Chapter 39 Mu Qi Gets Drunk Again

“I… I like Mu Qi?” Yun Shuzhen looked incredulous but overjoyed.

“Ji Yi, is it true? I’ve really fallen for Mu Qi?” Yun Shuzhen eagerly asked Ji Yi again, her hands clasped in front of her.

Ji Yi looked at the lively Yun Shuzhen, who was holding her hands and bouncing with excitement. She sighed helplessly, marveling at the power of love, which could transform such a reserved and innocent person into someone so adept at acting spoiled.

“Shan Gong, investigate the surveillance near Qi Yuan,” Mu Qi said urgently, his phoenix eyes bloodshot.

Shan Gong knew that the only reason Mu Qi would order surveillance around Qi Yuan was to find Yun Shuzhen. “Yes, Mr. Mu.” Shan Gong, who had been summoned urgently, hurried to the computer desk without time to complain about Yun Shuzhen, and began searching for her whereabouts.

Time ticked by, and Shan Gong finally found a trace of Yun Shuzhen. “Found her, Mr. Mu.” Shan Gong looked up to see Mu Qi standing with his back to him, holding a bottle of whiskey.

Shan Gong, who had been following Mu Qi for many years, couldn't understand what he meant for the first time. He swallowed nervously.

“Shan Gong, tell me. Compared to the Mu Qi now, would Yun Shuzhen prefer the Mu Qi after he’s had a drink?” Mu Qi asked, opening the bottle.

“Young Master…” Shan Gong started, but didn’t know what to say.

No one knew better than Shan Gong how much Mu Qi loathed his loss of control when he was drunk.

Shan Gong knew Yun Shuzhen was special to Mu Qi, but he hadn’t expected Mu Qi to go to such lengths just to bring a smile to her face.

Once her doubts were cleared, Yun Shuzhen rushed to Qi Yuan. She knew that if Mu Qi found out she was missing, he would definitely return.

“Mu Qi?” As soon as Yun Shuzhen entered the villa, she began looking for him.

Yun Shuzhen called out a few times, uncertain if Mu Qi had returned. “Aunt Ning, is Mu Qi here?”

Aunt Ning looked at Yun Shuzhen, unable to believe she had returned on her own. After all, every time Yun Shuzhen had escaped and was brought back by Mu Qi and Shan Gong, the scene had been exceptionally chaotic.

Seeing Aunt Ning’s lack of reaction, Yun Shuzhen waved her hand in front of her. “Aunt Ning?” She wondered if Mu Qi was still at the company and decided to turn around and head there.

Fortunately, Aunt Ning finally reacted and immediately grabbed Yun Shuzhen, afraid she would run off again. “Miss Yun, the Young Master is in the wine cellar.”

The wine cellar?

Yun Shuzhen was puzzled. In both her past and present lives, she had never seen Mu Qi go there.

“Yes. I’ll take you,” Aunt Ning said, holding Yun Shuzhen’s wrist and walking towards the wine cellar. She couldn’t risk Yun Shuzhen disappearing without a trace again.

Yun Shuzhen, with her heart full of questions, followed Aunt Ning to an arched wooden door.

Aunt Ning stepped aside, making way for Yun Shuzhen. “Miss Yun, please go in.”

Recalling the time Mu Qi had been drunk, Yun Shuzhen’s heart skipped a beat. She then gripped the doorknob and pushed the door open.

Behind her, Aunt Ning thoughtfully closed the door for their Young Master.

The lights in the wine cellar were dim. As Yun Shuzhen walked, she looked forward to seeing Mu Qi, while also paying attention to her surroundings to avoid getting lost.

Finally, after passing row after row of wine racks, Yun Shuzhen found Mu Qi sitting on the floor, leaning against a wine rack, in a place filled with whiskey.

He had his eyes closed, his head tilted back slightly, his lips moist from the alcohol. His white shirt was stained with wine, hinting at his attractive abs.

Yun Shuzhen’s senses were captivated by Mu Qi’s presence until his long, feather-like eyelashes slowly fluttered upwards, revealing his clear, slightly red phoenix eyes.

The next moment, Mu Qi stood up and lunged towards Yun Shuzhen.

Tears instantly welled up in his luminous phoenix eyes. “Baby, where did you go?” Mu Qi pulled Yun Shuzhen into his embrace, burying his head in her neck.

Mu Qi’s soft voice melted Yun Shuzhen’s heart.

“Baby~” his husky, magnetic voice trembled with a touch of cuteness.

When Mu Qi didn’t receive a response from Yun Shuzhen, he sobbed softly and nuzzled her neck with his lips and teeth.

As Mu Qi’s sobs trembled, his short, fine hair brushed against Yun Shuzhen’s nape.

“Ah~” Mu Qi suddenly increased his pressure. Yun Shuzhen cried out in pain and reflexively reached out to push him away.

Enduring the pain, Yun Shuzhen pleaded with Mu Qi, “Mu Qi, get up first.” Their strength was vastly different, and Yun Shuzhen couldn’t budge him despite all her efforts, which only brought them closer.

Mu Qi’s every tear fell onto Yun Shuzhen’s shoulder, accusingly. “Baby, where are you going again?”

As Yun Shuzhen opened her mouth to explain, Mu Qi’s moist lips suddenly covered hers, and his well-defined hand slipped under her short shirt from behind.

Yun Shuzhen’s senses were immediately overwhelmed by Mu Qi’s pheromones.

She saw his luminous eyes and heard his rapid breaths…

Soon, Yun Shuzhen’s body went limp in Mu Qi’s arms, her hands loosely encircling his waist.

Mu Qi, however, became more unrestrained. He leaned in, pushing Yun Shuzhen against a heavy wine rack, and began to passionately invade her body.

Until the last moment, Yun Shuzhen whispered in Mu Qi’s ear, “Mu Qi, let’s go to the room.”

“Baby.” Mu Qi heard her but continued his fervent kisses.

Yun Shuzhen placed her hands on Mu Qi’s head, only to meet his phoenix eyes, now filled with desire.

“Baby,” Mu Qi looked at Yun Shuzhen, his phoenix eyes deepening.

Yun Shuzhen said dazedly, “Mu… Mu Qi, let’s go to the room.”

Mu Qi paused for a moment, then lifted Yun Shuzhen with one arm and quickly walked out of the wine cellar.
