Chapter 258 - 256: Bluebird Stays in R Nation, Qi Returns to Bayne City

Chapter 258: Chapter 256: Bluebird Stays in R Nation, Qi Returns to Bayne City

Victoria Windsor looked at her, understanding the expression and found it amusing as she began speaking, "Got caught by your fiancé again yesterday?"

She had known Bluebird for a long time and was initially shocked when she found out she had a fiancé. Later, upon hearing that this fiancé was extremely possessive and obsessive, she found it amusing and slightly entertaining.

"Yeah, that guy is just annoying to death," Bluebird said, pursing her lips with irritation in her eyes. "I had just boarded the plane, and he dragged me off it in front of everyone."

Talking about that guy filled her with anger. After all, she’s a girl, and being carried off the plane on someone’s shoulder in front of everyone was utterly humiliating.

Victoria Windsor imagined the scene and couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

One had to admit, Bluebird’s fiancé really was the epitome of a chauvinistic man, dragging someone off a plane. It’s a wonder he managed to do it.

"I really want to meet your fiancé," Victoria Windsor commented while Bluebird glared at her. She coughed lightly and said, "Enough about that, let’s talk about something else."

Finally.

She seriously changed the topic, "Do you know why J wants you to stay in R Nation?"

Bluebird shook her head. She had been dragged back yesterday and received a call from J today, saying that if she came to R Nation, she should stay, without further details.

Seeing Victoria Windsor’s mysterious demeanor piqued her curiosity, "Has something happened?"

Upon hearing this.

Victoria Windsor smiled and asked, "Did you read the news today?"

"I did," Bluebird frowned. "We all know it was J’s doing, so is there something we don’t know?"

The Nether Lord never mentioned unnecessary things. If she brought up the news, there must be something Bluebird didn’t know.

Victoria Windsor smiled and no longer kept her in suspense, "J is the one who acquired several companies in Sakura at a low price. Now you understand why she wants you to stay in R Nation, right?"

Understand she did, but could she refuse?

Bluebird pursed her lips in distress, "Can I still make it back if I leave now?"

Upon hearing this.

Victoria Windsor, with a mischievous smile, looked at her gleefully and said, "What do you think?"

"Forget it, I’ll just stay, which might just help me shake off that annoying guy."

However.

Bluebird turned her head, "What’s J planning to do with acquiring those companies?"

Upon hearing this.

Victoria Windsor gave a mysterious smile and leaned in to whisper something in her ear.

Bluebird’s eyes widened with shock, and after a while, she hesitantly said, "You’re not joking, right?"

"No, so you’ll be busy for some time to come."

...

In Bayne City, Claire Green had just exited the airport and quickly spotted a man in the crowd. As if sensing her, the man looked up, and their eyes met.

Claire Green’s lips instinctively curved into a smile as she casually walked toward him with her backpack.

"My brother is as punctual as ever."

Hearing the teasing in her words, the man laughed and patted her head jokingly, "You’re so busy, Claire, so this is the best I can do."

Claire Green glanced at him and bent down to get in the car.

"How did things go, Claire?"

The familiar scent of cedar filled the small space, and his deep, magnetic voice echoed as her side sank down.

"Pretty good," Claire Green replied concisely.

Julian Sia noticed the fatigue at the corners of her eyes. His eyes flickered as his evenly jointed fingers gently flicked her forehead, and he softly murmured.

"Tired?"

"A little," she admitted.

Just as she finished speaking, she heard the man chuckle softly, and soon her head rested on his shoulder.

"Sleep."

Above her, his rich magnetic voice made Claire Green’s body stiffen momentarily before she relaxed.

With the scent of cedar surrounding her, her eyes slowly closed, and her breathing gradually steadied.

Julian Sia watched her sleeping face, his gaze filled with tenderness, as a low chuckle slipped from his lips.

Charles Jordan, who was driving, accidentally saw the scene in the rearview mirror and suddenly found it tooth-achingly sweet. Just as he was about to raise the partition, he heard the man’s calm voice.

"How’s the preparation going?"

The hand reaching out was retracted, and Charles Jordan spoke softly, "As per your instructions, Mr. Julian, most of the preparations are complete."

Julian Sia nodded and said no more.

The car quietly made its way back to the estate, and Claire Green showed no signs of waking.

Seeing the deeply asleep girl, Julian Sia chuckled silently, knowing Claire must have been quite busy dealing with such a big issue.

He carried her gently, walking steadily into the house.

Housekeeper Aunt Yip saw the person in his arms and beamed with a smile, "Is Miss Green asleep?"

"Yes, please prepare a bowl of porridge later, Aunt Yip," Julian Sia said as he carried her upstairs, showing no intention of waking her.

As she watched the two go upstairs, Aunt Yip’s smile broadened even more. It wouldn’t be long before the Sia Manor would be celebrating a happy event.

He carefully laid the girl on the bed, and Julian Sia’s thoughts drifted to his plan, his features lit up with a smile.

He never thought he would one day behave like a lovestruck teenager.

After gazing at the girl for a while, he finally left her room.

It was an hour later when Claire Green woke up, and seeing the familiar setting of the room, she instinctively knew it was Julian Sia who had brought her upstairs.

Leaning back against the bed, Claire Green absentmindedly rubbed her fingers together, gradually losing her guard around him.

Suddenly.

The door was pushed open, and she lifted her eyelids just as the man came in with a bowl, sitting beside her, "When did you wake?"

His tone was nonchalant yet slightly deep.

"Just now," accepting the bowl he handed her, Claire Green took a sip, "Aunt Yip hasn’t returned to the Capital City yet."

"She’ll go back with us tomorrow."

Upon hearing this.

Claire Green lifted her eyes, speaking languidly, "Brother, are you notifying me?"

"If you don’t want to go back, you can stay a few more days, Claire."

Hearing his words, Claire Green smiled, "Really, what if I say I won’t go until school starts?"

Julian Sia showed no sign of anger upon hearing this, and his usually lazy eyes were now filled with indulgence, accompanied by a low, deep, and sultry voice.

"Whatever makes you happy, Claire."

Claire Green’s fingers paused slightly before she nonchalantly took another sip of porridge, pretending to be indifferent.

"Forget it, better go back to Capital City, to avoid Grandpa Sia coming over."

"Looks like we have to thank the old man this time," Julian Sia said with a teasing smile in his eyes, "for making you go back to Capital City early."

Seeing the man’s expression, Claire Green tugged her lips, handing him the bowl before bluntly telling him to leave.

"Brother, you can leave now."

Upon hearing this.

Julian Sia chuckled softly, "Alright, keep napping, Claire."

Watching the door close behind him, a smile slowly crept up Claire Green’s lips, and her whole demeanor turned relaxed.

But then thoughts of Caleb Green’s family popped into her mind, and the brows that had just been smiling suddenly turned irritable.

She knew the Green family was not the same as the Green family from her past life, but her rejection of the Greens could not be dispelled.

Whenever she thought of the Green family, aside from psychological irritation and disgust, there was also a deep-seated bloodlust.

She was well aware of what Caleb Green had been doing in Bayne City for so long, but they didn’t know the problem wasn’t with them.

It was with her own psychological issues.

With this thought, Claire Green’s eyes darkened. Some matters always needed resolving.
