Chapter 502: Chapter 503 Sir, How Do You Choose
"What do you say?" Bo Sishen’s eyes darkened, rubbing his temples, he had a vague sense of foreboding.
"I merely told the Second Young Madam that you would be loyal to her alone, that she is your only wife, and that a military marriage cannot be destroyed by anyone." Tan Mu stood respectfully to the side, reporting the situation.
"Why did you tell her that? That girl is very shrewd! Although she appears naive and foolish on the outside, she has more savvy than anyone inside!" Bo Sishen stood up in a rage, throwing the cup onto the floor.
Bo Sishen’s outburst of throwing objects scared Tan Mu tremendously.
He had been by Bo Sishen’s side for such a long time, even when Bo Sishen was angry, he always maintained an icy-cold demeanor, never showing any emotion on his face.
"Sir, are you alright?" Tan Mu asked tremblingly, hastily cleaning up the shattered glass on the floor.
"That girl has already started to suspect my and Uncle Hei Che’s identities." Bo Sishen paced back and forth impatiently.
This demeanor of Bo Sishen made Tan Mu feel incredulous.
A sir who can get angry, smile, or daydream, expressing joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness on his face slowly—it was indeed a good thing.
"Sir, didn’t the Second Young Madam already hear our conversation? Will she still suspect?" Tan Mu asked softly.
"Do you really think she’s that simple? My little wife, she is not simple." Bo Sishen looked at Tan Mu’s surprise, no longer intending to hide, "Nian Nian likes to keep things to herself, she doesn’t like to tell anyone anything. She has her own little thoughts that ordinary people can’t detect because she covers them up too well. Even I was almost deceived by her."
Listening to this, Tan Mu found it incredible.
Even such a clever sir would fall for a girl who had just turned 18, the Second Young Madam?
The room fell into a sudden silence.
Tan Mu suddenly remembered something and asked, "Sir, aren’t you going to Ying University today?"
"Not going these days, let’s give that girl a chance to calm down." Bo Sishen took a deep breath, lifted his eyes to look at Tan Mu, and said softly, "Go and pick her up from Bao Family tonight."
"Yes, sir," Tan Mu nodded.
"Also, investigate where Gu Junru is living now. Arrange to meet her." Bo Sishen instructed.
"Sir, I already found out last night that the woman is indeed Miss Gu, and I found her address too. I’ll go right now." Tan Mu handed the cleaned glass fragments to the arriving maid, then stood respectfully beside Bo Sishen, frowning, "Sir, if Miss Gu returns to your side..."
"Just go do it." Bo Sishen waved his hand, signaling Tan Mu to proceed with his tasks.
"Yes, sir."
...
Tan Mu drove to an apartment complex.
Waiting there, he looked at his watch, then glanced up to see a woman pushing a baby carriage coming out of the main entrance.
Tan Mu got out of the car and walked up to Gu Junru, "Miss Gu, please get in the car."
The woman pushing the baby carriage had flowing long hair, red lips, white teeth, and a delicate, pitiable demeanor.
"May I ask who you are..." Gu Junru hesitantly asked, nervously eyeing the man who had suddenly appeared, "How do you know my surname is Gu?"
Tan Mu was taken aback, incredulously looking at Gu Junru. Did Gu Junru not recognize him?
"May I ask, are you Miss Gu Junru?" Tan Mu asked in a low voice.
Gu Junru looked utterly shocked, "Yes, how do you know my name?"
"Miss Gu, don’t you recognize me?" Tan Mu frowned and asked.
"Should we know each other?" Gu Junru stepped forward, hurriedly picking up the child from the baby carriage, and looked cautiously at the man before her.
