Chapter 487 - 295: Three Generation-Class Fragments, Ghost Bell’s Question

Chapter 487: Chapter 295: Three Generation-Class Fragments, Ghost Bell’s Question

Cezar felt deeply shocked at that time. He rode the Phoenix and dove straight into the mouth of the Legendary Whale, where he witnessed the disintegrating Terrarium.

The twilight enveloped the entire world, painting the seawater with a dangerous and dazzling red. The island had been relocated, leaving the sea surface empty as the tide was rising.

Endless floods submerged this monotonous world. Crimson fish swam in mid-air, driven by survival instincts to frenziedly strike the whale’s belly with a pounding sound. The commotion from all directions gathered, as if an apocalypse symphony was playing.

Finally, with the help of the Phoenix, Cezar achieved his goal.

After a while, Cezar suddenly opened his eyes, smirked at Yaguba, and raised his right hand.

"Got it," he said.

Yaguba turned his head to look, only to see that Cezar’s right index finger was pinching three cards, their backs flickering with orange light patterns.

He recognized these three Anecdote Fragments. The first card depicted a towering Tower of Babel reaching the clouds, another showed a giant beast entirely covered in black mud, and the last one featured a massive cruise liner.

The three were all fragments once used by the Royal Court Team.

"Tower of Babel, Loch Ness Monster, and Titanic?" Yaguba muttered in surprise.

He initially thought Cezar was merely daydreaming, but unexpectedly Cezar indeed found the fragments left by the Royal Court Team, confirming that the saying "fortune comes with risk" was true.

"I didn’t find any other generational-level fragments from the Royal Court Team, guessing they returned to nature, but finding these three already satisfies me," Cezar hummed.

"Great, great, then Sharky has breakfast!" Yaguba exclaimed with delight, opening his mouth to reveal a set of sharp teeth.

"What are you doing? I didn’t find them for you to eat," Cezar was shocked and hurriedly stored the fragments.

"Please feed me."

"No way! I need to keep them for battles, at least wait until we’ve dealt with the Light-Eating Bee Tribe first."

"Oh, alright then," Yaguba pouted, "By the way, aren’t you a B-Class Anecdote Envoy? How can you use so many fragments? Better let Sharky eat them, efficient use of resources."

After some time of cultivation, Cezar’s Anecdote Envoy level had improved from C-Class to B-Class.

As a B-Class Anecdote Envoy, he is allowed to bind up to three generational-level and higher Anecdote Fragments, which means besides ’Phoenix’ and ’Christmas Sled,’ Cezar can bind at most one more generational level, which clearly can’t bear the "Tower of Babylon," "Loch Ness Monster," "Titanic" these three fragments.

"Keep it first," Cezar summoned the Anecdote Atlas and held it in his hand, "I think I can become an S-Class Anecdote Envoy like Li Qingping within a month, then I’ll be able to use all five generational-level fragments in my hand."

With that, he stored the three generational-level Anecdote Fragments into the atlas.

"Alright," Yaguba admitted, "I agree with your father king, you truly are a one-in-a-billion genius among Anecdote Envoys."

Whether it was the king’s blessing or his own exceptional talents, ever since grasping the cultivation method, Cezar broke through a realm every few days.

If he maintained such a rate of progress, he might indeed reach the apex of Anecdote Envoys within a month; terms like monster or genius wouldn’t suffice anymore.

Cezar’s talent in being an Anecdote Envoy might be on par with Mario in being an Exorcist, surely to a degree that he would be recruited into the Salvation Society.

Yaguba withdrew its scattered thoughts, transformed into a palm-sized little Shark, and landed on Cezar’s shoulder.

"By the way, which fragment do you plan to bind first?" It tapped his head with its fin.

"Haven’t decided yet," Cezar shook his head, "Depends on the situation, I don’t know which fragment would be more useful when facing those Bee Race."

He thought for a moment, "But I will try my best. After we’ve dealt with the Light-Eating Bees, don’t we still have to confront that organization called ’Salvation Society’ and rescue your friends?"

"Honestly, to fight against Salvation Society’s people, even five generational-level fragments might not be enough," Yaguba said.

"Why? Do they have Mythical-level Anecdotes?" Cezar was stunned.

"Yes," Yaguba nodded slightly, "Names like Great Sage Equal to Heaven, World Tree, Zeus, don’t they already sound formidable? I’ve heard each of them could beat up six or seven Catastrophe-level Power Users. Even Sharky can only tremble in their presence."

"Really?" Cezar raised an eyebrow, murmuring, "I thought they only existed in legend. My father also said he never saw Mythical-level Anecdotes."

"Are you scared?" Yaguba asked, "There’s still time to back out."

"What’s there to fear?" Cezar shook his head, his eyes gleaming, "Besides... seeing a Mythical Anecdote is every Anecdote Envoy’s dream."

"What if you die?" Yaguba suddenly asked.

"Would you die with me?" Cezar softly said, "If someone dies with me, I won’t be afraid. If you’re not there, Yaguba, then, I suppose I would die together with Li Qingping? After thinking about it, it doesn’t seem too bad to accept."

Yaguba was taken aback.

After a moment of silence, it nodded, thinking to itself that its Model Three could probably accompany him to death, but its main body wasn’t that simple. If it were so easily killed, the Salvation Society would have destroyed it long ago.

"Let’s go, I’m hungry too. Let’s head back to Hokkaido for a feast. Miss Ripper transferred me a large sum of money, which I guess we won’t be able to spend for a while."

"Sharky wants sashimi!"

"I’ll buy you all the sashimi you want, just don’t eat my Anecdote Fragments secretly."

.....

.....

Meanwhile, in another corner of the world, Gu Wenyu opened his eyes from the hotel room’s bed. He extended the restraint belt, flipped out the slightly vibrating phone, and glanced at the screen.

[Ghost Bell: How is Qiye?]

[Black Cocoon: Rest assured, your son is doing well, and he might even find a girlfriend. Uh... isn’t there a saying that a girl’s pursuit of a boy is like a veil? Though, neither of them seems quite human.]

[Black Cocoon: By the way, I’ve worked with Mr. Qiye to identify the killer of your wife. His nickname is "Father of Puppets," with the characteristic of wearing an oversized trench coat.]

[Ghost Bell: Father of Puppets?]

[Black Cocoon: Exactly, and by the way, I’ve got good news for you, this guy is also with the Salvation Society.]

After sending the message, a prompt suddenly appeared in front of Gu Wenyu.
