Chapter 242: Chapter 242: Qiqi Comes Clean, A Fiery Kiss
The man’s deep eyes were warm and intense, the smile at the corner of his lips deepening, and his sexy, husky voice carried a teasing undertone.
"Alright, big brother will satisfy Claire."
Claire Green: "..."
Old rogue, who is satisfying whom after all.
Seeing him lift his foot, a lazy voice slipped out.
"No need to trouble yourself, big brother."
Watching the disappearing figure on the balcony, Julian Sia’s Adam’s apple moved slightly, and a pleasant laugh spilled out.
Claire must be cursing me in her heart.
Before long.
Claire Green lazily walked over, and as soon as she stood still, a sparkler was shoved into her hand.
Looking down at the slender item in her hand, she slightly arched her brow and lazily uttered two words, "Childish."
Does she seem like someone who would play with these?
"A sparkler is perfect for a fairy," Isabella Xyler playfully shook the one in her hand, "Not childish at all."
At the end.
She started to urge, "Olivia, hurry up and light it."
Claire Green lazily lifted her eyelids, looking at her expectant apricot eyes, the corners of her lips curved instinctively, and she flicked the lighter to ignite it.
Instantly, small but dazzling sparks emerged from her hand.
"Then you and Julian can play with these."
Then her left hand was again filled with sparklers, as Isabella flashed a bright smile at her and ran away with a light step.
Holding the items, for the first time, Claire Green had the urge to facepalm when she suddenly caught a glance of a man watching the scene playfully nearby, exuding an indescribable ease.
The waves in her eyes quietly flowed, a mischievous smile appearing on her lips, as she carelessly extended the still-burning sparkler over.
"Since big brother is so eager to play, here you go, you’re welcome."
Julian Sia lazily glanced at her, chuckled softly, and took it.
The two stood together, each holding a burning sparkler, and although neither spoke, they inexplicably made others feel like they’d just witnessed a sweet moment.
Mason Quinn howled playfully, "Even during the New Year, you won’t let us off, it’s downright inhumane."
Hearing this.
The two exchanged a look, their eyes filled with smiles.
This scene was yet another blow to Mason.
I shouldn’t be above ground; I should be underground.
George Xyler couldn’t bear to look and nudged him with his foot, "Go play with Bella and the others."
When did this guy become so clueless, usually playing the third wheel is fine, but now he’s cozying up to Julian, looking for trouble.
...
"Little devil, you stole my fireworks again."
"Bella sis, don’t you know to respect the old and cherish the young? Anyway, your man has some, you take his."
"I want my own, give it back," Isabella said, reaching out to seize it, but it dodged her grasp.
Benjamin Green made a cute face, infuriatingly saying, "Then you can’t play, too bad."
On the balcony, Claire Green supportively watched the group of people below playing and arguing with fireworks, the corners of her lips never falling.
If this were told, who would believe someone born into wealth would enjoy playing these?
"Aren’t you going to join them in playing more?"
Julian Sia’s large, defined hand gently patted the girl’s head, his voice low and sexy.
"No."
Some things are enough to play for a while; continuing to indulge is not good.
Turning her head to look at the man beside her, she recalled Isabella’s words that day, and a sudden urge struck Claire Green, wanting to throw out all the past.
"Big brother, would you like to hear a story?"
Her thin lips gently parted, her voice lightly carried away by the wind.
But nonetheless, the man heard it, his voice pressed very low, "I’ll listen to whatever Claire says."
Hearing this.
Claire Green gently chuckled, turning back to look at the fireworks, lost in thought.
Just when Julian thought she wasn’t ready, the girl’s words caused his eyes to darken.
"Has big brother ever heard of reincarnation?"
For a long moment.
The man made no sound, and Claire could only see her reflection in his pupils, suddenly relaxing entirely.
"I am not a person of this world; in essence, I am merely a stray soul..."
Before she could finish, a long finger pressed against her lips, followed by the man’s deep voice.
"Don’t say, I understand everything."
Since Charles Jordan found the information before, he had already suspected, at the time attributing Claire’s change to the last blood draw. Now, saying it’s due to a change of person makes everything clear.
But if Claire came from another world, would saying this now harm her? It’s all unknown.
The best is to let her keep the secret in her heart.
As if understanding the man’s thought, a hint of a smile appeared in Claire Green’s eyes, softly moving his hand away, speaking slowly, "There will be no problem; I just want big brother to understand what kind of person I am."
Stopping proved futile.
In the ensuing time, the man quietly listened to her recount the past, what she had clearly gone through, now spoken with an outsider’s calmness.
When she mentioned the Green Estate sending her off for experimentation, a cold light flashed in the man’s eyes, and his hand clenched tightly.
No wonder Claire was so averse to the Green Estate.
Listening to her indifferently describing how she was experiment fodder, beaten, and tormented in the lab, an aura of murder began to wrap around the man, accompanied by a piercing pain in his heart.
"Claire, that’s enough."
Julian Sia’s eyes filled with heartache, knowing how painful it was to tear open old wounds.
But Claire Green merely paused, then continued, "With my own hands, I blew them all up; no one in the Green Estate survived, just like the person from Tulip Estate, who also died at my hands."
She looked at her white hands, her voice slightly trembling, "Big brother, would you still want someone like me, with blood-stained hands?"
His response was silence.
A storm began to gather in Claire Green’s eyes, growing dark thoughts in her heart.
Should she destroy Sia Manor and confine him, or destroy him first and stay with him in a deserted place?
Just as she was about to speak, her head was gently lifted.
In the next second.
The man’s enlarged face appeared before her.
His warm, caring gaze fell upon her as ice-cold lips tenderly kissed her face, softly yet passionately.
Finally resting on her lips, lightly touching and exploring, lingering as if patiently waiting for her reaction.
The faint scent of pinewood enveloped her, a peculiar tingling sensation quickly spreading throughout her body.
She never expected him to act this way; Claire Green’s eyes were filled with surprise, her lips slightly parted, just granting the man an opportunity.
The slightly cold tongue slipped into her mouth, greedily capturing her breath, exploring every corner forcefully.
After a long moment.
He rested his forehead against hers, his gaze blazing hot, "This is my answer, Claire, are you satisfied?"
To him, whether she was blood-stained or immersed in darkness, she was the one he wanted to cherish.
His feelings for her were irrelevant to appearance, only because it was her.
Claire Green paused for a few seconds before smiling, "Big brother sure never misses a chance to take advantage."
Julian Sia, hearing this, grinned as he pinched her cheek, lazily speaking, "To let Claire feel at ease, it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make."
"Big brother really is wronged," Claire Green raised an eyebrow, her smile not reaching her eyes, "Your sacrifice is quite significant."
"It’s nothing, after all, it’s for Claire."
"..."
Damn, I can’t match that slickness.
