After they agreed, they entered the crucible at the same time before scattering in five different directions. As they expected, those spectral beasts also scattered to chase them.
Like their original plan, Jian Kuang and the others did not attack or kill the spectral beasts, and they only defended against the beasts’ attacks while running away.
However, Zhang Fei [5] saw that some of the spectral beasts were not chasing Jia Xianzu and the others; instead, they floated before the Moon Flame to guard it.
Since he couldn’t use the Demon Extermination Sword because his real body was using it to fight those bloodthirsty demon beasts, Zhang Fei [5] chose to use the Abyss Demon Halberd. After that, he teleported before those spectral beasts, which immediately attacked him with a torrent of poison.

Zhang Fei [5] did not immediately answer her; instead, he dodged the spectral beasts attacking from below, which then flew up to hover between him and the Moon Flame’s spirit. "As expected! They’re here to protect you, huh?"
"Humph!" The woman snorted at Zhang Fei [5]. "Their souls belong to members of the Silver Moon Race who died in the past, and they chose to protect me after their death because I was the most important treasure in their race. Now tell me, who are you? Why do you want to take my flame?"
Zhang Fei [5] transformed into his complete fox form with nine tails dancing behind him, leaving the woman stunned for a moment. However, she was shocked when ten flames appeared around him, and she could immediately recognize them.
"The Phoenix Flame, the Soul Flame, the Dragon Flame, the Sky Flame, the Earth Flame, the Blood Flame, and the Eternal Flame." The woman then looked at the other three. "The Golden Crow Flame, the Vermilion Flame, and the Icy Cold Flame."
