Chapter 2630: Four Demonic Generals Nuba II
The ground rumbled and cracked as a powerful geyser burst forth from below the depths. The geyser took the Goddess Nuba by surprise and doused her with its powerful pressure. The sudden mixture of cold water and extreme heat from the Goddess Nuba created a steam explosion in her vicinity. This also made lots of water vapor that covered the sky in dark clouds as a result.
The area where the Goddess Nuba was is not the only area that got affected by the powerful geyser. There were smaller geysers that sprung forth as well which cooled down the area and made all of those suffering from the heat have some time to cooldown. Altum got blasted by a small geyser directly and his shriveled-up appearance became smooth once again. He recovered all of the moisture that he lost from his body with a spell that cost him half his mana.
"I had to draw water from the depths of the earth which is why it took a long time but now I can fight again." Altum stated as he grabbed his anchor once again.
"I really thought that you would actually die there." Amelia stated.
"Aww! You actually care for me. I am touched." Altum stated in a teasing manner which made Amelia step back a bit from him as he started to do this cute but weird dance.
"Focus. She is not yet down." Vayu stated as he retreated back to the group.
Vayu and Blade along with the Murim Alliance members that joined them all gathered behind Soleil. She was the only one that protected them from the steam explosion which saved them from having their faces melted off. The steam explosion created a vast coverage of water vapor that covered the area to almost zero visibility.
Vayu used his blade and blew the entire water vapor that limited vision to reveal the large black skeleton that is now currently without flames. It looked like the Goddess Nuba was incapacitated as she took a lot of damage from the geyser ad the steam explosion. One would think that she was stunned but her deep black eye sockets on the skull suddenly exploded with fire once more.
The sudden blazing eyes and feral scream from her made the area shake as she became angrier than ever. The Goddess Nuba blazed once more but this time her flames took on a darker shade as if miasma is now tainting it. Soleil is the first to notice because the flames that the opponent is using is no longer natural. The flames around the Goddess Nuba contained mana that is filled with resentment and evil.
"She truly lost her mind! We must escape!" The revived fallen gods shouted as the Goddess Nuba no longer held them in the area.
The revived fallen gods had no choice but to fight earlier because they are bound by servitude. Now that the Goddess Nuba lost her mind, the spell that bound them has been lifted as the Goddess Nuba no longer cared about them. Seeing that they will only get hurt in the fight before them, the revived fallen gods decided to retreat.
"You can chase them. We will deal with that thing." Vayu stated as the current warriors from the Murim Alliance that they have are not equipped to fight with a flaming evil goddess. They are better off capturing or subduing the other members of the enemy army.
"Squads 2 and 3 will go in pursuit of the others. Squad 1 will stay and support the heroes. This is an order from our side should something like this happen." The Squad One Leader stated as she is one of the NPCs not affected as much by the heat as she seems to be using a sword style that has the ice element.
"Yes, Squad One Leader! We shall await your victory against the giantess." The Squad Two and Squad Three Leaders stated as they chased the escaping enemies.
The Goddess Nuba took note of the leaving squadron as she suddenly fired off a powerful laser beam that contained flaming miasma. Even Soleil was shocked by this as, but she managed to immediately react to block the laser beam that came out of the mouth of the Goddess Nuba. Even with Soleil’s powerful barrier, the attack of the Goddess Nuba actually went through and blew Soleil away which led to the attack continuing.
"I can fight beam for beam! Taste my LAZER!" Amelia shouted as she summoned a squadron of robots that formed to make a large cannon that fired off an electrical beam that collided with the flaming miasma beam that the Goddess Nuba used.
The two beams collided with one another and cancelled each other out which made the Goddess Nuba angrier. The Goddess Nuba then proceeded to charge with her dark flaming body since her long-ranged attacks did not work. Her speed was great to the point that she was able to traverse ten meters in a few seconds. Vayu and Blade readied their weapons as they planned to clash with the goddess, but it was a giant anchor that met the skull of the goddess first.
The gigantic anchor that Altum wielded grew in size as it became five meters long. The anchor is not the only thing that grew in size as Altum also changed form to a more muscular fishman that could easily choke a normal human. The Goddess Nuba might create heat around her, but she was unable to stop the water gushing from below which is what Altum needs to empower himself.
Altum now grew to the size of roughly four meters while swinging a massive anchor that is bigger than himself. The large anchor collided with the charred skull of the Goddess Nuba and knocked back the latter by a few meters. This made the powerful charge that the Goddess Nuba used become halted, but Altum is not done. He gripped the chain on his anchor and swung it against the Goddess Nuba while creating a powerful cold energy that directly hit the chin of the enemy.
