Chapter 481: 443 Mysterious Priest

This was a streak of blinding flash resembling that of a meteor.

At that moment, a dark figure emerged above the dusty watchtower.
The figure was holding a Gold staff, draped in a pure white vestment robe, and wearing a mask on the face like what a priest from an exotic tribe would wear during sacrificial rituals. The figure floated down gently, landing in front of Reiger.
Looking at this mysterious priest, Reiger spoke with an emotionless face.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?"
As he asked, Reiger’s gaze subtly drifted to the other’s chest.
The other was not like the magic automaton dolls that had attacked Reiger before, with hollow chest cavities; instead, there was a heart.
However, that heart appeared to have stopped beating, completely motionless, and the sight was particularly eerie.

The mysterious priest raised the staff towards Reiger’s direction, and the staff erupted with a golden glow.

However, the mysterious priest simply pointed the staff in Reiger’s direction, and those incredibly fast flashes abruptly made a turn and continued their assault towards him.

Instantly, a series of flashes successively hit Reiger, triggering an array of explosive blasts that sent both Reiger and the roof of the building he was standing on flying.
Reiger’s figure flew out from the dust raised by the explosions, and moments later, a blue magical glow emanated from the outline of his body, stabilizing his form and suspending him mid-air.

Smoking all over, Reiger felt the sharp pain coursing through his body and his eyes began to gleam as he observed the mysterious priest.

The mysterious priest, however, snorted coldly, seemingly unwilling to waste any words on Reiger as before, and raised the staff again.
The brilliance flickered, the flash took form, and the mysterious priest launched a second attack on Reiger without hesitation, letting meteor-like flashes tear through the air and thunderously shoot forth.

Relying on his insight into the world and exceptional reaction capability, Reiger preemptively acted, initiating a spell that could nullify the magic of others.

The Sanctuary cast by Shalltear Bloodfallen, the first to third floor Guardian of the Nasalik Underground Tomb and a True Ancestor vampire, a spell capable of cutting off all attacks between foes and allies, immediately raised an absolute protective wall that acted like a magical barrier, blocking the incoming flashes.
"Boom boom boom boom boom———"
The flashes continuously struck the white protective shield, causing a series of intense explosions, yet they failed to shake the shield in the slightest.
As the caster of the magic, Reiger could still clearly feel the durability of [Powerful Sanctuary] rapidly dropping.
