[Hey Elena!! I need some help here!!] Kaelith sends me a telepathic message, her voice sounds anxious and nervous, you can tell by her tone that her magic has probably run out and now she's having trouble, after all we've been fighting for days with few breaks that don't give us time to recover.
[Sorry...I'm not much better than you...I can't go, ask Calypso for help, she should be free] I say while striking an angel with [Jupiter] in the form of a sword, cutting the angel's wing, which is very debilitated.
'...'
"Haa...Haaa..." I breathe heavily, tired. I've been fighting this angel for days without stopping, things have gotten more complicated than I expected. I managed to kill 1 of the angels, but this angel in front of me is very strong.
I'm full of wounds and quite tired, at this rate I'll probably spend the phoenix's blessing soon, things have deteriorated too quickly, it's not that I can't lead well, it's that I don't have the conditions to lead well.
Because I'm spending all my time and abilities facing the angels, which forces Calypso or Kaelith to lead certain parts while I focus on the fight.
"...?" The angel suddenly stops moving completely, I'm confused and on alert, thinking what it's going to do now, fearful that it's some kind of problematic magic or ability, but it doesn't move.
"Buuu"
"KYAA!!" I jump back when someone suddenly grabs my waist, and I see Pandora with a little smile.
"T-Tsk!! D-Don't do that again! Do you want to give me a heart attack..." I say collapsing on the ground without having sensed her presence, I calm down knowing the angel won't attack anymore since Pandora is here.
"Hahahaha your look of terror is funny, did you miss me?" She asks while looking around the battlefield, which is a mess, her gaze is hungry to see so much blood and flesh on the ground.
"You weren't as good as I expected" She gives a harsh blow to my self-esteem, turning her attention back to me.
"Sorry...I tried to lead well, but I've never had to lead so many people and still fight..." I apologize for that, I should have handled everything better after trying so hard.
"No problem, you did well in holding the humans at the border, I didn't really want them to advance since it would be more work to expel them if they were inside my territory"
"The angels...were pretty strong, huh?" She asks me, and I nod in agreement.
"I'm even surprised, you know Elena? I knew they were a little tough, but they exceeded my general expectations...of course, considering I was there to adjust their project, it makes sense, I'm very talented" She boasts while extending her hand to me.
"You're pretty hurt and...this armor...looks good on you" She says with an almost devilishly sweet smile while staring at my armor.
"Thank you...it's my strategic kit for fighting against strong people, and this is my weapon" I say showing [Jupiter] with pride.
"Hmm...Freya and I have already managed to expel the humans from the continent's coast, and now they will be killed by Delphina's divine beast..." She says, biting her lips hard, I think Pandora didn't want to receive help from Delphina.
'She's always so proud...' It's not a problem yet, but Pandora clearly isn't good at accepting help, always wanting to do everything herself, and it always puts her at risk. I wish she trusted the people around her more to help her.
"Anyway, Elena, shall we expel the humans from here soon? I don't want these trash contaminating my territory anymore, after expelling them, we'll wait for all the troops to arrive here completely and advance into human territory."
"Already? So soon?" I say a bit nervous, things are moving too fast, I thought she would return to the kingdom and readjust everything before trying to advance against the humans.
"Yes, we won't stop now, we'll keep moving forward, I've already studied the human kingdom and its structure well, I know how to reach the main kingdom without too many problems."
"Although the web-like structure they've built with the surrounding kingdoms is useful, I found a flaw in their apparently perfect structure."
"Curious? It's not that hard to think about, Elena. I admit that the kingdom's structure of using the surrounding kingdoms as a shield, forming a spider web, is incredible...but it has its flaws. The first is that it isolates the main kingdom in the center of the web, making it impossible for them to flee."
"In other words, they are forced to stay where they are and rely on the fact that the enemy army will be worn down by invading and going through several kingdoms, along with the difficulty of obtaining resources due to being surrounded by enemies."
"However, the weakness of this formation is the same as a normal spider web, a bird flying in a straight line would open a hole, because it is large and the web is fragile to its strength."
"That simplifies things, doesn't it? We just need to literally 'create' a hole in a straight line, piercing through all the kingdoms in front of us while marching our army through that path."
"And guess who has enough power to do this without too much cost?" She says with a diabolical smile.
"Oh...how...ingenious! Using magic to do this would be very costly! But you've already said you have a shadow ability that doesn't cost any mana, you just need to create a giant monster that will form this straight line!" I say as she gives a gentle smile.
"That's right, I'll create a giant shark and make it walk in a straight line, devouring everything in its path, be it human, houses, buildings, and even castles that are in the way. It will probably be the biggest shadow I've ever created." She admits while looking around.
"We should go see Kaelith, she seems to be having trouble." She starts walking, while we continue to discuss her plan.
"Pandora, how will you deal with enemy soldiers in the way?" I ask, trying to see how we'll handle that.
"Well, considering my strength and the size of the shark, there won't be any soldiers in front of us that can stop the shark, but...we'll be attacked from the sides of the path without a doubt."
"That's why I plan to generate shadow monsters all along the way, I'll also use my demon king authority to force any nearby monsters to follow us and start invading the cities."
"After all, I'm the demon king, my army has never been limited to just demons, since I can control weaker monsters than me." She makes a point I had forgotten.
'Yes...she can control monsters...this...can work.' Pandora is always very intuitive, but she doesn't seem to have as much power as she should at the moment, I notice this because the aura around her is weaker and less oppressive.
'She's injured...she can't hide that from me.' I know her well, I've been taking care of her since she hatched from that egg, looking for food.
This makes me tense and bothered, she still wants to participate in the war even though she's not well enough for it. Besides this arm covered in darkness, Pandora hates armor.
She also hates wearing "extra" clothes beyond what she normally wears, for example, she never covers her tail with any clothes, even though her tail is like an intimate part.
It gets worse with armor, she only uses it in very specific situations, because she doesn't like how armor interferes with her natural mobility and flexibility. That's why I know she would never wear a "armor" just on her arm.
Since besides her disliking using this kind of thing, she would never wear a single piece of armor, because she prefers not to use relics or things that give her a power she considers not her own.
'What is she hiding?' I stare at her arm as we walk through the battlefield, she notices my gaze, but doesn't say anything as we reach Kaelith, who is having trouble fighting a human.
'It's that human who gave me trouble before!' It's that miserable one, it seems he made it out alive in the end.
Kaelith had been fighting an angel for a while, so she must be exhausted, and without any magic left, so she can't beat this human, but Kaelith notices me and Pandora as the human doesn't notice our approach.
Pandora stealthily approaches and strikes the human in the back, piercing his head and killing him.
'She...makes it look so easy...that little girl I could have beaten in a duel has grown so much.' I feel a mix of pride and admiration for her.
"Kaelith having trouble with a human...it's complicated, huh." Pandora seemed like she was going to insult Kaelith, but she must have remembered that she had fought Mikael Calamitas, who is a human, and reduced the insult.
"Y-Your Majesty, I apologize for this failure!!" Kaelith says with a perverted smile on her face, as if expecting to be beaten right now, Pandora just rolls her eyes.
"It's okay, anyway, go get Calypso, we're going to gather and expel the humans from here soon." Pandora tells Kaelith, who gives a huge smile.
"Right away, Your Majesty!!!" She says, all excited about Pandora, who approves.
"Elena, take me to the tent where the crystal is, I want to see how our defenses are doing before we start advancing, after all I need to make sure the barrier is doing well." Pandora immediately takes charge.
"Also, I'm going to take control of 70% of the troops, you'll get 20%, and Kaelith and Calypso will share the rest." I immediately agree, giving her full command.
