Chapter 294: Chapter 295: What Happened to You All Those Years Ago?
"I’ll go open the door."
Bo Sishen stood up, straightening the bathrobe that Mu Shini had tugged into a mess, then went to open the door.
Taking advantage of the moment when Bo Sishen went to open the door, Mu Shini quickly got out of bed, grabbed a pack of sanitary pads intending to run into the bathroom, only to realize it was entirely transparent. She cursed under her breath and then hid in the smoking room.
But she heard voices from outside the door that sounded somewhat familiar, as if she had heard them somewhere before.
Bo Sishen took three paper bags and, upon returning inside, noticed that Mu Shini was no longer on the bed, and there was a spot of bright red on the white sheets.
His eyebrows twitched at the sight.
"Nian Nian."
Bo Sishen called out, "It’s just the person delivering our clothes, not the water meter inspector."
What on earth is this girl afraid of?
Mu Shini peeked her head out of the smoking room and asked doubtfully, "Uncle, it’s really not the water meter inspector?"
Bo Sishen lifted the three paper bags in his hand, "It’s the clothes delivery."
Only then did Mu Shini finally breathe a sigh of relief and walked up to Bo Sishen.
Bo Sishen handed her a bag, "These are your clothes, go and change."
Receiving the bag, Mu Shini looked at him with a long gaze, "But the bathroom has transparent glass..."
"If I wanted you, a transparent bathroom wouldn’t be an issue."
Bo Sishen’s eyes flickered, a hint of mischief in the shimmering light as he turned to walk into the kitchen, "I’ll go make breakfast."
"Uncle, I want to take a shower. Go get something to cover the glass door for me..."
Mu Shini still felt uneasy, speaking softly as she watched his tall figure heading towards the kitchen.
Bo Sishen heard her words loud and clear.
He paused, turned back to look at her with coldly pressed lips, but his gaze was filled with tenderness, "If you still don’t trust me, I’ll step outside and wait until you’re done showering, then call me."
Bo Sishen said.
"Alright!" Mu Shini nodded quickly upon hearing this.
Bo Sishen shook his head helplessly, having no choice but to put down the bag in his hand and walked out.
After Bo Sishen went out, Mu Shini apologized, "Uncle, I’m really sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose. If you want to blame someone, blame that transparent bathroom!"
"Don’t shower for too long, be careful not to catch a cold again." Bo Sishen reminded her.
With a sudden click, Mu Shini locked the door securely.
Only then did she dare to shower comfortably.
At the moment Bo Sishen stepped out, he saw Tan Mu still there and froze for a moment, then his face darkened.
"Why are you still here? Nian Nian knows you’re someone close to her husband."
Bo Sishen spoke with a serious tone, clearly displeased.
Seeing Bo Sishen come out in a bathrobe, Tan Mu was also quite shocked.
"Sir, why are you out in a bathrobe? Did the Young Madam kick you out?" Tan Mu asked in a low voice, trying to suppress a laugh.
Bo Sishen maintained a composed expression, "Do you have any other matters?"
Returning to the main issue, Tan Mu said, "Sir, there’s a call from America saying Miss Li is unable to handle the inspection and is demanding to see you."
"If she took those two drugs back then, her body would undoubtedly have abnormalities. Whatever she wants, try to accommodate her as much as possible, she’s also a victim, and the Drug Testing Group is using her to hinder our actions."
Bo Sishen’s voice was cold, "But meeting me is out of the question."
He didn’t want to revisit the past events.
"Sir, did you two have a relationship back then?"
Tan Mu asked the question he’d been afraid to ask for the past two years.
