Chapter 361 The Knocking Sound

In the morning, the intermittent chirping of birds outside the window reached Yun Shujian’s ears.

Yun Shujian frowned in her sleep, then groggily opened her eyes.

Her vision was met with half a morning glow and half a jade-like face.

To Yun Shujian, the jade-like face was too stunning, making the half morning glow seem rather ordinary.

Yun Shujian had just woken up, her willpower was at its weakest, and she had always been bold and possessive of her love for Mu Qi, never needing to restrain herself.

Yun Shujian raised her hand and caressed Mu Qi’s forehead, then moved down to trace his high nose bridge, finally landing on his lips.

Yun Shujian’s gaze was fixed on Mu Qi’s red lips, unable to look away.

After a moment, Yun Shujian placed her index finger under her lips and rubbed Mu Qi’s lips firmly with her thumb.

Within a few breaths, Mu Qi’s lips became even more crimson, like blood.

The more Yun Shujian looked, the more intoxicated she became. She lowered the hand on Mu Qi’s lips and instead placed it on his shoulder, forcefully pushing him back down.

Then, Yun Shujian eagerly leaned forward, but in her dazed state, she forgot that a connecting golden handcuff still joined them.

With a bang, Yun Shujian, careless for a moment, fell onto Mu Qi.

This jolted Yun Shujian fully awake.

Looking at the cherry lips so close to her, Yun Shujian grinned in silent agony.

After a few seconds, Yun Shujian moved forward. After all, she still had to kiss him.

At this moment, Yun Shujian’s waist was held. Yun Shujian looked up and realized that Mu Qi had opened his eyes at some point.

“What’s wrong?” Mu Qi, not understanding, moved the hand from Yun Shujian’s waist to her head and stroked it.

Yun Shujian didn’t speak, she simply propped herself up on the bed with one hand and leaned in to kiss Mu Qi.

Mu Qi’s hand paused its stroking of Yun Shujian’s head. Soon, Mu Qi flipped over and pinned Yun Shujian beneath him, kissing her even more fiercely.

As the situation became increasingly uncontrollable, Yun Shujian pressed down on Mu Qi’s hand.

Mu Qi clasped Yun Shujian’s fingers in return, breathing heavily near her ear, “Niannian.”

Yun Shujian: “I’m hungry.”

“Niannian, I’m uncomfortable.”

“I… I…”

Yun Shujian turned her head away, her face flushed.

“Heh.” Mu Qi admired her for a moment, then got up to go to the bathroom. However, as soon as Mu Qi stood up, his movement was restricted by the handcuff on his hand.

“Niannian wants to go to the bathroom with me?”

Yun Shujian naturally realized that because of the handcuff, if Mu Qi went to the bathroom, she would have to go too.

Yun Shujian was silent for a moment, then stood up and retrieved another long chain handcuff from her bag.

Mu Qi raised an eyebrow, a sense of surprise washing over him.

Yun Shujian then cuffed one end of the handcuff to Mu Qi’s other wrist, and the other end to her own wrist, before unlocking the original handcuff with a key.

Yun Shujian: “You can go.”

“Does Niannian really think I can escape from this deserted island?” Mu Qi’s hand rested on the back of Yun Shujian’s neck, his voice somewhat lingering.

Yun Shujian removed Mu Qi’s hand from her neck and then looked at her phone in her bag.

“Who knows?”

Mu Qi didn’t know how to answer this. He restrained himself and kissed Yun Shujian’s forehead before turning to go to the bathroom.

After Mu Qi left, Yun Shujian looked at her phone in her bag with some frustration.

Yun Shujian was unsure if Mu Qi had used her phone to contact the outside world while she was asleep last night.

So, Yun Shujian could only be extremely vigilant. Even if someone found them, she couldn’t be separated from Mu Qi. These few handcuffs were Yun Shujian’s last safeguard.

Because a metal chain connected Yun Shujian and Mu Qi, the bathroom door could not be fully closed.

Time ticked by, and Yun Shujian noticed that the chain on the floor had been still for quite some time.

Yun Shujian waited, becoming more and more anxious. Finally, she couldn’t resist and directly opened the bathroom door and went in.

“Niannian.” Mu Qi’s voice was filled with helplessness.

Several hours later, Yun Shujian prepared to cook.

Mu Qi rolled up his sleeves behind Yun Shujian and stepped forward, clearly not intending to let Yun Shujian do any work.

Yun Shujian remembered the porridge that had spilled everywhere yesterday. She looked at Mu Qi through the kitchen glass door for a moment and lost all desire to help.

Yun Shujian was silent for a moment, then suddenly opened the refrigerator.

Yun Shujian looked at the fully stocked refrigerator and fell into thought.

She could already imagine the scene where, after all these things were consumed, she and Mu Qi would starve to death.

At this moment, Yun Shujian even thought that such an end might not be bad.

Soon, Mu Qi’s lunch was ready, and it was very lavish.

There was Yun Shujian’s favorite squirrel fish, sweet and sour pork ribs, maocai, preserved vegetable meat, and a winter melon soup.

Yun Shujian was genuinely hungry. Once all the dishes were served, she quickly picked up a large piece of pork rib and put it in her mouth.

Mu Qi watched Yun Shujian eat, a smile blooming on his lips.

Yun Shujian ate his cooking heartily, seeming to enjoy his company.

This realization brought Mu Qi a joy akin to an ordinary person winning five million in a lottery.

Piece after piece of fish was placed into Yun Shujian’s bowl.

Yun Shujian didn’t have a large appetite and soon felt quite full. When she looked at Mu Qi, she noticed that the rice in his bowl had barely diminished.

Yun Shujian stopped chewing, raised her hand, picked up a boneless pork rib, and brought it to Mu Qi’s lips.

Mu Qi froze, momentarily unable to react.

This was the first time Yun Shujian had directly offered food to Mu Qi’s mouth. Previously, she would just put it into his bowl.

Was Mu Qi trying to starve himself?

The moment this thought arose, Yun Shujian immediately stood up from her chair.

Then, Yun Shujian impulsively walked directly to Mu Qi.

Yun Shujian pinched Mu Qi’s chin with one hand, trying to force him to open his mouth, while holding the pork rib with the other. However, Yun Shujian didn’t know how to do it and failed after several attempts.

Finally, Mu Qi reacted first: “Are you…”

Before Mu Qi could finish speaking, Yun Shujian stuffed the pork rib into his mouth.

Seeing Mu Qi chew and swallow, Yun Shujian finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Yun Shujian thought that if Mu Qi’s potential refusal to eat made her feel this bad, how much more distressed must Mu Qi have felt when she threw food on the ground every day?

Knowing that Mu Qi was willing to eat, Yun Shujian returned to her seat.

Just then, there was a sudden series of knocks on the guest room door.
