Chapter 3 Who Poked Me with a Needle

Lin Qiaoxi watched as Yang Feilong inserted several silver needles, and the bleeding from the wound immediately stopped. She blinked her beautiful eyes, amazed, "What incredible acupuncture!"

Then, she saw Yang Feilong open a medicinal bottle and pour some powder onto Lin Yunxi's wound. To her astonishment, the wound, which was a good seven or eight centimeters wide, began to heal.

Lin Qiaoxi was utterly dumbfounded. "What is this medicine?"

"Combined with acupuncture, it has the effect of stopping bleeding, healing wounds, and even preventing scars!" Yang Feilong said. "You look after your cousin while I go change the tire?"

"Ah? You can change tires too? Should my cousin and I get out?" Lin Qiaoxi looked at Yang Feilong as if he were an celestial being.

"No need to get out," Yang Feilong waved his hand.

While Yang Feilong was changing the tire.

"Mmmph," Lin Yunxi slowly woke up.

She then found herself lying face down in the back of the car. Just as she tried to sit up, she heard Lin Qiaoxi's anxious voice, "Cousin, don't get up, you've got needles in you!"

Lin Yunxi was dazed. "Who used needles on me?"

Lin Qiaoxi hurriedly explained. After she finished, she said, "Cousin, you mustn't mind, Yang Feilong, the one who subdued the thugs, he undressed you and inserted needles to save your life, otherwise you would have bled to death! But I never expected that as a detective, you'd be wearing lace."

"He can also treat illnesses and injuries? Wait, who says detectives can't wear lace?" Lin Yunxi instinctively retorted, then quickly thought of something and shouted furiously, "Lin Qiaoxi!"

"Ah!" Lin Qiaoxi stared at her cousin blankly, not understanding why she was angry again.

"Ahem, don't you two sisters squabble. I need to remove the needles now!" Yang Feilong had to appear at this point.

Lin Yunxi wished she could bury her face in her hands, overcome with shame. She hadn't felt this way initially; it was all her cousin's fault.

"By the way, Yang Feilong, where are you headed? You look about my age, are you going to university?" Lin Qiaoxi asked Yang Feilong curiously. She had only asked for his name before and nothing else.

"Me? I'm heading to Lan Hai University. Soon, I might become a teacher at the School of Medicine at Lan Hai University!" Yang Feilong chuckled.

"Ah? I'm also a student at the School of Medicine at Lan Hai University and plan to stay and be a teacher there in the future! Our aspirations are the same!" Lin Qiaoxi said excitedly.

Yang Feilong's mouth twitched. Was his expression unclear, or was this adorable beauty's understanding flawed?

...

Lin Yunxi drove, taking Lin Qiaoxi along. She couldn't believe she had a knife wound in the morning and was fine in the afternoon. At this moment, a bewildered look was on her face. "Qiaoxi, when did Yang Feilong leave?"

"It seems he disappeared after collecting the reward for capturing those two murderers!" Lin Qiaoxi mused.

"Was he afraid we'd split the money?" Lin Yunxi asked.

"Hard to say. He said he was from the mountains, maybe he's short on cash," Lin Qiaoxi pondered for a moment.

"I originally wanted to give him a million or so to repay his life-saving grace," Lin Yunxi sighed. "Now he's run off without even leaving his contact information."

"Perhaps we'll have a chance to meet again. Didn't he say he'd be a teacher at Lan Hai University in the future?" Lin Qiaoxi said optimistically.

"You believe that?" Lin Yunxi countered.

...

Time flew by, and it was the next day, May 3rd.

At Lan Hai University, Yang Feilong was walking on campus when a stunning beauty suddenly walked towards him. This made Yang Feilong marvel, "What's going on? Why do I keep seeing beautiful women these past two days!"

"Hello, beautiful lady, could you please tell me how to get to the Dean's office at the School of Medicine?" Yang Feilong stopped the beauty in front of him.

Ouyang Yixue paused her steps and then pointed the way for Yang Feilong.

"Thank you, beautiful lady. But you should probably get yourself checked, you might have breast cancer!" Yang Feilong said sincerely.

"You're crazy!" Ouyang Yixue's face changed, and she cursed, then walked away quickly.

