothes inside for Ms. Shaw. This outfit, consider it a gift from me to Ms. Shaw."
"Just consider it a fan's gift to their idol, surely Ms. Shaw wouldn't refuse this small token of mine?" As Aurelia Shaw opened her mouth, Mason continued.
Her mouth moved slightly, the words she was about to say swallowed back, her face showing a smile, "This outfit is too expensive. If it were a letter or something handmade by a fan, I might accept it, but I'll buy this outfit myself."
Saying this, Aurelia Shaw took out her card.
Mason Nightshade glanced at it; it wasn't his card. He clearly remembered giving this woman a supplementary card! Yet, he had never received any of her spending records.
