If it were her, she might not have such patience.

Compared to spending the whole day in the laboratory, which was mentally and physically exhausting, sitting and listening to lectures was definitely much easier.

"I’ve decided, I’m going to cook tonight." Sheng Ning’an said.

Did he not believe she could cook?
Sheng Ning’an decided to show him a thing or two tonight: "Just wait and see, while you were away, I learned to cook several dishes."
But Xu Weiran looked at her, a complex expression tinged with a hint of guilt.
"I’m sorry!" he said.
Sheng Ning’an: "Sorry for what?"
Could he be apologizing for not believing her?
There’s no need for that!
She wasn’t that petty.
Xu Weiran: "I just feel so sorry for not taking good care of you."
Having her move out, yet not taking care of her well.
So that’s what he meant.
Sheng Ning’an laughed indifferently: "I’m not a child who needs to be taken care of."
Besides, it was for work.
When she started dating him, Sheng Ning’an knew his work meant he wouldn’t have much time to spend with her.
She was prepared for this.
Sheng Ning’an took his hand and said: "Actually, you’ve done really well."
"Really, I originally thought I’d have a boyfriend who spent all day in the laboratory and wouldn’t see me more than a few times a month." She noted that her Young Uncle was like that.
"But after being together, you always try to come home early every day, and every week you make an effort to spend time with me. I’m already very satisfied."
Everything he had done had far exceeded her expectations.

"No." Sheng Ning’an, seeing his urgency for the first time, said, "I just meant that my parents are both busy these days. One’s away on a business trip, the other’s busy with a project. You can wait until the weekend."
Besides, an engagement wasn’t a trivial matter; she should at least inform her family first.
