Chapter 641: 506 "Chaldea"_2
The protagonist of the original work is exactly one of the Masters from Chaldea.
The so-called Master refers to magicians who have forged contracts with their Servants and are capable of commanding them.
The way Chaldea intervenes in human history to protect the foundation of humanity mainly relies on these Masters and their Servants.
"When a threat that could affect the entirety of human history emerges, Masters from Chaldea, along with their summoned Servants, will appear to investigate, survey, and hinder the occurrence of such a threat, and if necessary, use extraordinary measures to proactively excise distorted threads of history and repair anomalies that have manifested in human history,"
Reiger explained to Altoria.
"This is Chaldea, and they are also the foreign travelers mentioned in the prophecy of the Mirror Clan,"
Upon hearing this, Altoria’s eyes widened slightly.
"So the magicians from a foreign land referred to here are the ones sent by Chaldea?"
Altoria finally understood who exactly the prophesied foreign travelers that would assist her were.
"Exactly," Reiger confirmed firmly. "To date, they have conquered many singularities, repaired humanity’s foundation several times, and even saved it, successfully subjugating five distortion belts."
"Now, the very fabric of human history is on the brink of collapse due to this distorted world of the Fairy Country Britannia. Under such circumstances, Chaldea must have already detected the anomalies."
"Therefore, it’s likely that a Master from Chaldea has already infiltrated this Britannia, arriving within this Folklore World."
Reiger finally disclosed this overwhelmingly crucial matter to Altoria.
In the original work, it was with Chaldea’s assistance that Altoria embarked on her pilgrimage, walked the path of the savior, and ultimately fulfilled her mission, redeeming Fairy Country Britannia.
Strictly speaking, they were Altoria’s fated companions, entirely trustworthy allies.
By the way, the force Beryl belongs to is essentially antagonistic to Chaldea; the two can be considered enemies rather than friends.
Yes, Beryl also came from the realm of human history and opposes Chaldea; he is an undeniable villain.
"You seem to know quite a lot,"
Alberon remarked to Reiger, his voice laced with profound meaning.
"Not really," Reiger replied with an even tone, "Don’t you also know quite a bit?"
"I don’t know nearly as much as you do," Alberon said with a pointed tone. "I had thought you were an assistant from the realm of human history like those from Chaldea, or you might even be with Chaldea. But now, it seems you might have an even deeper origin than I imagined, Reiger."
Upon hearing this, Reiger turned his gaze to Alberon and smiled.
"That’s something I should be saying, shouldn’t I?" Reiger, still calm-faced, said, "Your origins should be deeper than anyone imagines, aren’t they?"
Alberon fell silent.
Reiger also ceased speaking and said no more.
Both were simultaneously engulfed in silence, casting an eerie atmosphere around them.
It was then that Altoria spoke up.
"...I thought my own background was mysterious and complex enough, but now it seems I might be the simplest of us all?"
Altoria wore an indescribable expression.
Seeing Altoria like this, Reiger and Alberon were briefly taken aback before they both laughed.
"Not at all, how could we compare to you, future savior?" Alberon said cheerfully, "Perk up, we are all counting on you."
Altoria huffed lightly, turned her head away, and wore a look that said she didn’t want to talk.
Reiger glanced at Altoria, then finally spoke to Alberon.
"Since you mentioned going to find Chaldea, does that mean Chaldea has already arrived in this Folklore World?"
Naturally, Alberon affirmed the question.
"This is intelligence I struggled to gather," Alberon replied. "If nothing unexpected occurs, Chaldea should have already arrived."
Reiger nodded, not surprised in the least.
This time aligned perfectly with his prediction when he was still in the royal palace.
Shortly after his wedding with Morgan concluded, Chaldea was indeed destined to arrive in Fairy Country Britannia.
According to the original work, after Chaldea’s arrival in Fairy Country Britannia, their landing point should be the previously mentioned Nameless Forest.
"Let’s go."
Alberon said to Reiger and Altoria.
"I’ll take you there."
With that, Alberon flew ahead on Blanca.
Reiger and Altoria immediately entered the carriage, one after the other, and followed Alberon as the white eight-legged horse pulled them along.
The sound of the carriage wheels soon filled the roads outside of Salisbury, kicking up trails of dust behind them.
"Foreign travelers, huh?"
Inside the carriage, Altoria gazed out of the window at the passing scenery, recalling the prophecy of the Mirror Clan.
The chosen one would undertake a pilgrimage with the help of a Foreign Magician, ultimately becoming the savior of Britannia, dethroning the false king and being crowned the true king.
Altoria had not been without hope or fantasy about what the prophesied Foreign Magician who would assist her might be like.
She had no friends, or rather, no true friends—just the fae from Tintagel Village who pretended to be her friends but never truly valued her.
Given this, it was natural for Altoria, who knew she would one day have like-minded companions, to fantasize about what kind of person they might be.
