Chapter 767 Things Have Changed

After dinner, the fox spirit proposed to visit Jiuxian Cave again, which was her home for four hundred years, and she still had some affection for it.

Chen Lu called and got a car. They drove to Fanshen Village. It had been a long time since they last visited. Han Yin Temple had been renovated. The land smoothed by Longyue below was now dotted with tower cranes, and construction materials were piled up. However, construction had not yet started. The winters in the Northeast were too cold for frozen soil, so they had to wait until spring.

The project manager showed us the renderings in the office. It was a comprehensive tourist resort, including an ecological park and other facilities. It felt like it would be a more beautiful paradise than the Laobie Bay villa area if completed. Even more impressive, because the area was surrounded by mountains, they had ingeniously laid solar panels on all the treeless areas outside the planned park. These panels would not only supply power to the entire resort but also have surplus. The designer intended to use the excess electricity to build a large underground system for regulating warm and cool air and humidity throughout Fanshen Village, equivalent to a connected underground air conditioning station. Once completed, as the area was surrounded by mountains, it would form a microclimate, achieving a "natural temperature and humidity" that was warm in winter and cool in summer.

"This is too sci-fi," I couldn't help but shake my head. I couldn't even imagine it. If it were even more sci-fi, they would have to cover the entire village with a giant glass dome, like an alien base.

After visiting the resort, we returned to the former site of Jiuxian Cave, which was also part of the plan. The nine cave dwellings would be preserved and turned into Taoist temples within the caves for devotees to worship. That broken coffin was still there because no one dared to touch it, fearing it was a relic. I told the person in charge that they didn't need to worry about relics inside; they could proceed with their designs. It was Yaoyao's coffin, and since she was alive and well, leaving a coffin was too inauspicious.

At sunset, we left Fanshen Village and drove back to Fucheng City. We also took the opportunity to visit Zheng Bingbing's parents. Her mother had recovered well, and Old Zheng was even more vigorous. Both parents were very happy that Bingbing had officially joined Shabia and was working for the government. I didn't dare tell them that Bingbing was also working for the underworld government and now held a higher position than me, fearing her mother would be scared and end up in the hospital again.

Bingbing would be discharged next week. Yuwen Chengdu's demon core was stable; there was no problem. Even if it wasn't stable, it wouldn't matter; I still had Li Yuanba as my trump card.

After visiting Bingbing's parents, Chen Lu, the fox spirit, and I returned to Shengjing. We didn't go to Chen Lu's house but found a bar and had some fun. In the middle of the night, we booked a hotel room and continued our revelry.

The next morning, we woke up groggily and returned to Lvshun. Longyue's wound had mostly recovered. Yaoyao's treatment methods for superficial wounds that were not penetrating were better than modern medicine, but there were still visible scars. I took a picture of Longyue's face and sent it to my aunt to ask for advice on how to handle it.

My aunt asked, "What a beauty, is she your streamer too?"

I said, "I'm looking at her face."

My aunt inquired among her doctor friends. The experts unanimously recommended going to South Korea for plastic surgery, using skin from other parts of the body to replace the scarred area, which would leave no trace. It was similar to treating burn wounds, except that for this type of scar, a smaller area of skin needed to be replaced, and the recovery would be better.

I hadn't planned to go, but Yaoyao said she wanted to see what the original Gaoli Kingdom (now South Korea) looked like now, so I followed along.

It was even closer than Jinling. It took only two hours to get there from Lvshun. The local Shabia department received us and arranged for the surgery the next day. We wandered around Hancheng City. We didn't see as many beauties as in Korean dramas; many were as ordinary as those in our country, and there were quite a few with single eyelids.

Perhaps what we saw were all products of excessive packaging.

We stayed in South Korea for a week. Longyue, with her strong inner strength and excellent recovery abilities, coupled with Yaoyao's assistance, fully recovered.

Back in Lvshun, I asked Longyue about her next plans. Longyue still held some resentment towards us, especially since her meticulously managed Mohe Group had disintegrated. She only said she would go to Changbai Mountain to cultivate and didn't say when she would reappear. Hopefully, the next time we meet, it won't be with armies of two tribes facing each other.
