Chapter 490: Chapter 491: Ensemble
Mu Shini was momentarily speechless, her fair and delicate fingers gently gliding across the dining table.
"Sit down."
Bo Sishen repeated, his tone cold.
"Oh..." Mu Shini obediently nodded and sat down on the dining chair.
"Eat meat, eat vegetables."
Bo Sishen picked up his chopsticks and placed some meat and vegetables into her dish.
"You eat too." Mu Shini picked up her chopsticks, watching his elegant movements, as graceful as those of a noble gentleman.
She spoke as she served Bo Sishen some vegetables.
"Mm." Bo Sishen glanced at the meat she had served him, a slight smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
He was always picky about food; even in the military district, the meals didn’t suit his taste, he always needed special arrangements.
The cook at home made colorful and delicious meals, but the dishes she served seemed even tastier.
When Tan Mu came down from upstairs, he saw the Young Madam and Mr. Bo serving each other food, a warm scene that made Tan Mu involuntarily laugh.
Bo Sishen’s ear twitched, he cast a cold glance at the chuckling Tan Mu, "What are you laughing at?"
Tan Mu quickly restrained his smile, walked over, and quietly said, "Sir, Young Master Hao didn’t open the door."
"I know." Bo Sishen responded indifferently.
Mu Shini watched the conversation between the two and silently continued eating.
She vaguely felt that there seemed to be some estrangement between Bo Sishen and Bao Tinghao.
...
After dinner, Bo Sishen and Tan Mu went to work in the study.
Meanwhile, Mu Shini sipped half a glass of lemon water.
She sat on the living room sofa flipping through a magazine, noticing a heavy military book on the small table beside the sofa.
Feeling bored, she picked it up and casually flipped through, eventually finding a photo in the middle of the book.
Mu Shini picked up the photo, frowning slightly; the man in the photo had a handsome and refined appearance, extremely charming in his military uniform.
The man in the photo had an air of familiarity between his brows, but she couldn’t pinpoint why.
At that moment, a violin sound started, she took the photo out of the book, closed it, and walked upstairs, following the music to Bao Tinghao’s room door, where she knocked.
Bao Tinghao, who was playing the violin, heard the knock and came out to open the door; he looked surprised when he saw Mu Shini, "Nian Nian, it’s you!"
"I was drawn here by the sound of your violin playing." Mu Shini said with a smile.
"You once asked if the room filled with instruments was mine, you came in before?" Bao Tinghao looked at Mu Shini.
"I didn’t mean to go in..." Mu Shini waved her hand, "But your piano is really amazing! I played it once before..."
"Nian Nian, you can play the piano? Why didn’t you tell me?" Bao Tinghao looked at Mu Shini with surprise and joy, "Can you join me in a duet of ’Canon’?"
"Sure!" Mu Shini, feeling the itch to play, agreed and entered the room at Bao Tinghao’s invitation. She put the photo temporarily by the piano, opened the lid, and sat down at the piano.
Bao Tinghao also picked up the violin, placing it on his shoulder, ready to go.
The two exchanged a glance full of understanding and began their duet.
The piano and violin sounded simultaneously.
A duet of the famous "Canon".
While working in the study, Bo Sishen was about to sign with his gold-plated pen when he suddenly heard the piano start again, causing him to accidentally leave a mark on the paper.
"Sir, are you alright?" Tan Mu naturally noticed Bo Sishen’s expression and asked.
"Is Bao Tinghao and Nian Nian playing together?" Bo Sishen coldly asked, his eyes icy.
