Chapter 355: Chapter 355. It begins

" So, how does the plan we came up with come into play here?"

Kailen asked the question on everyone’s mind.

The previous plan has been scheduled with the previous society wars in mind, factoring possible scenarios where each of the the daunting regions of the academy could have been chosen for the society wars.

But now that they had been introduced to a completely different and unexpected scenario, a secret realm teeming with unknown threats and unpredictable dangers lurking everywhere, would their initial plan actually work?

Everlong couldn’t help but shake her head with a small sigh.

" I hate to admit, and I stand to be corrected when I say this, but the previous plan based on the different scenarios from the previous society wars won’t work here.

We need to come up with a new plan."

Everyone nodded in agreement with Everlong’s words. Kailen had asked her purely out of curiosity to see her response.

However he was already thinking along the same lines. The previous plan wouldn’t work.

As always, life was unpredictable and they needed a new plan.

Kailen said, " From the map, we can see the location of various participants. it’s normal that other societies will target the Atrexia society.

Zarek just sent me a message through my Id slot that he can handle things at his end till we are able to meet up. We should focus on racking points as much as we can while we converge with them."

The members of the society listened with understanding.

Kailen pointed on the map on the holographic screen — not just in front of him but in front of everyone who had also accessed the map — containing the various positions of the other societies and their members showed in the form of dots and map symbols.

He added with calm scrutiny, " You can see the various dots heading towards our location."

Kailen layered with preternatural certainly. No one knew how he was so sure, but only Kailen knew the secret scouting his shadow creatures were doing.

" The unidentified dots are spawned creatures of the secret realm that have detected our life force."

Several society members felt a chill creep up their spine at those words.

Spawned creatures of the secret realm? Coming for them? Just now?

They had not even spent an hour in the secret realm and the secret realm was not even giving them a fucking break? Damn!

Kailen’s gaze swept across the faces of his society members. Through emotional resonance, their emotions were like an open book, even that of the ones who masked them with uncanny confidence.

Fear, mostly, was predominant on several faces.

They couldn’t be blamed.

Death was death.

But, they needed to be forged here.

He had plans for the Sword Tribunal Society. Plans that steered deeply into his future plans.

And they couldn’t be full of weaklings.

This was the perfect place to get rid of that.

By the end of these fourteen days,

They’d be different from what they are, hopefully..

He started handing out tasks. " Anaya, you are in charge of the rune inscribed weapons, both the ones bought from academy stores, and Esimo’s weapons on which runes were inscribed.

Utilize them efficiently alongside the division under you to set traps, weaken and kill the members of the other societies and the spawned creatures. Everlong ,you and your division are in charge of long range attacks. Secure the best terrain to attack enemies and lure stronger ones you can’t kill into Anaya’s traps"

Anaya and Everlong quickly nodded, then got to work.

On hearing Kailen give orders to Anaya and Everlong, Esimo couldn’t help but recall a few weeks back when Kailen told him in his forge that he was cooking up a plan that included his weapons.

So this was what he meant by that... This guy could actually come up with a back up plan that could work in case the actual plan they came up could not be utilized in the society wars.

No ,most importantly, he had been sharp enough to anticipate that things may not go as planned.

This guy , how the hell was he this terrifying? Wasn’t his foresight and deduction too serious?

This bastard faked his age right?

He was not really seventeen years old.

Nah! To hell with that!

Oblivious to Esimo’s inner monologue, Kailen handed out the next order.

" Pan, you are in charge of the alchemical products. Utilize them efficiently. Alongside the division under you, be efficient in handing out universe energy recovery elixirs and healing elixirs most especially to the society members in times of need — when they run out of their reserves of the said utilities.

Since we do not have many healers among us, your efficiency in fulfilling this task will be very important."

Pan nodded.

He turned towards Esimo,Lian Yu and Miranda. "Go on the offensive completely, you and your units."

The trio nodded in understanding.

After that he addressed the society members, enigmatic dark eyes flickering with ruthlessness.

" Remember, any moment you hesitate to end your enemy could be your last breath."

His words made it clear.

They had themselves to rely on at the moment.

Whether or not he would step in was a mystery.

And even if he would, any moment wasted before he did so could spell their end.

They were to approach this from the perspective of not having Kailen to rely on.

With that, Kailen disappeared, leaving the society members to the dangers of the secret realm, and the gazes of several multitudes across the empire.

Kailen appeared in a different spot in the secret realm after using umbral replacement — above a forest, gaze distant, as if he could peer through every machination against him.

He looked through the eyes of his shadow creatures.

The ones that had secretly followed the society presidents through their various teleportation portals.

He could see them all. Riba Harker, Xyra Ashton, Tyrax Tantamount, Dahlia Covern, Bryce Darkhaven.

They were... playing it safe.

Observing the secret realm, plotting their movements, with the temporal alliance.

They were communicating with one another through video calls with id slots, which were allowed in the society wars, obviously, for possible communications long distance in case of alliances.

Then they made a plan.

They’d kill their way through the secret realm — hunt spawned creatures, but they won’t attack each other’s members — at least that could wait until after they’ve gotten rid of Kailen Darkhaven and the Sword Tribunal Society.

As they hunted, they’d converge around the Sword Tribunal and the Atrexia society, and get rid of them, and after that, they’d turn on one another.

" Not yet. Too early to end things. Let’s let the members of the Sword Tribunal Society hone themselves and have their moments.

If I end everything now, that won’t be possible. Let’s let these society president bastards think they’ll have the last laugh, for now.

Time to check on how Zarek and my society members are doing. After that, I will begin some small scale hunting of spawned creatures myself"
