Chapter 802: Becoming Local
The key to the tower had fallen into their laps last night, but before they could use it, the party had to find a way to get inside the tower’s entrance and learn whether or not Justice Dealer and Ditsy were still alive. After that, the next phase of their plan would begin. Either bringing the real murderer to justice or dealing with Mesmerazia’s faithful at the tower.
However, to do any of that without raising suspicion, they required information. And while Garcia could inform them about everything she knew of the tower, there were surely changes made inside the place to catch her or any intruder who tried to sneak inside. The level of security had to be learned before making that attempt.
Dressed in a pair of provocative bikinis with nets for sleeves, both elves, masked as human twins, have had a change of merchandise in their tented shop. Conjured by Mel, the place was filled with addictive herbs, tobacco, and other hallucinogens to draw the shadiest of customers, as they were their best bet for information.
The guards eyed them for more reasons than one. A pair of twins dressed in such a provocative way. Their skin all lathered with a coat of oil, their breasts fuller than a mother who’d just given birth–all thanks to the crimson witch’s goods, and although they’d only planned to use it around Raven, for now it was helping them add more detail to the basic form created by the shapeshifter’s mask.
"I can do this all day~" Mel muttered, smoking through a long pipe with her legs crossed on her chair.
Rolling her eyes at the woman, Aria turned her attention back to the customers. The smell of tobacco and other drugs floated all around them. Which in turn drew more customers than any other stall. Mel’s task was to look pretty with that long pipe while Aria was the one doing most of the work. At times, the men, as well as some women, eyed her so hard that she could feel their gaze boring in on her chest and her near-bare thighs.
"No...we’re not that kind of sellers!" Yelling at such customers, Aria kept on collecting coins. Something they needed plenty of since the design on Inktaus’ gold was far different from what they had everywhere else.
Pressed in a specialized machine, the coins were perfectly symmetrical. Each coin had identical designs with no flaws at all, and the ones that did were no longer accepted as legal tender. The party had tried to replicate it, but with Mono uninterested in the work and everyone else unable to give the same amount of detail, it was nearly impossible to get the same quality design.
"How do I help you, fine gentleman?" Posing a fake smile as a guard finally came to their stall, Aria gestured to Mel to come closer with the hand she had hidden behind her back. Getting up quickly, Mel strode close with a jerk to the sway of her hips. Her big breasts bounced as she walked, and her thighs rippled with each step. Standing beside Aria, she threw one hand across the elf’s shoulder and pressed their bodies closer until their breasts were pushed together and so were their faces.
The guard’s eyes were glued to their tits, but as he realized how much he was staring, he took a deep gulp and lifted his head nervously. A new recruit with a weakness for fine women, just the kind of prey the girls were looking for.
"What’s a soldier of your caliber doing here? Shouldn’t you be guarding the elects?" Mel said to him, smiling.
Flustered by her flattery, the man crashed the back of his helmet and let out a laugh.
"Ahaha...No, I just guard the entrance like most." The elves’ eyes lit up at his response, and so with a tug of his arm, the girls pulled him into the tent.
Leading him towards the chair, Mel sat him in it. In the meantime, Aria sealed the tent’s entrance by lowering the cloth. Hesitant, the man looked at the two, his nervousness apparent on his face. But as both of the girls grew closer, he tried to rationalize what was happening and assumed that they were just trying not to get into trouble by giving him some extra service.
"Alright, do it, Mel..."
"What?" Before anything else could happen, Mel blew a cloud of smoke onto his face. Taking it all in, his mind instantly went empty, and the next time his eyes opened, they were hollow and devoid of any rational thought behind them.
"Gods, I had been holding that back for so long..." Getting up from her knees, Mel rubbed her smoke-dried throat. "As much as I love smoking, there should really be a limit to how much I should have to, even for a mission."
"Quit complaining; we should start asking him questions before the effect wears off or the other guards get suspicious."
"Ughh... fine, go ahead, princess." And so, with the guard under the charm of a drug, the girls talked to him about everything that he knew about the tower’s tightened defences.
They learned quite a lot from him, and by the time he was sent away, the effect of the drug was gone, and he only remembered what they told him last. ’He’s had a good time with the girls.’ Obviously, that was a lie, but that didn’t stop the other guards from paying them a visit. Using the same tactic, the girls drew more and more information from both men and women until eventually they knew everything there was to know about the tower’s defences.
Walking away with false memories, the guards had no clue what had happened, and as the girls continued with their business, they only had one thing going on in their minds.
’Finally, we can have a night with Raven again.’ Planning to use the witch’s items to entice him while they relayed all the information to him, the girls packed up the moment the sun was down and headed straight for the inn, where everything would soon be planned. The infiltration of the tower would soon begin.
