Chapter 584 Setting Off for the New Home

He no longer needed to concern himself with anything regarding Manchester United. The core team-building ideas were already well understood by both Guardiola and Mike.

In the new season, they only needed to implement these ideas. Cao Baming was very confident in Guardiola's coaching abilities and the individual skills of the many top superstar players in the team.

The next morning, Cao Baming boarded a private jet bound for Nottingham Forest Club. As the plane took off, he looked down through the window at the receding city of Manchester, a strange feeling washing over him.

It felt like a farewell to a lover, a sense of reluctance to part.

But this feeling would not last long. Cao Baming turned his head, straightened his posture, and adjusted the seat to its most comfortable position.

This was the most comfortable massage chair in the world, custom-made for his body. At this moment, he closed his eyes and savored this moment. What thoughts could possibly still hold him back?

Those matters were insignificant to someone enjoying themselves in heaven; they would not be affected at all.

The plane landed smoothly at the scheduled time. Cao Baming had only two things on his mind: first, to meet the players at the club, and second, to find a place to live nearby as soon as possible.

The previous mansion was no longer practical for the moment, as it was impossible to commute daily between Arsenal and the East Midlands, which was quite a distance.

Regarding his new location, Nottingham Forest Club, in an effort to show their sincerity, had also provided Cao Baming with accommodation: a 380-square-meter duplex private villa with forest and small waterfall views, just a ten-minute drive from the club.

It sounded quite good, but he would have to see it in person to know for sure.

Based on the area, it was exactly half the size of the villa he had in Arsenal. However, since he would be living alone, a smaller space might actually be better.

After being accustomed to large houses, a smaller space could feel warmer and more like a home, offering a unique sense of security.

The emptiness of vast rooms would be replaced by a sense of coziness. It seemed like a good prospect.

Cao Baming disembarked the plane and made a call. Soon, someone arrived to pick him up.

A light purple sedan slowly drove from a distance, and Cao Baming's eyes lit up.

In the open airport tarmac, besides the arranged pick-up person, there shouldn't be any idle people in such a place.

As the car approached, it began to slow down. The car window rolled down, and a lady with neat short hair and sunglasses peeked out, her smile brighter than spring flowers.

Cao Baming had truly not expected it to be a woman, and such a beautiful one at that!

He had been told a driver would pick him up to tour the villa, which naturally conjured the image of a middle-aged man. Seeing this scene now was a refreshing surprise.

It was wonderful! Cao Baming's heart blossomed.

This lady was young, appearing no older than twenty. Her innocent and radiant smile made the world seem so beautiful in her eyes, as if without a single flaw.

"Hi! I'm Lina! Nice to meet you!" the girl greeted, making a gesture that made her seem even more lively and cheerful.

Even Cao Baming felt a flutter of attraction in that instant.

Her clothes were almost the same color as the car, also light purple, and the car's interior seats were the same. She wore a short-sleeved T-shirt, her arms and face as fair as could be.

Removing her sunglasses, she became even more captivating. Her smile remained as sincere and friendly as ever, as if she didn't consider Cao Baming a stranger at all.

Yet, this was indeed their first meeting.

Cao Baming responded cheerfully, greeting her in a charming manner before getting into the car.

In the presence of such a delightful girl, he had to present his best self!

Once in the car, Cao Baming initiated a conversation with Lina, and they began to chat.

The car was filled with the scent of lavender, a faint, pleasant aroma that was not overpowering, much like Lina's overall demeanor.

Through their conversation, Cao Baming learned that Lina was the sister of a high-ranking executive at the club and currently worked there part-time.

It was her holiday period, and she enjoyed traveling, adventures, and trying new things. In school, she was known as a "tomboy" by her classmates, but also the unattainable campus belle in the eyes of all the boys.

Her spirited short haircut vividly portrayed her personality.

Lina played football, naturally influenced by her family, and was currently a key player for the district and school women's football teams.

Her knowledge of Cao Baming was initially limited to news reports. She knew he was a talented star player with a unique style of play and skills.

However, she didn't know much about his personal life. As their conversation deepened, Lina began to ask about Cao Baming, but unfortunately, just as she started, they had arrived at their destination.

"Here we are, that gray patch up ahead is it!" Lina said, pointing towards a patch of trees not far in front of them.

Cao Baming looked carefully in that direction and indeed saw a gray triangle. If one didn't look very closely, it would be hard to spot, as it was hidden among the many branches and leaves.

Fortunately, his eyesight was good, Cao Baming thought to himself.

"We didn't finish our conversation, perhaps we can continue next time!" Cao Baming initiated.

The girl nodded, a smile of excitement on her face.

The car made a C-shaped turn around the small patch of woods she had indicated, and the entire villa came into view.

It had to be said, it looked quite large from the outside, and the exterior was rather appealing.

The surrounding environment offered mountains, water, and forests, and it was located in the suburban area, not too far from the city, with convenient transportation. Everything seemed quite satisfactory.

So far, Cao Baming was pleased and could sense that this was where he would be living.

"I can even hear the sound of flowing water and birdsong nearby! This is great."

After Lina parked the car, they walked towards the building together. Lina then handed the key directly to Cao Baming.

"Whether you come or not, it's yours. Here you go!"