Yang Feilong helplessly rubbed his nose. "Trying to do a good deed, and I get cursed? How unfortunate! But who can I blame when I have a compassionate heart that loves to help others!"

So he didn't mind and called out again, "Don't dismiss it, or you'll regret it!"

Ouyang Yixue heard him and walked even faster.

Lan Hai University.

School of Medicine, Dean's Office.

Li Weimin was a middle-aged man in his fifties, the Dean of the School of Medicine. Besides him, there were two vice-deans.

"Dean, what do you think of Liu Duoxin? If he's suitable, then let him start teaching tomorrow," Vice-Dean Liu Qi said with a smile.

"Liu Duoxin, he graduated with a doctorate, has had some internship experience, and possesses some practical skills, though still lacking in real-world experience. However, overall, he's much better than others. If we're going to recruit, then let's recruit him!" Li Weimin pondered for a moment. "But a while ago, I promised Divine Doctor Bai that I'd give that teaching position to his disciple! I'm worried that if we give it to him, Divine Doctor Bai's disciple might show up! It's a shame I can't reach Divine Doctor Bai, unless she appears on her own."

"But when Divine Doctor Bai's disciple will arrive is unknown, and we don't know their skill level either? And this semester only has about two months left," Vice-Dean Liu Qi said. "Also, Divine Doctor Bai's student has no academic qualifications, and their skill level is unknown. Furthermore, even if their medical skills are good, it doesn't mean their teaching skills are, and in that case, wouldn't it be irresponsible to the students?"

"That's right!" the other vice-dean chimed in.

Just then, a knock sounded on the door.

"Come in!" Li Weimin said.

The next moment, a young figure carrying a package appeared.

"Are you Dean Li Weimin?"

"I am. Who are you?" Li Weimin raised an eyebrow slightly.

"Hello Dean Li, my name is Yang Feilong. My master sent me to find you," Yang Feilong said with a light smile.

"Your master? Divine Doctor Bai?" Li Weimin's eyes flickered as he asked.

"Yes." Yang Feilong smiled and produced the credential given to him by his master, a very ancient-looking fountain pen that seemed to have seen many years.

"So, you are Divine Doctor Bai's esteemed disciple." Li Weimin's face immediately lit up with a smile. He hadn't expected the person in question to arrive so soon after they had just been discussing it. The other two also smiled, though Vice-Dean Liu Qi's smile was a bit forced.

They had witnessed Divine Doctor Bai's medical skills; she had saved several important figures. As her disciple, Yang Feilong should not be too bad either.

Li Weimin took the fountain pen. He had used this pen for many years. A while ago, he had invited Divine Doctor Bai to Lan Hai University for a medical lecture, but she had refused. However, she said she could send her disciple to be a teacher at Lan Hai University, which Li Weimin agreed to. Since she didn't use a mobile phone, she had given him this pen, which she had used for many years, as proof, asking her disciple to find him.

"Dr. Yang," Li Weimin chose his words carefully, feeling this title was more appropriate. "There is a class at the School of Medicine that is short of a teacher. The previous teacher was ill and stayed home for a while, and due to health concerns with age, eventually retired, leaving a vacancy. However, not knowing when Divine Doctor Bai's esteemed disciple would arrive, and thinking it was more likely for the next semester, we recruited someone else."

"So, you mean there's no longer a shortage of teachers?" Yang Feilong showed a wry smile.

Well, it seemed he had come all this way for nothing.

"That's right. I've thought about it. You and the other outstanding candidate, let's go find Elder Yuan, the former teacher. He is a highly respected elder in the medical field, and we can have him conduct an interview to make the final decision. What do you think?" Li Weimin asked Yang Feilong seriously.

This was the result of his careful consideration.

Although Liu Duoxin was not very experienced, he had a high academic qualification, some experience, and a connection with Vice-Dean Liu Qi, though not a very close one.

Yang Feilong had initially thought the matter was settled, but now he was given another chance. "Certainly!"

He hadn't experienced an interview before, but in terms of medical knowledge, he believed he was second to no one.

Then, Li Weimin looked at Vice-Dean Liu Qi. "Please also notify Liu Duoxin."

"Okay!" Vice-Dean Liu Qi nodded, not saying much more. He didn't want to offend the divine doctor's disciple.
