Chapter 74: Lock Him Up

Chapter 74: Lock Him Up

Elián;

Anger.

It’s all I feel as the recognition stamps in my mind.

My fists curl so tight, my nails dig into my palms as I glare at him.

At the bastard who sold my trust and cost me my home.

The fucker who got me into this mess.

I remember the smug grin on his face and the glint in his stupid eyes as my Father chased me about the house at gunpoint.

His comforting words flood my mind.

How he told me my sexuality didn’t affect our friendship, and how he said he would guard my secret with his life.

The same secret he unapologetically exposed to my parents.

"You fucking bastard!" I yell with all the pent-up frustration and anger in my system, and before my mind can catch up, my body is in motion.

In the blink of an eye, I’m on top of him.

I land blow after blow, and he shields his face with his hands as he struggles to get me off him, but there’s no moving me.

I’m certain he remembers me!

If I’m here, and I can remember our world, he should too! It makes no sense that he wouldn’t! Besides, he’s the only one here who’s also from home.

I’ve been given a shot at revenge, and I won’t miss it.

"You’re going to fucking pay!!" I rage before taking my teeth to his arm, and he screams as I chomp down like a feral animal.

"Elián!" Rhydian calls, but I pay him no mind.

This has nothing to do with him. He should stay out of it.

"You thought you would get away with it!?" I rage as I claw at him, and he simply screams and yelps like a spineless bitch.

A pair of arms suddenly wrap around me, and just as quickly as I got onto Bram, I find myself in the air.

I thrash violently with my arms and legs flaring in all directions as I struggle fruitlessly against Rhydian’s iron hold.

"Let go of me!" I rage, but he simply holds on tighter.

"Calm down, Elián!" He scolds, but I ignore him.

"Don’t tell me to calm down! Let me teach this bastard a lesson!" I scream, and Bram gets off the floor.

"You feral beast! How dare you!? Who the hell are you, even!?" He spits, and my eyes widen as my jaw drops.

"You still have the nerve to talk!? I’m his Omega, you dickwad!" I scream in fury, and he scoffs at me like I’m some dog with no bite.

"You clearly have no manners! No courtesy and no regard for your Alpha! How dare you barge in here like that!? It must be a strain dealing with an omega like you!" He spits, and I see red.

"Oh, you’re going to eat that back up!" I scream in rage as I claw at Rhydian’s arms, but he doesn’t let go.

Without pausing to think it through, I throw my head back with full force, and Rhydian groans and drops me as my head smashes into his nose.

I don’t bother to check on him before throwing myself at Bram.

One punch sends him to the ground, and as I get on him, I’m about to land another blow when the door to the room suddenly swings open.

I look up and pause when I see a furious-looking woman, dressed in a navy blue nightdress.

I look back at Rhydian when I realise the striking resemblance between them, and she scowls at me like I’m filth.

Ah... So this is Rhydian’s mom. The all-mighty witch of the snowy west...

Guards march into the room and tear Bram and me apart, and she lets out an agitated huff.

"Lock the boy up. I’ll attend to whatever this is tomorrow morning." She says, and my eyes widen.

Lock the boy up!?

She better not be talking about me.

I watch as she turns her back and begins to walk off, but my heart falls into my stomach when the guards start dragging me out of the room instead of Bram.

Wait... what!?

"Hey! What do you think you’re doing!? Hold on!!" I scream in panic, but no one pays any mind to me.

*******

Rhydian;

"Lock the boy up. I’ll attend to whatever this is tomorrow morning."

My heart skips a beat as I hear Mom say those words, and my head snaps up to the guards who are pulling Elián away.

"Hey! What do you think you’re doing!? Hold on!!" Elián’s scared voice calls, and I rush past the commotion after my mother, who’s almost halfway down the corridor.

"Mother, what are you doing? He’s a guest here. You can’t lock him up." I whisper frantically to her, and she sighs.

"He’s causing commotion in my palace in the dead of night. I have every right to lock him up." She replies, and my heart starts ramming against my chest as I hear Elaine scream, curse and struggle.

