Chapter 860: Chapter 706: Liking You Since the First Glance 47_3

But Lin Ye didn’t recognize her. She slipped backstage, ready for a tearful reunion, only for Lin Ye to mistake her for an autograph-seeking fan and handed her a stack of signed photos.

Zhao Linlin was furious and went to sell them at the hotel entrance after the concert ended.

Unfortunately, Lin Ye caught her red-handed, leaving her utterly embarrassed.

She stubbornly sold all the signed photos and, on her way back to the hotel, she coincidentally ran into Lin Ye on the top floor.

Lin Ye mocked her, saying she was crazy for money, obsessed with it, and willing to stoop so low just to stay in a nice hotel.

She was about to go mad with anger, right?

She swung her high heel at him, and such a stance, Lin Ye had never seen before, convinced she was his crazy fan. If she hadn’t been a girl, he would’ve charged at her already.

But unluckily, the high heel hit him square on the face, catching him off guard, and thus, he got injured.

Lin Ye’s beautiful features twisted in rage.

She was so frightened she knelt on the carpet, her big eyes innocently looking at him, saying that he started it by verbally attacking her, and as a celebrity, he couldn’t hit back without ruining his reputation.

Seeing this wasn’t enough to convince him, she continued to argue, "I’m your neighbor, used to be back at Wanhai Garden villas, the chubby little girl next door."

Lin Ye’s expression changed several times, and then he turned and left.

That’s the whole story of being a fan.

Unexpectedly, she was in such a good mood telling them she had someone she liked, and they didn’t ask much and took it as truth. It’s just they didn’t expect it to unfold like this. Zhao Linlin seemed to leave out some details, but since she didn’t mention them, nobody else asked.

After cheering up Zhao Linlin, as if a long time had passed, Jian Dan looked at the car not far away. Hai En was still there. She smiled at Lai Wei, "Weiwei, let Hai En take Mi Lu and Linlin back to school first. We can go together and squeeze into his car."

Lai Wei nodded, "I can handle that. Let’s go, we’ll do just as arranged."

Jian Dan winked, "Weiwei, you and Hai En really suit each other."

Lai Wei was stunned, then smiled, "Maybe. I hope, as you say, we really are a good match."

Hai En dropped everyone off at their destinations, and finally arrived at Jian Dan’s dormitory. He looked at Jian Dan with a playful smile, "Can I keep Weiwei for half an hour?"

Jian Dan blinked, "Of course, but not more than half an hour, or else they’ll close the doors soon."

Hai En nodded, "Thanks."

Jian Dan turned and left, Lai Wei looked at Hai En puzzled, raising an eyebrow with a gentle and soft expression, "What’s up?"

"To confirm something."

"What?"

Hai En pulled her into his arms as they stood under the shade of a big tree. Lai Wei felt uncomfortable, thinking it was an inappropriate place and tried to push him away. But he didn’t budge, his voice hoarse, "Weiwei, don’t push me away."

Lai Wei paused, her force weakened, "This isn’t good. There’re people around, it’s inappropriate."

"We’re boyfriend and girlfriend, why isn’t it appropriate? Weiwei, after you have dinner with my sister this weekend, are you really willing to take me home to meet your mom?"

Lai Wei hummed a response, "But our home is in an alleyway, and if you stay overnight, you won’t have anywhere to sleep."

Hai En laughed, his smile gentle and calming, "No problem, I can sleep on the floor."

Lai Wei looked at him, blinking, "Hai Young Master, do you really want to sleep on our home’s floor that much?"

Hai En leaned close to her ear, planting a light kiss, and seeing Lai Wei slightly shiver, he laughed, "If you let me stay in your room, I’d gladly do so."

Lai Wei was taken aback, the redness in her cheeks faded slightly. She stared at Hai En’s eyes. Not knowing what she meant, Hai En asked, "What’s wrong?"

Lai Wei, "Hai En, do you know in the alleys, there’s a type of child called a cupboard kid?"

Hai En was first confused, then shook his head, but he held Lai Wei tightly, "Weiwei, if I said anything that offended you, please don’t mind me."

Lai Wei shook her head, knowing Hai En came from a prestigious family, and couldn’t comprehend things from such perspectives. Even if he unintentionally said something she didn’t like, he wouldn’t do it on purpose. In such cases, blaming him would be unreasonable, wouldn’t it?

"Hai En, our home is just under ten square meters, so small that turning around is challenging. We don’t have rooms; I grew up sleeping in a cupboard."
