Chapter 391: Maya, the Menace.
The agents around the floor all stopped in shock, and their eyes widened when they saw the haul that Jason had come back with. There was a deep, deafening silence that washed over all of them at that moment as they all tried to process what they were seeing, but it wasn’t long before Juliet’s excited voice rang through the room!
"What are you all waiting for!? Gather every bag and trolley you can find right now so we can take this to the top floor for processing! Move now!"
There was a massive smile on Juliet’s face, and she looked like a child who had just been told Christmas was coming early! If there was one thing that could truly motivate Juliet, it was the promise of making a lot of money, and at this moment, Juliet felt like she was in heaven! Juliet was literally vibrating as she carried out calculations for how much they would make from all this, and once she realised they would easily make over nine hundred million in profits, she couldn’t stop herself from running and jumping into Jason’s arms to give him a massive hug! Jason caught her easily with a small "whoa!", and Juliet felt the sudden and almost irresistible urge to kiss Jason right then! But Juliet suddenly shivered as she sensed piercing glares from the two girls behind Jason, and she quickly let go of him before smiling.
"You’re amazing! You’re so amazing! I don’t even know what to say, but you’re amazing! I’ll process these and send you the total evaluation as soon as possible! Hey, what are you looking at, huh!? Is there something on my face!? Stop staring at me and start packing! Move! Move!"
Juliet shouted at the agents who had stopped to watch when she jumped into Jason’s arms and told them to hurry up! There was a small blush of embarrassment on her face as she realized that she had jumped Jason in front of so many people, but the excitement from how much money they would make overshadowed everything else, and she practically skipped away as she followed after the agents. Jason just laughed as he watched her go, and then he turned to his girls and said,
"Come on, let’s get going. I’m sure they can deal with things here without us."
Both Gina and Riya nodded at Jason in agreement, and Jason took their hands before they all fell into the shadows and left the guild building.

The street leading up to Mira’s house had been blockaded by security vehicles. There were multiple men in SMD uniforms standing around the streets to prevent any unauthorized person from getting through, and there was even a sniper sitting on a building more than a mile away to keep a bird’s-eye view on the surroundings in case there were any extremists who thought about harming the family. All of these things had been organized by the new Director of the SMD branch in Riverdale, Liam! Liam had been promoted to the position of Director after his part in the battle of New Jersey, and ever since his promotion, he had been very vocal about his support for Jason in the midst of all the controversy flying around on the internet. Liam made sure not to allow anything said about Jason to affect him or those around him because Liam knew that not only was Jason one of the most important superhumans in the country at this moment, but he was also a good person whom Liam could trust. So Liam didn’t have to worry about Jason going rogue with his powers and resurrecting innocent people to force them into his Legion!
There was an agent sitting in front of Mira’s house, and he was currently in the middle of eating some hot soup, but he flinched in shock when he noticed a figure rising from the shadows in front of him, and he was even more shocked when he realized that it was Jason! The man quickly put his food aside and got up to salute.
"Mr. Jason! Welcome back!"
Jason hummed and nodded at the man, and he looked up at the building as both Gina and Riya rose from the shadows to stand beside him. Jason already knew that the officer would be there, so he wasn’t surprised by the man’s presence, and he just asked,
"Did my mother bring you that?"
Jason asked this while looking at the soup the man was eating, and the man blushed before scratching the back of his head and nodding. The soldier said that Mira had brought food for all the soldiers and agents close to her house, and the meal was some of the best food they’d ever had! Jason chuckled slightly at this. He already knew what sort of person his mother was, so he couldn’t even be surprised that she would do something like this. Jason patted the man on the shoulder and thanked him for his hard work before he began making his way upstairs with Gina and Riyala.
’I should thank Liam when I see him later.’
Jason had already put a lot of subordinates around Mira’s house to protect her from any danger, but Liam didn’t know that, and Jason had to be thankful that Liam cared enough about his family to put so many soldiers around them. Jason and the girls moved up to Mira’s apartment, and Jason knocked once before opening the door to let himself in.
"Mum. I’m home."
"ONII-SAN!!!"
A loud voice suddenly echoed through the entire apartment, and Jason’s eyes widened as he braced himself for a flying rocket to slam into his waist! Jason easily caught the little rocket and looked down at the cute little bundle of energy in his hands!
"Onii-san! I missed you so much! Can you believe they wouldn’t let me out of school to come and see you earlier!? I heard about the things you did on the internet! You’re a superhuman now! And you even went into the gate without any powers! What were you thinking!? I was so scared for you! Oh, onii-san! You smell so nice! Did you use something new!? You even grew more handsome since I last saw you! Onii-san, I’m never going to leave you again! I’ll drop out of school and marry you so we can be together forever! And we’ll live on a farm with three children and lots of cats and goats, and—!"
"Maya! What did I tell you about bothering your brother!? Let go of him right now!"
Mira’s voice echoed through the house, and Maya screeched before she hugged Jason tighter and screamed at her mother,
"You’ll never tear us apart, you hater! Onii-chan and I are meant to be together forever! If you want to take me away, then you’ll have to kill me first! I’ll never bow to evil!"
Jason smiled happily as he saw his mother coming out of the inner room with a scowl on her face, and Mira sighed in exasperation when she saw how tightly Maya was holding onto Jason’s waist, but Jason couldn’t get rid of his smile no matter what! He was so happy, he couldn’t contain himself! Jason reached down and grabbed Maya under her arms before pulling her up like she weighed nothing at all. Maya was a cute little girl who had turned thirteen this year, but she was still on the smaller side, so she looked more like an eleven-year-old. She had long black hair like her mother and dark black eyes, and she had the sort of face that would make any woman scream from a cuteness overload! This was Jason’s little sister and one of his favourite people in the whole world!
