Cang Ming

Chapter 141 Showing No Mercy

Anna detected the unpleasantness in his tone.

She felt wronged, "Yu Ming, did I do something wrong?"

Even the most cold-hearted man would be incredibly softened by such a sweet, coy voice.

But Lou Yu Ming simply looked at her coldly. After a moment, he spoke, his tone filled with certainty, though it was a question.

"Did you have someone follow Song Xi?"

"What! I didn't!"

Seeing Lou Yu Ming's expressionless face, Anna panicked. "Yu Ming, I really didn't. Whenever I have free time lately, I come to accompany Grandma. I haven't done anything else."

Lou Yu Ming sneered, "He admitted it himself. You're still arguing."

Anna's face turned pale.

Lou Yu Ming stood up directly and said coldly,

"I won't tell Shao Cheng this time, but next time, don't blame me for showing no mercy!"

Anna sat on the sofa, unsure of what to do. After a few seconds, she made a call, gritting her teeth. "What's wrong with you? Didn't I tell you not to alert the enemy recently? Why didn't you listen to my orders? Do you still want your money!"

The man on the other end was stunned. "It's a frame-up. I've been at the office all week, haven't gone anywhere!"

Anna's expression faltered. "Then what's going on? Go investigate quickly!"

"Alright, Miss An. But the price..."

"Investigate first!"

Professionals get things done efficiently.

In less than five minutes, the man called back.

"Miss An, you really have bad luck. The Miss Song you commissioned an investigation on encountered a stalker last night. That woman is quite something, she fought the guy with her bare hands and won."

Anna's eyes turned cold. "And then?"

"The man was arrested. I don't know if he was scared or what, but he said you instructed him. I checked, and he's just a fan who's obsessed with her. He took those photos of Miss Song that went viral a while ago. He's probably afraid of this coming to light, so he decided to frame you for it. He doesn't know you anyway."

Anna's mouth twitched with anger.

"Where is that man now? I want him to pay the price!"

"Calm down, Miss. Your fiancé has already dealt with him. He's still locked up."

Being misunderstood for the first time, especially by the man she loved, was more unbearable for Anna than death.

Lou Yu Ming was always meticulous in his actions. Logically, he should have investigated such matters thoroughly.

But now, he believed a mere obsessed fan's words.

Was he not bothered whether she did it or not, or was he so worried about Song Xi that he lost his composure?

Anna felt as if her heart had been torn open, bloody and raw.

It hurt so much she couldn't breathe.

"Miss An?"

Anna hung up the phone with a sharp click.

She felt utterly wronged, her eyes immediately welling up.

Song Xi, you bitch!

In her peripheral vision, she saw the memory card on the floor.

She wiped away her tears and walked over, a vicious glint in her eyes.

...

During dinner, Anna sat in a corner, looking like she had suffered a great injustice.

Everyone at the table noticed, but no one went to comfort her.

Zhang Qi was living quite well lately, having skipped school and waiting for graduation next year.

Grandma had been stricter with him recently, only allowing him out once a week, which almost drove him crazy.

Several times, he couldn't resist wanting Yi Xiaoling to sneak over to see him.

However, after contacting her several times, she made excuses. Zhang Qi suspected she had someone else.

But then he thought about it again and felt she wouldn't dare.

"...Qi'er, Qi'er!"

Zhang Qi snapped out of his daze and then said with a fawning smile, "What is it, Grandma?"

The old lady snorted heavily. "It's the end of the month in two days. When are you going to bring Xi Xi over?"

Song Xi again.

Zhang Qi's expression turned cold, but the next second, he stood up abruptly. "I'll go now!"
