Chapter 388: Chapter 388: She Has Already Left
Summer Sutton had been in the room for quite a while.
With her temper, normally she would have left immediately when told to go.
But today, she suddenly thought of Adrian Walyon.
If she couldn’t find evidence for herself this time, what would she do?
The Walyon Family couldn’t accommodate her, would Adrian be sad, would he feel hurt if she left?
Summer stood stiffly in place, unmoving.
It seemed Bryce Walyon was afraid Adrian would come back, causing a scene, so someone was sent to hasten her departure.
"Young Madam, please leave! We’ve already packed a box for you." A servant stood at the door, carrying the suitcase over directly.
They were rushing her to leave!
Summer wasn’t the type to linger where she wasn’t wanted. Since they were kicking her out, she couldn’t possibly stay.
Dragging her suitcase, she headed downstairs with her head down.
As she entered the hall, Old Master Walyon happened to be there.
"Grandfather, whether you believe it or not, I didn’t push that person!" Summer turned her head to glance at him, defending herself one last time before walking quickly towards the Walyon Family’s entrance.
She walked briskly, as if worried she might linger with attachment to this home if she slowed down.
After leaving the Walyon Family, she walked alone on the road for a long while, reached a spot to hail a cab, and got into one.
"Miss, where to?" the driver turned his head to ask.
Summer was rendered speechless by the question.
It was summer break, and there was no one at school.
Apart from school, after leaving the Walyon Family, she really didn’t know where to go...
She fell silent for a long time after the driver’s question before lifting her face, "Just drive anywhere! Just somewhere far from here."
The driver thought her words were particularly strange but didn’t ask further.
The car slowly started up, getting further and further from the Walyon Family in the night.
...
Adrian Walyon had been busy at the police station all evening for Summer Sutton’s sake.
When he returned, it was ten o’clock.
He pushed open the bedroom door, and the room was empty, with no sign of Summer Sutton.
He rushed downstairs, but she wasn’t there either.
After searching the entire house and still not seeing her, his heart sank.
The servant, seeing him in a rush, reminded him, "Young Master, the Young Madam has been gone for quite a while."
Adrian shot a sharp glance at her, "What did you say?"
"I said, the Young Madam left with her suitcase several hours ago." The servant looked at him cautiously, lowering her voice.
Adrian was stunned for a moment, almost without thinking, he turned and headed straight for the Old Master’s room.
With a bang, he pushed open the old man’s door, demanding with a stern face, "What did you do to Summer?"
His gaze was sharp, not at all like speaking to an elder.
The Old Master was particularly displeased with his manner of speaking and even more displeased that he talked to him like that because of a woman.
"What? Can’t I do anything to her? For the matter of two lives, not making her pay with her life or face life imprisonment is already the greatest mercy from the Walyon Family!"
"So, you drove her out?" Adrian sneered coldly, sarcastically pushing further.
"So what if I did?" The Old Master didn’t deny it.
Adrian didn’t bother to linger and turned to head downstairs, but the Old Master shouted at him to stop, "Stay put! You are not allowed to look for her!"
Adrian slowly turned his face towards him, his gaze cold, "Give me a reason?"
"Just because she’s already disturbed the Walyon Family’s peace, and the Walyon Family can’t accommodate her!" The Old Master stomped his cane, his anger flaring up.
