To continue to make up for it ***

Ash had his work cut out for him. He packed up the necessities, and some of Violet’s last worn clothes, hoping to keep her scent for just a little longer. He sprayed their pillows with her perfume. Desperate to feel close to her again. His heart ached missing her.

I packed just Violet’s things. Her scent on her things at the castle would have faded away by now. And he had everything he needed there. Ash was ready long before Lilith and the Leviathan were.

He pulled out his phone and dialed Arya. Her phone rang and rang, and just like usual she didn’t answer.

He decided to leave without her. Getting in one of the cars, he had the driver bring him to the airport.

And as the trees passed him by, the world blurry. His thoughts drifted back to Violet.

Violet was struggling in the cage Ezelreth had put her in. Forced to watch as he took life after life, turning people into mindless zombie like bloodsuckers. All shreds of their humanity stripped from them.

She was mad at herself, but she was going to use that energy, she was working tirelessly on a plan, an escape, away to get him out of her head.

This was her body, maybe she could get share in the energy he was all but stealing from these mortals.

She’d have to wait until he took a rest. He wasn’t in full power and Violet still had fight left in her. So he would need rest and that’s when she would take over. Strength her soul. Do it by healing. Like she’s always done.

Now unclouded by hate and evil she might be able to soothe and nurture, instead of drain and devour and break.

The minute she was able to take charge she’d try. She’d visit a hospital. Or she could go to an orphanage. She had one placed in every city that housed vampire clans. She could feed off the children and bring them joy.

She had a plan; she’d do the orphanage.

She decided she wouldn’t surrender.

She thought of a loophole in the deal. There was no time duration specification. It can equally bite them both in the ass.

She could do this.

And Odette. Her daughter. Was destined to deal with this.

Violet had faith. Her daughter would succeed. She would bind him.

Violet couldn’t let Ezelreth know she had a goal, so she quickly masked her feelings, thinking about how she missed her family. the sadness came rushing in.

But this time, it a different kind of hollow, it was calculated, detached and that Ezelreth didn’t miss. But figured it was because she was so weak she had lost hope. So instead of being suspicious this only fed his ego secured his victory in his mind.

Violet’s plotting had started and soon it would be in action. It would be a short time. But she could make her way to a coffee shop. Enjoy the simple things. And that would be believable. She just had to mask and pretend perfectly.

She could do this. She would help Odette from inside the enemy. Take him down from both ends.

Ezelreth feeling good admire his handy work. He had built quite the army overnight. He had taken every single houseless person and Turned them. 1000’s of people laid in a warehouse. Windows bored up making the place pitch black, and Violet was surprised by how perfectly clear her vision was. She’d never had such night vision. Despite her hatred for Ezelreth, she would never admit it, but this was cool. Seeing in the dark, the colors were a little different, they had darker colors. But still clear like it was daylight.

He decided now would be a good time to rest and meditate, focus on his reconnection to life.

"I’m not staying here; I’m going to get coffee. It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed anything normal, and while I still have some control over my body, let me enjoy sweets and coffee. Be heartless and just don’t care. Or care enough to wish you were allowed a cup of coffee before you were sealed away." Violet held her ground and stood firm on her stance.

"The body needs to rest." Ezelreth rebutted.

"No. I will take my body to a coffee shop for a tea cake and coffee. Period." Violet was being more defiant then she’s ever been.

Ezelreth raised an eyebrow, questioning of the legitimacy of her claim.

"Just the coffee and treat?" He asked.

"Yes." She wasn’t completely lying, he didn’t ask where she would get coffee. She thought she was clever. And Ezelreth though skeptical reluctantly agreed.

He hated the species here. They were all two faced and betrayers.

Except he could admit, Violet was different. She lived a life of genuine saint hood. She never had any real ulterior motives. So this time he didn’t think it would be different.

She fooled him because he reluctantly agreed.

She smiled sweetly trying to maintain her composure because the excitement was boiling over.

Ezelreth did his rounds wandering the warehouse. Checking the windows and the doors. The Turned laid in perfect stillness in straight lines, they barely looked human at this point.

"You can go; I’m turning in." Ezelreth yawned and walked to the back of her mind, opened a door and left. Leave the space hers to control again. it felt weird to be back. Weird in a good way. She immediately took off, leaving through a back door connected to a back room, which kept sunlight from reaching inside the warehouse.

She booked it. Taking a car that one of the houseless were living in before this and took off to find the location of the orphanage.
