Chapter 366: Chapter 364 The Beauty’s Plot
At the suburban villa, no sooner had Yang Jinyu stepped inside than he was seized by the up-and-coming model Jinjin. "President Yang, you’ve finally made it. The girls have been waiting for you for a long time."
A man surrounded by beauties typically feels nothing but pride and satisfaction.
And Yang Jinyu was no exception.
Dashing and wealthy, though nearly forty, he looked young and handsome. While not quite on the level of Si Yuhuan or Song Xicheng, he was certainly distinguished among other men.
Seeing such a Diamond Bachelor, the women eagerly threw themselves at him.
"Alright, today let’s talk of all of life’s ups and downs. I, President Yang, am happy, so each of you take a stack to spend as you like."
He motioned with his hand, and his bodyguard handed over a briefcase full of cash.
The women let out ecstatic screams. "Thank you, President Yang!"
Only Jinjin remained perched coyly in her chair, continuously giving him seductive glances, causing a tingling sensation to spread over Yang Jinyu.
"President Yang, would you like to go upstairs for a drink?"
Her initiative made the smile at the corner of Yang Jinyu’s mouth deepen. "It seems Miss Jinjin desires something more, something greater, and more long-term!"
Jinjin stepped forward, showing off her long legs without reservation. "Of course, one should always look to the long term, whether in love or business. The same principle applies—if you don’t give someone a chance, you might regret it for life."
"What are you implying?"
Wrapping an arm around the woman’s slender waist, Yang Jinyu pulled her into his embrace. His smile didn’t reach his eyes as he said, "Speak! What is it you want to do?"
"Obviously, something that makes us both happy."
Jinjin stood up and, grabbing Yang Jinyu by his tie, pulled him upstairs.
His bodyguards followed.
Yang Jinyu said icily, "Unless I order it, no one is allowed upstairs."
The bodyguards exchanged confused glances.
"What? Are you disobeying my orders now?"
"Not at all! Please, as you wish, President Yang."
Yang Jinyu snorted coldly, ascending the stairs with his arm around Jinjin’s waist.
Upon reaching the third floor, he pushed Jinjin away fiercely. "Alright, everyone’s gone now. No need to keep up the act."
Jinjin awkwardly tugged at the corner of her mouth.
CLAP, CLAP, CLAP—
Jian Xi and Wan Yu emerged, clapping their hands.
"That’s impressive. It seems President Yang detected something was amiss from the moment he entered. You played along beautifully, shaking off Fu Wenxin’s spies, and clearly, you understand that Jian Group is a more valuable partner for collaboration!"
Wan Yu gave Jinjin a meaningful look, and Jinjin nodded before excusing herself.
"Miss Wan commands legions of loyal and beautiful women. It seems Beijing is truly on the verge of a major shift. In just a few short years, New Fashion Media, a company that started as a talent agency, has become so powerful. Making moves right under Tianyao Group’s nose—aren’t you afraid of the Fu Family seeking revenge?"
"Instead of threatening me, President Yang, you should consider how we can achieve a win-win cooperation! I, Wan Yu, have never feared anyone since the day I was born, especially not a despicable and shameless old scoundrel like Fu Wenxin!"
The thought of Fu Wenxin harming Xixi filled Wan Yu with such rage she wished she could kill that old scoundrel.
"Ha-ha-ha! ’Old scoundrel!’ You’re one of the very few who dare to call Fu Wenxin that. Truly a rare one!"
Yang Jinyu made himself comfortable on the sofa, poured himself a glass of red wine, took a sip, and nodded. "Now, tell me. After going to such lengths to bring me here and isolate me from the outside world, what new pitch do you have to persuade me?"
"No platitudes, only sincerity."
Jian Xi, having done her homework, pulled out a document.
"Profit-sharing and commissions are the cornerstones of our collaboration. More importantly, I can help you break free from Fu Wenxin’s control. A man of your outstanding abilities, President Yang, wouldn’t want to become a puppet after just one deal, would he?"
"If Fu Wenxin dares to treat you this way now, imagine how much tighter his control would become if you were to actually collaborate! By then, wouldn’t Zhuoyue Technology just end up like the last two of Beijing’s Ten Great Families—swallowed whole?"
"President Yang, you’ve poured your heart and soul into this transformation, strategizing intensely. Wouldn’t it be unbearable to see it all snuffed out with a mere flick of a finger?"
"By partnering with Jian Group, you’ll benefit from our successful precedent: our transition from tourism and construction to chip research and manufacturing. This experience will help you achieve double the results with half the effort, ensuring you accomplish your aspirations."
Jian Xi hadn’t been idle during her recent days at the hospital. She devised a feasibility development report for Zhuoyue Technology. This report included a transformation implementation plan, detailing the substantial support and assistance Jian Group could provide.
"We are very much looking forward to a healthy development with Zhuoyue Technology, especially with the addition of our brilliant chip research genius, Luo You."
"With Luo You, there will be a second generation, a third, and even more. Cooperate with Jian Group. I promise you, in the name of the Jian Family, that in the future, Jian Group will prioritize ongoing cooperation for any of Zhuoyue Technology’s needs."
Yang Jinyu’s eyes finally lit up.
"Miss Jian, you’re quite daring."
Luo You was indeed Jian Group’s hope. That much was true.
The great achievements he had made for Haohan Group were there for all to see.
The creation of a single chip propelled Haohan Group to become the nation’s top conglomerate—a feat few could achieve.
Jian Group might truly become the next Haohan Empire...
"I will think about it."
Yang Jinyu hesitated for a moment before speaking in a reserved manner.
"Good. I look forward to working with you."
Jian Xi did not press further.
She left through the back door with Wan Yu, leaving everything else for Jinjin to handle.
Wan Yu was puzzled. "You had the contract with you. Why didn’t you close the deal right then and there? What if something changes?"
"My dear young lady, have you forgotten what Yang Jinyu is currently facing?"
Jian Xi tapped her on the head.
Wan Yu had an epiphany. "Exactly! If Fu Wenxin pressures him, and you pressure him too, it will only backfire. Our job now is to pressure Fu Wenxin until he snaps. Then, when Yang Jinyu finally rebels, ha-ha, everything will fall into place! Xixi, you’re brilliant!"
Jian Xi cracked a smile.
These were all tactics Si Yuhuan frequently employed. To think I’ve achieved so much by learning just a fraction of them!
That guy... what on earth is he up to!
"Yuyu, I’ll leave the rest to you. I’ll have Secretary Lin assist you in pressuring Fu Wenxin. Once he loses control, we can just sit back and reap the rewards."
Wan Yu sighed. "I just hope there are no more complications and everything proceeds smoothly."
Jian Xi smiled faintly. "It will."
...
After returning home, Jian Xi called Si Yuhuan several more times.
Her brother didn’t answer, and neither did Si Yuhuan.
On a whim, she turned to Huang Ying.
"Song Xicheng is with them. Can you get in touch with him?"
Huang Ying seemed busy with something; the sound of rustling papers came through the phone. "You still haven’t contacted Si Yuhuan?"
Jian Xi blushed slightly.
"Oh, come on, there’s no need to be so formal with me! Leave it to me. I’ll call Song Xicheng, though I’m not sure that jerk will even answer."
After hanging up, Jian Xi waited anxiously, her heart restless.
「Ten minutes later.」
"Damn it, I can’t get through to his phone."
"What? You can’t get through to any of them?"
Jian Xi fell into a panic.
She had never heard of a bidding process where everyone involved vanished without a trace. This gave her a terrible premonition.
