Ye Hai sneered, "What do you think, Lou?"
Lou Yuming didn't seem angry. Instead, the corners of his eyes lifted. Yet, that smile sent a shiver down Song Xi's spine, as she knew him well.
"Come here." He pulled Song Xi onto his lap and, disregarding everyone else's expressions, placed the fifty-thousand-yuan guitar on the dining table.
Song Xi's expression was stiff, as if she wanted to get up, but Lou Yuming held her slender waist, smiling without a word.
The scene was like a bloody battlefield.
Jin Ying was both frightened and curious about what would happen next. She remained silent, making herself invisible.
Song Xi looked at Ye Tian, her smile not quite natural due to her seating position. "Ye Tian, this is a gift for you."
Since Lou Yuming had brought it, Ye Tian couldn't possibly accept it.
He sided with his elder brother, "I don't accept gifts from strangers."
Song Xi tried to explain, "No, this is from me..."
"Sister Song Xi, you don't need to say anything! If it's from you, I'll accept anything, but if it's from someone else, then it's not necessary."
It was all ruined, a complete misunderstanding.
Lou Yuming let out a light chuckle and playfully squeezed Song Xi's fingers. His low voice drawled, "See? He doesn't care for it."
Song Xi's face turned cold. If Lou Yuming hadn't shown up uninvited, the situation wouldn't have become like this!
"Let go," she said, her voice lowered. She was angry.
Lou Yuming frowned slightly, but he ultimately gave her face and released his grip.
Song Xi immediately stood up and said to Ye Tian, "Ye Tian, I'm sorry. This dinner is on me. That guitar was bought with my own money for you, it has nothing to do with him."
"Have a smooth journey."
With that, she turned and left.
She knew that if she didn't leave, Lou Yuming wouldn't either.
He had turned the dinner into a mess, and Song Xi wouldn't forgive him easily!
As expected, Lou Yuming followed her out.
Ye Tian glanced at the guitar and then at his second brother. "Second brother, they've provoked you right in front of us. If you don't seize this opportunity—"
Before he could finish, Ye Hai vanished from the private room like a sharp lightning bolt.
Only Jin Ying and Ye Tian were left, staring at each other.
After leaving the restaurant, Song Xi and Lou Yuming had a huge argument.
Song Xi questioned why Lou Yuming had shown up so suddenly. It was Ye Tian's farewell dinner, and he had deliberately disrupted it, causing everyone to feel extremely awkward.
Lou Yuming's focus, however, was on the fact that she had dressed up so elaborately just to meet Ye Hai.
She knew full well that Ye Hai had ulterior motives regarding her!
Thus, the two of them argued fiercely in the car, without restraint.
Song Xi found him unreasonable. What was the big deal if she was going to see Ye Hai? Did it warrant him flying into such a rage?
Finally, seeing his gloomy face, as if he were about to resort to violence, Song Xi quickly jumped out of the car in fright.
"Song Xi, stop right there!"
The man in the car, roaring, got out of the car.
As if she'd be foolish enough to stop!
Song Xi ran forward desperately. Just then, a black SUV pulled up in front of her.
"Get in."
It was Ye Hai.
Despite everything, Song Xi still leaped into the car.
A smirk played on Ye Hai's lips as he flashed a triumphant smile at Lou Yuming.
"Song Xi!"
Lou Yuming's eyes turned bloodshot, his stern jawline seeming to seethe with a deathly anger.
Fine. Good! You're dead!
After escaping Lou Yuming, Song Xi felt a sense of exhilarating revenge.
"Are you alright?"
Song Xi shook her head. "I'm sorry I ruined the dinner. I'll make it up to you when Ye Tian returns."
She was so polite.
Ironically, Ye Hai disliked her politeness the most. Her flushed face from arguing with Lou Yuming earlier was much more endearing and lively.
But she never showed such emotions in front of him.
Ye Hai's heart sank. Recalling what Ye Tian had said, he took a deep breath.
"Just drop me off at the intersection," Song Xi suddenly said.
The hand gripping the steering wheel tightened. Ye Hai realized this was his last chance, as someone needed to accompany Ye Tian abroad.
His elder brother was busy with company matters and couldn't leave easily, so it had to be him.
"Song Xi."
His originally low tone suddenly became solemn.
Song Xi was startled. When she looked back, she saw him looking at her with an unprecedentedly serious expression.
Song Xi's heart skipped a beat.
