Sheng Ning’an didn’t want to get entangled with the other person and directly took Tang Dou away.

Even after leaving the dance floor, she could still feel the annoying gaze from behind.

Tang Dou also felt disgusted by being stared at by such people, and couldn’t help but complain, "I really wonder what kind of taste Li Mengtao has, always managing to pick this kind of person."

If she’d known she’d run into someone like that, she wouldn’t have come to join the fun.

Sheng Ning’an didn’t comment on others’ choices.

After all, emotions are a personal thing; outsiders can’t really say much.

She said to Tang Dou, "You’ve seen enough of the fun, should we head back?" They’ve seen what needed to be seen, heard all the gossip they needed to hear, staying longer wouldn’t be of much interest.

"Sure, let’s go." Tang Dou hooked her arm around Sheng Ning’an’s, and the two left without even saying goodbye to Li Mengtao.

After all, given their relationship with Li Mengtao, saying goodbye or not doesn’t really matter.

"Where are you heading? I’ll give you a lift," Sheng Ning’an asked Tang Dou after fastening her seatbelt.

"I’m going back to school," Tang Dou replied.

Then she asked Sheng Ning’an, "What about you? Heading home, or going back to your love nest?"

"I’m going home, having dinner with Grandpa and Grandma tonight," Sheng Ning’an answered as she drove out of the parking lot.

"I’m so jealous of you," Tang Dou sighed. "Unlike me, my parents are so busy that they’re always out of sight. Even if I go home, I’m alone. I might as well stay in the dorm."

"Why not come home with me then?" Sheng Ning’an turned to glance at her. Speaking of which, this girl hadn’t been over to her house for a long time.

"Is it okay? Will it be inconvenient? You’re having a family dinner, I might be a bit of an outsider," Tang Dou felt tempted but worried about disrupting their family gathering.

"It’s no inconvenience at all. It’s just one more pair of chopsticks, and you know my family anyway." Besides, her family pretty much has dinner together every week, nothing special.

"Alright then, I’ll thick-skinnedly join for dinner." Honestly, she did miss Sheng Family’s cooking.

Sheng Ning’an drove straight home.

"Grandma Sheng, I’m here to see you!" Tang Dou rushed over to the old lady as soon as she entered the door.

Qin Suxin greeted her with a smile, "Tang Tang’s here? Haven’t seen you come over to play lately."

Tang Dou glanced at Sheng Ning’an, pretending to complain, "All because someone is prioritizing romance over friendship. After her boyfriend came into the picture, I’ve been thrown aside, as she’s occupied every day and has no time for me."

"Really? I’ll have a word with her for you later," Grandma Sheng jokingly placated her.

Tang Dou took the opportunity to hold Grandma Sheng’s hand and acted coquettishly, "You’re the best, Grandma." It would’ve seemed to others that these two were the actual granddaughters.

While they were chatting, a figure suddenly walked in from outside. Tang Dou immediately stood up straight when she saw who it was, and respectfully greeted the person at the door, "Hello, Young Uncle."

Sheng Yeli raised his gaze toward Tang Dou, nodded slightly, and then returned to his room.

Only after his figure disappeared at the staircase did Tang Dou let out a soft sigh of relief.

Sheng Ning’an glanced at her cowardly demeanor and found it quite odd, "My young uncle doesn’t bite, why are you so afraid of him?"

Tang Dou patted her chest, "I can’t quite explain it. Every time I see your young uncle, I just feel a huge sense of intimidation." Just like when a slacking student bumps into the class teacher unexpectedly.
