Chapter 2633: Four Demonic Generals Izanagi I
"Kuwah!" The Ascendant Immortal grunted as the spear that pierced his chest was lifted.
The God Izanagi has chosen a village close to the last one that he made submit. Unlike the village that he conquered earlier, this one is actually defended by the Murim Alliance. The Murim Alliance is defending this village because there is an anomalous dungeon located near here. This anomalous dungeon also creates monsters that drops stones that contain small amounts of internal energy hence the guards.
"If no one wants to submit then kill all of them. All of them will be killed and none shall be spared. This will serve as a warning to those that even attempt to defy us." The Izanagi stated as he swung his spear to cleave the entire village in half, but he stopped as a pillar of light suddenly descended onto the village gate and blocked his attack.
"He is such a showoff sometimes." Basil stated as she was inside that light pillar.
"Let him have his fun because he cannot do that normally when the guild leader is present." Pana stated as he chuckled.
"I am not competing with the guild leader though. His aura is so thick that just being next to him automatically makes you look uncool." Ark stated which made Basil and Pana laugh.
"Please focus on the task at hand. We are not really in safe hands after all." Musika stated as she was the serious one on the group and is actually paired with them to control their antics a bit as Pana also loses his cool side when with his friends.
"Sorry." Ark, Pana, and Basil stated simultaneously as they were surrounded by the revived fallen gods that are under Izanagi.
"Why is a Celestial, a dragon, and a cursed elf doing here in the eastern continent?" Izanagi stated as he pointed his spear towards the group.
"He actually disregarded your existence, big sis." Basil stated as Musika was basically overlooked by Izanagi.
"I do not really care for beings that have failed to become gods again." Musika stated which made Izanagi’s eyebrow twitch and touched on his bad side.
Izanagi hearing what the bard said to him immediately launched a preemptive spear wave towards Musika as he wanted to kill her. Musika did not flinch at the sudden attack because she summoned her harp and pluck it to play a note. The note created a powerful reverberation that generated a vibration field that cancelled out the spear wave that Izanagi released.
"A Muse!" Izanagi stated in shock as he knows of their existence.
Izanagi did not believe that a Muse is actually present in the eastern continent as they were beings that taught the first String Immortals. All of the immortals that practiced the Dao of Sound are all taught by the Muses that once visited the eastern continent. It was the few Martial Arts that revolved around an intangible power that could fundamentally change the world.
"Oh! You know of my race?!" Musika stated as she rarely talked about her race as she worked hard to get it. A special race that could perceive sound as a physical entity and mold it to their preferences. This is the Muse Race that has the blood of the gods as they are considered a subset of demigods.
"Kill the rest but capture the Muse. She would be helpful in freeing us from the curse that the Corrupted Huanglong subjected us to." Izanagi stated as he forgot about the Corpse Arts user in the north that he was about to find because an even better being suddenly appeared before him.
"Now, he is the one ignoring us. Teach them a lesson, my babies!" Basil pouted as she could no longer tolerate the disrespect even for an NPC.
Three small lizards suddenly came out of the robes that Basil wore and then jumped to the sky. As soon as she commanded them to attack, the morphed dragons reformed to their true sizes which dwarfed all of the beings that are around them. A dragon that looked like lava is flowing down its body, a dragon that crackles like lightning, and a dragon that is blood red in liquid form that is the smallest of the three.
All three of Basil’s dragons might not be fully grow but they are three times bigger than an average man. They also contain tons of mana that could easily destroy the area they are in if they are not careful. The sudden appearance of three powerful true dragons made the revived fallen gods tremble. Even they know that dragons can equal the power of a god when they are raised correctly and depending on their bloodline.
"Attack!" Izanagi commanded even though his subordinates did not want to move.
The revived fallen gods that followed Izanagi could only charge forward to attack as they could not go against his wishes. He did not specify how they should go about their attack as long as they would target the three beings. Izanagi did not jump into the battle as he would want to see the abilities of the beings that suddenly appeared before him. He would rather have his subordinates became fodder for his victory.
"Such cruelty. He did not even want to join his comrades in battle as he wants to observe what we could do. A little support for our side, Lady Musika. We would need to separate them and clean the enemies accordingly." Pana stated as he already deduced what Izanagi is thinking off.
"As you wish. Rhapsody Splicing!" Musika stated with a nod as she strung her harp and she released a powerful frequency that created a split between the groups.
The frequency was so intense that it became visible to the naked eye as the enemies were divided into three sections. One section is where Pana and Musika is located but the former would be the one dealing with the revived fallen gods. Musika is currently maintaining this sectioned battlefield and should not be disturbed as it would render the ability useless.
Basil got more of the revived fallen gods as she has three true dragons under her. The three true dragons even talked to one another and challenged each other on who will kill more. They all wanted the attention and pampering of their mother as this would be the reward of the winner. Solo time with Basil is the most important reward for these dragons after all.
"It seems that you are meant to fight me, Celestial. Even if you are made of light, you will fall under my spear that could destroy even energy. You should help your allies as I will not interfere. Only when you defeated all of them are all of your worthy to challenge me." Izanagi stated as Ark was the only one tasked with fighting against the former.
"Is it a prerequisite for good for nothing gods to be conceited and overconfident in their abilities? Also, I am not a Celestial as that term is only reserved for angels. I am a Nephilim!" Ark stated as he revealed his wings that has one set of angel wings and the other devil wings.
"I thought abominations like you were wiped out by the Celestials. It seems that they did not clean up well enough. To think that useless goddess of light, Luminaria, did not even do a good job when she traded us such valuable materials to kill those with Infernal blood (devil blood).
Ark was a bit taken aback by what he heard but he did not waste time as he charged towards Izanagi with his light sword. Ark was quick as he buffed himself with the power of light which he learned from the seven mentors he has for angel magic. He has the ability to learn all types of angelic line magic as he had the blood of the first one created. This means that he can learn all of the skills of the Seven Virtues without worries.
Ark might be quick, but Izanagi is not weak because he managed to parry the sword that the former lunged. Izanagi did not even have any difficulty as he flicked the sword away using just the upper half of his spear. Thinking that he already has the upper hand, Izanagi prepared a palm attack to destroy the chest of his opponent.
When Izanagi condensed his palm with energy, the enemy in front of him also condensed something with his hand. Izanagi did not pay much attention because he already launched his palm towards Ark’s chest. Ark, on the other hand, collated darkness on his left hand and created a pure sphere made of it. Ark then launched the darkness sphere and Izanagi’ energy palm collided with it.
An explosion of darkness occurred that obscured the area and covered the battlefield of Izanagi and Ark with it. Izanagi could also be seen to have been blinded momentarily as some of the darkness elemental energy got into his eyes.
