In the afternoon, Aurelia Shaw took Amanda Fuller to the film set. Before entering the set, she left her phone number with Ursa Miller, instructing her to call if anything comes up.
The first day on set, there wasn't much to do. After settling in at the hotel, Aurelia took out the script and read it. Although she had thoroughly understood the character beforehand, it was important to delve deeper into the character of Amelina Collins before the actual filming began, immersing herself in the role early on so that it would be easier to capture the right feeling during shooting.
In the evening, Aurelia went out to dinner with the crew; it was a chance for everyone to get acquainted. As expected, the male lead had been finalized as Andrew Kennedy.
He extended his hand to her with a light, indifferent smile, "I didn't expect we'd be working on another film so soon. Would you call this fate?"
Aurelia reached out to shake his hand. In this industry, she was considered a newcomer, while Andrew was a veteran. With a senior extending a greeting, she couldn't possibly refuse.
With a subtle smile at the corner of her mouth, she looked at Andrew with eyes that held a trace of deeper meaning, "Fate would be wonderful."
Andrew heard the double meaning in her words and chuckled softly, not responding directly. He helped her with the chair beside him, extending his hand like a gentleman, "Please sit, my... dear sister."
In the film, Amelina Collins is the sister of the male lead, Nikolai Collins. However, they are not blood-related. When Amelina was eight, her mother remarried Nikolai's father, and they began living as siblings.
Being able to immerse oneself into the role in real life is the best way to experience a character.
Aurelia smiled and sat down unceremoniously, saying to Andrew, "Thank you, brother."
Sawyer laughed heartily at the sight, "Look at them, already able to adapt to their roles in the film. True professionals. Andrew, I heard you're nominated for Best Actor this time?"
Andrew smiled humbly, half-jokingly saying, "It's only a nomination. All the other nominees are very capable seniors. I don't expect to outshine them."
"Until the results are out, nothing is set in stone," remarked Sawyer, though deep down he was quite pleased with Andrew's response.
In this industry, it's not uncommon for young actors to become arrogant and look down on their peers after achieving some success. Although Andrew has been in the industry for a while, he is still young, and his demeanor and words impressed Sawyer as quite rare.
Aurelia quietly observed Andrew. In her past life, she didn't have much interaction with him and didn't know him well. She only knew that he reached the status of Best Actor in just five short years, becoming a superstar in Country Z, and had caught the interest of many internationally renowned directors, who wanted to cast him in various films. His reputation and capability were evident.
There's no such thing as a solely innocent person in the world, and for Andrew to have reached that level, he definitely wasn't someone without depth.
Perhaps because she had interacted with too many cunning people in her past life, Aurelia felt an underlying sense of distance and estrangement from Andrew.
After dinner, everyone returned to their rooms to rest.
Aurelia didn't look at the script again. After taking a shower and applying a facial mask, she planned to go straight to bed, but her phone buzzed with a new email.
Albert: "Have you joined the film set yet?"
Aurelia was quite surprised, "Do you have eyes everywhere? How do you know everything happening on my end?"
Albert laughed, "I don't have eyes everywhere, just a normal person's ability to deduce. Considering the speed with which you signed, and how the situation is trending online, if the director is wise enough, they'd want to get the actors on set and start shooting quickly."