"Mom, he didn’t mean any trouble!" I state frantically, and she suddenly stops walking.

"Well, he caused trouble." She replies, and then she turns to face me.

"Look at you!" She speaks as she lifts my chin and stares at my bleeding nose.

"You can’t even control the thing." She spits, and my fists clench.

"He’s not a thing." I correct, and she scoffs.

Elian’s screams fade, and Mother crosses her arms under her breasts.

"I thought he wasn’t your omega." She presses, and I sigh.

"I lied. He’s my Omega. We all bought him. He is Ashfang’s property, Mother. Father wouldn’t like to know that he spent a night in some cell..." I begin, but she cuts me off.

"This is my kingdom, Rhydian! I am the Luna of this pack. Your father’s stupid judgment and bias towards Omegas do not apply here!" She scolds, and I gulp.

"That omega disturbed my sleep and hurt my son. He’s lucky I didn’t order to have him whipped." She adds, and I swallow as I stare at my mother.

"You’re just upset he interrupted your Alpha and me, aren’t you?" I question, and she pauses. Her expression suddenly shifts into a smile as she reaches for and gently pats my cheek.

"You’ve always been a brilliant little wolf, my precious boy." She says, and I stare at her in silence as anger floods my veins.

"This isn’t right. None of it is right. You know that. How could you kill so many people?? Twenty-five Alphas? Twenty-six omegas? How could..."

"So what if I killed!? That’s barely one-third of the pack’s population. I did. What I had to, and I will kill a whole lot more if it means this pack gets its true heir!" She spits, and my jaw drops.

"For so long, I have had to share with and endure being around so many disgusting beings. All I want is for my son to be crowned the next king of BeastHeaven, so that we can lead this kingdom to the heights it requires. If we step on a few thorns on the way, it wouldn’t matter when we’re on our throne with our feet elevated. Then you can have and fuck as many omegas as you want, but for now, you will put your seeds in that Alpha and you will both give me healthy grandchildren!" She replies, and my soul leaves my body as I stare at the monster who birthed me.

I take a step away from her as shame embraces me and tears fill my eyes.

"And if I refuse? If I don’t want to be king? If I don’t want to be a father yet?" I push, and I see something shift in her eyes.

She smiles and steps towards me. I flinch as she takes her hand to my face, but she simply giggles as she grabs my cheeks and uses the sleeve of her dress to wipe off the blood on my face.

"Well... I still haven’t decided on a fitting punishment for the disturbance your little omega caused tonight." She says with a smile, and my eyes widen.

I try to brush her hands away, but they don’t budge.

"I have all night to think about punishments to set him right, and I must say... I already have a few ideas." She continues as she coats a small patch of the sleeve with saliva and then uses it to wipe off the bits of dried blood on my face.

She finally steps back and tilts her head as she inspects my face.

"How much you choose to annoy me will determine the boy’s fate. That boy is a disease clinging to you, and if I have to cut him out... I will." She concludes, and I blink at her.

She turns away from me, and just as she walks off, she speaks.

"Put some eyes on your nose. It should help with the swelling." She says, and I watch as her figure disappears into the night.

I stay rooted to the spot as the silence of the night embraces me.

I don’t get the chance to think when that revolting smell of rotting honey clouds my senses.

He doesn’t say a word, but I can feel him standing right behind me.

"Get lost." The words roll off my tongue with enraged ease, but he doesn’t budge.

"Alpha Rhydian..." he begins, but I’ve had enough.

"I said, get out of my sight!" I scream, and in less than a second, he sprints past me, trembling in fear.

I crumble to the floor with my fingers grabbing fistfuls of my hair.

I can’t stand much more of this.

Why did Father send me here!? What the fuck am I supposed to do!?

How do I handle this situation!?

I need to get the fuck out of here.

Elián and I. But I can’t go back if Father doesn’t send for us.

I can’t... I can not let her hurt Elian. I have to find a way to get him out of this mess. I have to somehow...
