Chapter 1268: Run Away
’We should leave.’ Nalan Wangzi spoke through voice transmission.
Zhang Fei agreed with Nalan Wangzi and wanted to take her away, but countless tree roots quickly emerged from the ground and trapped the two of them. They looked up at the Blood Tree King, who looked down at them.
’Crap!’ Nalan Wangzi inwardly cursed.
Unlike her, Zhang Fei still relaxed under the pressure of the Blood Tree King. He used tree control and plant manipulation, which he mimicked from Janette and Lillea long ago, to remove those tree roots.

The Blood Tree King released a furious roar because its attacks failed to hit them. It summoned those powerful bloodthirsty demon beasts to hunt the two, and some of them immediately flew after them.
The Blood Tree King also tried to block them from escaping, but Zhang Fei’s three abilities prevented it from attacking them, causing it to become even more furious.
"Why didn’t you use those abilities from the start, brother-in-law?" Nalan Wangzi asked in an annoyed tone.
Zhang Fei kept teleporting to avoid the pursuit of those powerful bloodthirsty demon beasts. "If I had used them from the start, the Blood Tree King would have noticed us, and it would have attacked us long ago."
Nalan Wangzi nodded slightly. "How did you come to possess the abilities of the Dryad Race?"
